I completed the game in hard.

The game is very well rounded, the presentation, both visuals and music, is nice, I like the very smooth movement of everything, it's dynamic and fun, the levels are different and are fun to apprehend, the speed of the obstacles feels right and with the difficulty levels the difficulty level is as you see fit which means it's consequently right on point.

Very cool game. It could for sure be developped into something bigger too.

Awesome game! I don't know if I should call it a bullet hell or nah, but the thing is still good. 7/10

very cool game with clever uses of its mechanics! I don't really have any flaws to point out, its just a really solid concept that I would love to see expanded!

This game is very cool! It's a clever idea with pleasant geometric visuals, and the music and sound set the mood perfectly. I don't think I'd call it a bullet hell game, but it's neat so I don't really care ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I think the level design could use a bit more work to ensure that gameplay is always fair, because I encountered points where damage felt unavoidable or very nearly so. The spinning cross on the top-left of level 1 was a particular offender: it splits space into four sections with no indication of which one the player should head to. Choose correctly (the left) and there's a decent chance you'll avoid damage just by luck, but choose wrong and it feels/maybe is impossible to avoid the sweeps that move across the stage while the cross is turning.

That said, I liked this game enough to capture video and review it frame-by-frame to try and give precise and accurate feedback. This is a great prototype and I'd love to play an expanded version with more levels, designed with more fairness in mind.

thank you so much!! That is definitely a problem, and it's one I only noticed just before the jam ended, so I sadly wasn't able to fix it. There's a similar event in level 2 where if you go right when the spinning bar appears instead of left you take unavoidable damage. I do really want to expand upon this idea and if I do I will make sure these events don't occur. And as for it not being a bullethell, I'd agree. It started as one, but as the concept evolved and I had more time with it, I realized that if I had regular bullethell patterns, it would be very unfair, and the points where you get hit just by "being in the wrong place" would be far too frequent.

Oh! I saw this one in the discord but hadn't played it and didn't know if it was submitted! (I didn't know the name of it so when I didn't see a picture of the game as cover art while browsing I was a bit sad) I was really happy to see that it was! This was a lot of fun to play!

Developer

Thank you! Glad you found it!

Neat concept with some pretty creative level design and music sync. Oddly enough I found the first stage to be harder than the second. It would be nice if the player had some i-frames, because it’s far too easy to get hit repeatedly the same bullet across multiple characters.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Yeah the second stage had to be cut a bit short, so it was a bit easier. I should have made them both a bit easier, i-frames would have helped with that

i've loved this concept since the first time i saw this on the GDB Discord! perfectly polished and fun to play!

Thank you!

This is actually so genius lmao, I had to skip the levels cause my brain is a little small but I loved it!

Developer

Thanks! It was a lot more difficult than it should have been so don't feel bad about skipping levels!

Very creative game. I feel the difficulty was a bit early on. Perhaps if you got healed partially for surviving for a bit, it would keep the chaotic feel while making it less punishing. The SFX were neat, the movement one in particular sounded satisfying. The hurt sound was maybe a tad loud and kept surprising me. The twist on a typical bullet hell game was, once again, very creative. I liked it a lot.

Really fun game, maybe a tad difficult.

Developer

Thank you! Yeah, I got a lot of complaints about the difficulty, As a dev its hard to judge. But your right I should have added a checkpoint or healing system!

Submitted

It did not seem like it was going to be that difficult but my brain could not keep up lol. Very simple but challenging concept. I'm glad I tried this out. Great job.

thank you!

Glad to see that my ui suggestion got in, in the end! It's a brain hustler. And a real cool game with a cool music that fits the action to the beat.

If I had to give a piece of criticism, I think having a pause on death to see where and how you messed up would improve the experience. Terrific job!

Developer

Thank you, and thanks for your advice with the ui, I think it turned out great thanks to you!

I saw this during its development on the discord, and I think I played an earlier verison. It still has the polish it had then, the cool baseline idea, really groovy music and a clean aesthetic. I think my only main point of improvement would possibly be adding I frames, as I found it was very easy to suddenly loose 2 or 3 lives through one bad position. But overall a really polished, well executed game.

Developer

Thank you! Yeah I agree, I think It's a bit punishing as it is and i-frames would help with that

Takes more brain power than I can scrape up lol. Very cool game

Absolutely incredible! Such a unique idea, blending bullet-hells, precise rhythmic movement, and fast-paced puzzle-solving. And the tutorial lends a nice layer of polish to the experience. Just excellent!

Super cool game. The controls are smooth and the music fits very well with the mechanics. I think the game got the theme LIMITED and create a cool 'precision puzzle'. Congrats.

Developer

thanks!

Super cool and unique! Really a fully thought out game. My feedback is that I wish there were more checkpoints, because having to wait through the first few waves each time can be really annoying

Developer

thank you! yeah your right I should have added checkpoints, but I wasn't able to get round to it!

I knew I had to immediately play this one, and as expected it's sooo good! Everything is top notch. The art style is amazing, the gameplay is so solid and unique. It's really fun (and really difficult). The amount of polish in this game is astonishing! And the music... so damn good! Well done dude :)

Thanks! It was nice seeing your words of encouragement in the discord while working on it :)
