A fun concept that I could see being refined into a very fun game! I liked the movement and I think that if you're going to keep working on this game, that that should be the focal point: fun jumpy stuff! In addition to that I'd love to see in-air steering, as I think it adds a lot to it. The level is a bit big right now, but if you were to condens it, add more trampolines and tricky jumps, maybe even some moving elements, I could see this being even more awesome! I did really like the cozy pumpkin and treehouse look, it reminded me of monkey island and such. Good job and thanks for participating!

The project is interesting.
With a nice and simple graphic.

The atmosphere is super Halloween. I also bumped my pumpkin under the trampoline. It must be frustrate if you didn't get a stable team.  You've done a very good job!

I liked the trampoline

Super nice mechanics, really like the simple and captivating art.

There are some minor hiccups with how it feels to control the pumpkin, e.g. having to the direction prior to charging your jump etc. ?
Of course also the lack for sound/music is a bummer, but again its a Jam so I would also skip those parts (and did so for my entry)

Besides that it feels very good, and really had some good chill cozy vibes going, could definitely see me playing this on a phone as well :D

The visuals are super cool! And I liked the setting - reminded me of home with the graveyard just across the street.

Spooky cozy autumn vibe - keep it up and don't fix the trampoline :D

I enjoyed being a jumpin' pumpkin.

For some constructive feedback that hasnt been said below, it would be great to have some more feedback on how far and the direction of the jump when you are holding the jump button.

Neat little game ^_^ well contained and I enjoyed the diverging paths; I think all of the constructive feedback I would give has been covered in the comments below.

What HAVE I unleashed?! I travelled almost exclusively by jumping. It's a satisfying squish -> jump. I liked bouncing on the trampoline. Nice touch having the fiery king in the background glow.

Very minimalist, but fun. Could be greatly improved by adding some background music and sound effects.

I like the  physics of your movement and when the path diverges it gets really interesting. I just wigh there was more contrast between the layer you can walk and the one in the background as they are both relly dark.

Good art style but this game really needs SFX

I hit my head on the trampoline :D I love that "feature" I was not expecting that. Very cute pumpkin :) Me likey

Developer(+2)

Haha while this wasn’t intentional (I ran out of time to fix that) I did also think it was funny. Thanks for playing!

Submitted(+2)

I found this too, I think it's better not "fixed" - trampolines work both ways up right?

Developer(+1)

Lol! They do for sure, but my concern is that it doesn’t make sense. You’re walking “south” of the trampoline, not under it really, so it doesn’t make sense that you would bump your head on it when you jump.

Submitted(+1)

Yeah I get you! I did enjoy bouncing it though, physics and reality be damned!

Developer(+1)

Haha very fair point! And that’s what matters.

I thought the addition of the trampoline was quite amusing. I may or may not have just jumped on it a couple times before returning to my goal lol.  I enjyyed the simple yet clean art style. Nicely done

When I first noticed the pumpkin in the back was growing I was so happy to collect more of the magic pumpkin growing balls.

Second highlight was the trampoline ^^

Sorry to hear that your sound homies ghosted you but still very good work for a solo project!

I would have loved a charging bar that tells you how long you can press for the maximum boost ( I'm a bit of a min-maxer and tried to speedrun the game xd )

Hooray, I unleased the pumpkin king! ... That's good right?

The hopping movement is a refreshing way to do a platformer. The slight squish of the pumpkin made the jump pretty satisfying. Some air control would have been nice.

Sometimes people can't make it to the start of the jam or aren't in the right state of mind to participate. It happens, better luck next time.

Developer(+1)

Haha yes that is the only game end state, I’ll leave it up to you to decide if it’s good :D Thank you for the kind words.

And fully agreed, game jams are a luxury and sometimes they fall through, though it’s best to communicate to your teammates if you’re not going to be able to participate.

Interesting visual style of the game!
Let's move on to my notes:
- You can fall out of the map if you go left at the very beginning.
- There wasn't enough music in the background, something hyping.
- As usual from casual games, I would like movement during the flight.
- I would like a competitive element, in the future it will be possible to add, for example, a "wall of death" that appears at the beginning and goes to the end, and you need to have time to collect all the souls before this wall overtakes us. By the way, you can also use a pumpkin instead of a wall
Thanks for the game!
P.S It's funny that at first 0/10 souls, after 1/13

Loved the artwork! Wish the game had faster move options and clearer platforms. I'm sorry to hear about the sfx guy ghosting you :(

Although it's unfortunate that there was no sfx, I think it helped me tolerate much further than I would have been able to normally. I'm a huge fraidy cat so I generally stay away from Horror. Got 12/13 and went up to the long path but I was too scared to finish it ;w;

The squish on the pumpkin jump looked cute, I was holding it for way longer than I needed to initially but I got the hang of it after a few. I also may have jumped too much under the trampoline hehe

Very fun jumping mechanic, and the trampoline was such a fun interaction! A shame sfx didn't make it
