How does your game fit the theme?
It's a roguelike extraction game where you do your work calmly for a few minutes then storm comes and loads of creatures spawn

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Wrote all the code, made all the creatures from scratch. Used a few assets for environment and furnitures. Made music and SFX from scratch.

Wanted to play your game, but I don't enjoy 3D or horror, so I'll probably pass. Looks nice though. All the best!

Oh it's totally fine! I'm not into 2D tricolor games so I passed on  yours too. It looks clean though. I wish you the best too.

It's actually hard to believe you made this in a week, extremely impressive, especially the artstyle (duh).

Kinda wish the waves you need to sync were higher resolution though, it was very hard correctly see a pattern for me

Developer

yep. I didn't have time to increase the number of dots. Thanks for trying the game.
higher resolution is definitely will be in plans of post jam version

Will you be working on a multiplayer mode in the future?

Submitted(+1)

the vibe and artstyle are great exploration and minigame with the frequencies and amplitudes are fun. Great game

This is easily my favourite game out of all the ones I played for this jam. Impressed with the visuals, the characters are so cute, and the eldritch horror creatures are stunning as well. In general I think it was a nice take on the theme, also with a bit of Lethal Company sprinkled here and there (the research quota! Nice idea!)

I was really impressed to see this game after just a week of development, really cool and fun, and definitely something that I think should be expanded into a bigger concept!

Also I love Lovecraft sooooo I might be a bit biased here :P

Very impressed with the visuals in this game, the hazmat suits have no right being that cute.  Exploring the mansion was a lot of fun.

I'm surprised that you've done such a good job in such a short time. The locations are full of items and the characters are very diverse. My computer was lagging a bit before I entered the mansion. So I had a hard time figuring out what to do at first, but it was a good experience after all.

Great game. love the warping effect!

Developer

Hey! thanks for playing. You praising warp effect but not saying anything else got me curious. You did go into the mansion right? :D

Every time I went near the portal my fps drops down to like 0.5 but its probably cuz I have a low end computer.

Developer

on WebGL?

Ye, I can't download it cuz im on a linux

Developer

thanks for giving it a try

This ia a really solid game! when i got the hang of the anomaly clearing mechanic, it was a blast. a lot of interesting enemies and concept! lots of upgrades and over all a nice expreience to play. I founf a tiny bug where i could buy things while in menu. Great work! :D

I really like this game! The art is very good, the music is very good, I like everything about it! The frequency & amplitude thing can be a little bit difficult to grasp, but once you understand how it works, it does fit the game very well. I definitely did not expect this out of a "Calm before the storm". 10/10

Hee-ho. Cute game

I really enjoyed the frequency matching addition to the Lethal Company formula. The ideas you told me you had for the multiplayer vision of the game sounded fun as well! The shaders worked very nicely with the rest of the art of the game and I loved the chunky sounds of the frequency machine.

Thanks for sharing with my stream! Here's the VOD of your game: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/2252858600?t=01h10m38s

Excellent atmosphere and sound design, and really enjoyed the anomaly mini-game! Good job!

I really like the art and atmosphere. I think I struggled a bit with the wave matching minigame. Maybe better presets or more fine control of the wave - knob  for instance - could help players like me. I am gonna download the build and play more!

Really great game, would like to see this game fleshed out in the future!

Submitted(+1)

So impressive that you made this in 7 days!

Submitted(+1)

Damn great job in 7 days! The game is quite fun(nny) and engaging. I would play more of it :)

Submitted(+1)

YES MORE PLZ THNX. <3

Very funny game. Unfortunately I couldn't solve the puzzle (I ended up just randomly poking until the signals coincided) and after that some madness began from which I could not escape. But the mechanics of the puzzle with waves were very interesting and the madness was stylish. I enjoyed this experience! Thank you.

I really like the visual style, the mansion is very unsettling. And I love the frequency mechanic

This game is trippy af. I had no idea what I was doing. Giant jello blobs were chasing me, something was using it's tongue to around the rum, a giant baby grabbed me with his hand. I think I finally understood the mechanic of matching frequencies after a couple times. Turns out I couldn't survive a single day! I'm trying to get through as many gamejam games as I can, so for now I'm going to pause there and give the game a good rating. But I've bookmarked this page to come back after the jam and play some more to find out what the heck is going on, because this is a sweet one!
