How does your game fit the theme?
Calm: Peacefully exploring sandwich combinations and building your menu.
Storm: Frantically trying to build sandwiches to fulfill orders while driving through the city at break-neck speeds.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
All the code is our own... for better or worse.
Most of the art is our own.
The city assets are from: https://nyknck.itch.io/citypackpixelart
The music attributions are listed in the description.

I liked how it went from calm cooking game to classic GTA style. good job!
Really interesting idea and nice execution. Love the concept as it puts a little bit of a twist on a standard food service game. Love the concept and the graphics are great. Can't wait to see further developed. FEEDBACK:
1. Most of the assets are blurry. There is a setting in godot to turn off the blurriness on pixel sprites (look it up and should be able to find it).
2. I would first not have any premade recipes so that the player can understand that concept of making their own recipes. Don't let them start a game without at least one or two recipes.
3. I enjoy having to aim my truck to throw the food. But maybe have it aim at ur cursor with a custom cursor so that its less of a hassle.
Otherwise stellar game can't wait to see it further developed.
nice game! it does make you wanna use your creativity and make and name lots of different combinations but at the end if you are anything like me you will forget it all which is a bit sad XD
loved the game though! it was creative and no other game in the jam were anything similar to it, and also my favorite part was the riding! for some reason whenever i turned to the left or right with the car, it felt so good
Quite an interesting game with a potential. I liked it (Scored 4242).
Suggestions:
- Change tank control to other movement, it would make it more intuitive to drive (except if you intended to make driving harder on purpose).
- Timer or indicator for when customer will disapear - had a sammich tossed at a client who dissapeared a moment later.
- Maybe a map of the city (not a minimap, but a map proper) which user can look onto? Have ended up few times in wrong sectors of the town.
Cute game - I love the sandwich customization mechanic, very cool. The city was well designed and the voicelines for characters receiving sandwiches were funny too lol
I wish the colliders for the sandwich were a bit bigger, I found myself missing quite a few sandwiches out there!
Overall great jam submission, well done!

I really like the self-imposed difficulty aspect when creating sandwiches to serve. I can imagine it adding many hours of replayability when constantly serving sandwiches for a better high score. It's quite a simple yet riveting source of play.
That replayability, however, gets squandered the moment the player starts delivering them. The vehicle controls are functional when moving forward and it adds to the hectic life of operating a food business on the road. However, backing up is completely unintuitive, with left turning right and right turning left as soon as the truck is in reverse. The acceleration of the truck isn't really an issue until I needed to plant myself to make sandwiches for the customers. When serving them, they are sent as small projectiles from the back left of the truck, so I always had to micro-adjust and reverse every time I want to position myself to serve my sandwiches. Additionally, the hitboxes on these projectiles are unforgivably small that makes giving customers their orders tedious even if I'm positioned correctly. If the reverse controls were adjusted properly, and the means of giving sandwiches to customers was a lot more robust, like simply being near the customer or having some top-down aiming control scheme, then I can see more replaying this game for what it's worth.
Cool take. It took a bit for me to figure out you drive up to a person, then make the sandwich! Custom order. Enjoyed the music. I felt rushed to make all the orders. It was great. Good entry.
Thanks for playing! Glad you enjoyed it :)
Yeah we wanted to build in a self-imposed difficulty mechanic, and give the player the freedom to make it as easy or as difficult as they wish. So technically you can either build the sandwiches while you drive and then drive-by throw them at the customers, which would be faster, but you run the risk of throwing away a perfectly good sandwich if you miss. On the other hand you can do traditional style and drive up, make the sandwich, and throw it right at them, which is slower, but less risk. It's up to the player to decide :)
Cheers!
Really liked the idea of making your own sandwiches and then throwing them to people. It was a lot of fun!! Good job :)
Feedback:
The truck movement felt a bit weird for me, it was difficult to maneuver through the streets, specifically if you wanted to make a 180º turn just because the customers were on the other side of the street.
Also I wish there could be some kind of indicator to see when the customer is gonna leave, sometimes you prepare a sandwich and when you are ready to throw it away, the customer is already gone, which is a bit frustrating.
Awesome game anyway, keep going :)
Thanks for playing and for the feedback!
I agree with the 180º turn issue, we were planning on adding in a drift button so you could crank the truck around, we will definitely consider adding it in the next version!
The timer indicator on the customer markers is also a great idea! I can imagine that would be quite helpful, especially when it comes to prioritizing orders.
Thanks again :)
Making custom sandwiches was great fun and the voice lines were hilarious!
Incredible work!
Cute little game! The driving is fine, concept is simple and fun! Only thing I kinda do not like really is you can miss throwing the sandwich, not sure how to fix it while still being a mechanic. I like the idea of throwing the sandwiches.
Liked the ability to prepare combinations of your own and name them that people then ask for duing the game. The mechanic is simple but fun, going around and delivering the sandwiches they want.
I think to improve it, the textures related to pixel art currently look blurry. For that I think the pixel art textures should be separated from the non pixel ones (if any are currently mixed), and the setting for the textures with pixel art on them changed to Nearest in Godot for the pixel art ones so they look sharp in game.
Other than that I think you did a really great job on this game and it's really fun to play!
I get "<null>" and nobody asks for any sandwich. This happens on all the other people too when driving around, not just this specific one.
In case I made some mistake somewhere, I might skip rating the game for now and may consider to play it again and see if there's a way I can do something else, or do something specific that might avoid this error.
I made tons of different sandwiches, it was a good game experience thanks, and I was not expecting to drive, t was a good suprise, and it fits the theme perfectly good job on good graphics and sounds, and transitin between calm and storm phase was well made
Here is mine if someone wants to try:
A fun little game that puts a lot of pressure on you. To improve either show the default sandwich recipes or make the players make their own ones.
