hey man I like the dinos, I think they look sick. The intro at the start is also pretty good but gameplay was super quick. One thing I would say is that if you fail, it would be cool to have a cut scene or something where the dinos attack you lol. Other than that, good job on the submission man :)

How does your game fit the theme?
The game begins with a false sense of security as you are a time-travel tour guide who has brought tourists to the past. Initially, it feels like a relaxing and serene moment... but then things go wrong: the time machine malfunctioned, and in just 3 minutes, you'll be hit by a meteor storm.
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?

If it weren't for these tourists who dream of being eaten by dinosaurs the game would be ordinary. But this idea that you should not only collect resources, but also make sure that no one gets eaten, makes the game special.
I won with one surviving tourist, lol
Love it!
Hi! If you're interested in seeing a massive update to the game, I just created the Steam page for it! It would be awesome if you could add it to your wishlist—it would help a lot!
I absolutely love the intro dialogue, amazing job, really puts it appart from other resource collectors!
the voice acting at the start seems nice, but is it made with AI?? i have that feeling so i voted a bit lower onn the audio aspect, if itt's actually voiced i will rate it higher
also the game works, idk why they wannt to die that badly ttho xd.
not a fan of the gameplay but game is very polished here
Ahahahah yes they are a bit too much curious maybe! Ahahah
Yes you are right, I own a software that let me make professional voiceovers! (But of course, in order to make it sound like that, I add to do a lot of adjustments in postprocessing!) It the first time I used it and I'm pretty happy with the result!
The gameplay is to be completed in my opinion, I'd like to add a lot of new features in future, I'd also like to know what improvement would make it better in your opinion? What would you add to the gameplay?
Thanks for your nice review!
i would make the camera feel less robotic, and i would add some visual cues that tell you when someone is in danger.
to make the game longer maybe some more levels or "minigames" . like grabbing all the remaining people like pikmin and transport them to another place!
about the professional voiceover i am fine with it. i just feel weird when i notice something is made with thhe help of ai xd!
would help if you check out ouur game too!
Indeed, not only our games have the extinction even theme, but they are about gathering things for a ship! haha
The game feels and looks very nice and it is easy to understand. Really great job :)
Everyone praises the voice acting, and I don't disagree; it's great.
I think this game captures the feeling of having several plates spinning at once fairly well. However, I also agree that the number of tourists to keep track of and how far you had to go away from them at times to collect resources made the gameplay a little tough. Perhaps the game would have been more manageable with a wider camera, or a mini-map (although that may defeat the point)?
I'm also not sure why there's a sprint button, as there isn't really any reason you'd ever want not to sprint. As is, it's just something which you hold down the whole time.
Of course, all these are footnotes; you made a pretty fun game. I'm impressed by the level of polish - nice job!!
Thanks a lot! I completely agree with you. You're right there's no real reason not to be able to run, and I hadn't thought about that! Hahahaha. Still, I like that there's the option to run, as without it, someone might have requested that feature anyway.
Unfortunately, I didn’t have enough time to balance the difficulty of the game. For now, the only lose condition is running out of time. You can still win even if all the tourists are "lost," but this only impacts your final score!
Anyway, thanks again for your kind review!
Loved the voice acting in the intro, it did a really good job of establishing the setting quickly and made it feel really polished! Having to keep all the tourists from getting themselves eaten was fun and could make for some really interesting levels down the track.
This was an interesting game with amazing voice acting! I like how it implements with the theme and in general, like the premise of the game!
I found it hard trying to save all the tourists so maybe you could have a level system? Lower levels have less tourists + less items to collect and it gets harder as you progress.
Good voice acting, but I wish I could have skipped it or sped it up.
it was pretty fun, intuitive, and the concept is good too. nice game!
voice over for text that makes easy to get into the story, not all itmes spawned to collect in time of 300, could not wait the each round the same voice over, sorry, e or other space key does not work to skip the repeat styled audio; But 5 Stars on Audio, when the time 300 was over the deflector shields did not get off so that protective barriers can’t block incoming fire and other projectiles, to hit the Ufo or Dinos to attack Alien Survivors, (or give more time with a direction indicator (heal or sell to many mushrooms) “Other aliens could warn and receive a call to return to base instead of being eaten by dinosaurs.”). Thank you all, for follow, play, rate our games: investus.itch.io
That was pretty interesting. I liked having to manage both the tourists and gathering resources, however, the dinosaurs weren't really much of a threat, so I feel like they could have done more here. When you win it just kind of ends, so my main suggestion would really be to add an ending cutscene where you escape, and get to watch the meteor storm roll in while the time machine warps out. Overall, nice work with this game!
Hey! Congrats on submitting, this is success by itself and will make you better overall! Here is my review:
- Game Design:
- GJ overall, i would just point that some dinosaurs stay close and eat tourists. Even when i was just chasing tourists and didn't gather anything i got down to 6. I feel like it should be even very slightly possible to save everyone.
- also a minimap, arrow, or warning when a tourist leaves should exist cause you can't see them all the time to gather the supplies.
- Fun:
- This is a bad criteria cause fun depends on who you target. What i found fun was the voice in the start, the whistling to get tourists back.
- Innovation:
- Has similarities with other games but i found it refreshing! Gj
- Theme:
- I feel like it misses the storm part. Maybe if the environment lighting changed as you get close. to the meteors and even small meteors fall.
- Graphics:
- Very good, I loved the Dome effect.
- Audio:
- Nice. Could have more sfx like meteors, running, dinosaurs eating and a background music.
Extra: make intro skippable to replay.
GJ Overall! I Enjoyed it! Keep it up!
Really fun game, I think it could be taken in different directions. Like juxtaposing the cutesiness with some more gore when the tourists get eaten or something else visual. Nice voiceover in the beginning. Would've Liked an option before the intro to change audio volumes. When picking up items, the sound itself isn't bad, but since it cuts out the ambience every time, it becomes a bit jarring. A starter screen and end screen would be nice as well. A bit nitpicky on my part I know, but I get like that with the games I like the best. Pumping this out in 7 days is insane!
Wow thanks a loooottt!!! I really appreciate comments like this! I was working on a menu screen where you could set the difficulty...I did it this morning but there was a bug and I hadn't enough time to fix it!
The settings menu is something that I have to implement since it would make the game more complete.
I'm open to other suggestions! I think it might be cool to have also more maps where each map has it's own characteristics and also new dinosaurs. What do you think?
Really nice game, reminds me of the meteors in Ark, where you have to protect the base, I love the control of the player, the sound quality is great. Nice work!
The idea is so original, and the game is really fluid! I love how all the characters, as well as the dinosaurs, seem to have their own life.
A good improvement could be adding a difficulty selection to make it simpler or harder. I enjoyed playing it so much that I would love to see the game with more levels and some new mechanics!
Please keep updating it!!!
