nice game, i really like the theme interpretation
Thank you so much!
Simple and effective in term of theme interpretation. I just feel like the jump need a bit a lil bit of squash and maybe extra live or checkpoint I guess ?
Thank you for the comment! We had a plan for the checkpoint, but sadly ran out of time to implement it. The idea was to have save-points at the benches, and to create a bigger level. Hopefully we'll be able to go back at some point and fix that!
Nice pixel art and VFX!
I felt like the jump fall was a little bit fast for my liking, but other than that, the platforming was solid, and the letter gun was fun as well.
Thank you for trying the game and for your comment! We will keep that in mind next time!
That’s actually a powerup, which isn’t a terribly well thought out choice of icon on my part, hahaha. I’ll have to keep that in mind for the future.
Thank you for the kind words about the music - it’s the first time I’ve ever made some!
Thanks for playing!
Nice entry, good idea on the letter bullets :)
Thanks so much!
Very nice controls, neat idea, and I thought the letter gun was hilarious.
Thank you for your lovely comment!
Decent gameplay, graphics and audio. Great entry!
Thank you for trying out the game and for your nice comment!
Fun game with a nice art style. Liked the parallax background and glitch effects. Runs great on a Chromebook. Good job!
Thank you for playing the game and for the lovely comment!
Nice pixel art platformer. I found the control a bit difficult but sure a fun game to play
Thank you for playing the game and for the nice comment! I'm glad to hear you had fun with the game, we'll try to test out the controller more for the next game we make!
Fun little platformer. I dig the pixel graphics and the sound fx. I like how the gun shoots letters. Nice work!
Thanks! It was my first time doing sound effects, and I’m so glad to hear you like them :D
Nice entry! I really liked the gun shooting letters to fix the bugs! Very cool buggy effects!
Congrats
Thank you so much!
Really nice game!
You can see a lot of attention to small details as you play (phrases shot by the gun, buggy background, etc.)
I found it hard sometimes when you have to “guess” where to go (for example seeing a computer to debug beneath you but not knowing exactly where you can land without dying).
Great job, I had fun!
Thank you for the kind feedback!
We’ll keep in mind next time that we need to leave some breadcrumbs to show where we want you to go.
Thanks for playing!
Pretty cool, nice graphics! Good job :)
Thank you so much!
i like the fact that you shoot sentences - but... where is my boss? :O
Glad you liked the gun! It was something we really enjoyed as part of the game plan, we had a few more ideas I hope we can bring with us for another game! Good job on finishing the game! I am pretty sure the boss is hiding at a hidden layer in my graphics program, mostly looking like a big pink blob. But shhh, don't tell anyone. ;D
I feel so bad that I ran out of time to code the boss!
Thanks for playing!
The graphics are very pretty!
Thank you so much! Glad you liked them!
It's a great game. The pixel art is very pretty. However the physics of the game is not very smooth (jump).
Thank you for trying the game! I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed the art! I'm sorry the jump didn't feel good for you, we will definitely take that with us for our next game and see if we can improve it further!
Nice one, good pixel art and audio!
I was stuck on the spikes jump in the third area.
but good concept. hope you improve it in the future.
Thanks for trying out the game! Super happy to hear that you enjoyed the art and sound! I'm sorry to hear that you got stuck in the third area! I might have made it a tiny bit too hard! Thanks for the input!
From what I can see this seems like a nice game. I like how you shoot letters. Unfortunatly my computer had some real trouble running this in my browser :( Really low fps (less than 10), trouble loading, just laggy in general. Not sure if this is just me, just letting you know!
Not rating for now cuz it seems unfair.
Hello! Thanks for trying out the game, I'm sorry to hear you are experiencing issues with running it. I haven't heard anyone mention similar problems, is it possible for you to try it in another browser and see if it works better?
I had tried 2 different browser before remembering windows comes with Edge now. And it worked perfectly on that!
For my thoughts on the game: It looks beautiful, I love the background glitch effect especially. Movement felt good if a little fast. Creative enemy type with the laser, altho I found it weird your weapon doesnt damage it (atleast, I don't think so??). Rated now.
The hits not appearing to register would be my fault! It does take damage, I just forgot to add an animation to actually, you know, show it.
Definitely won’t be forgetting that next time
This was a fun platformer! I enjoyed shooting random letters and symbols.
I had the same input problems using Godot, I changed the "embed options" in the game edit screen to launch in full screen instead of embed into page and that fixed it for me.
Thanks for your feedback!
I tried your suggestion and it seems to have fixed the issue, thank you so much for that
Hey there! I love the attention to detail like the code gun and the background glitching occasionally. Also, a nice twist to the theme, too bad you had no more time to work it out further. I also like the bug where you stick on the ceiling, pretty OP but didn't help me yet however :). Hope you can find some time to rate my game too.
Thanks for trying out the game! I'm glad you like the small details!
