Very satisfying to play! Good job!
That was not what i expected at all!! I got a score of 186 on my best one! Nice game!
Thanks!!!
This game is so cute. I was a little lost on my first attempt, but after I understood what I was doing, it was very enjoyable.
Glad you liked.
Very creative take on the theme! Took me a try or two to realize how you were meant to optimize each step, but on the 3rd one I got 99.98% or something. The one that was least obvious to me was that the "scale" referred to how much to press the...scale haha. But then it clicked, nice job!
Yeah that one was clearly confusing. I made the specs in order of the operations but people still did not get it in the first play. I actually had a hard time to show it as a symbol too so that also bleeds over. I am still glad I could make people get rest of the game more clearly.
So the first time, I did absolutely everything wrong (except the hammer). But for the second time, I did a perfect thing :D I think I needed one try to be sure what to do haha
It seems to work well, so that's a good point :) Congrats!
Thanks! Hope you enjoyed it!
Yes it was fun :D
Really cute game and an interesting take on a crafting game. It was fun to craft the scales in the workshop. Well done!
I would have liked to see the combat elements integrated within the core gameplay loop rather than an extra part at the end, as I liked the look and feel of this section :)
It is integrated but we don't have an UI that shows it to you. That part needs at least 2 more weeks to finish. Basically the better you craft the better those pangolins fight.
We could have even make them walk and get ready in the same scene too. Sadly we did not work hard enough to finish it but very happy we submitted in time.
What!? Story telling?! I wasn't expecting that!
Like the game overall, I think it's a cute little precision skill base game.
Only had a couple of time where the page changed by itself before I could but the required amount of Spikes, but other then that it seems like the different mechanics work well.
But yeah, fun little experience!
Thank you for your feedback! I'm thrilled to hear that the storytelling element positively surprised you. ^^
The mechanics are developed pretty well. It is a mixmatch of ideas but I can see it being fun. Didn't really understand the scale parameter and all though I like most of the art the first cutscene ruined it. Why mix of AI art and AI voice is the first thing the player sees ? Other then that its pretty nice.
As first cutscene you mean the handless pangolin babies right not the "Stolen Space"? The jam allowed and even encouraged AI usage so we used AI but I know and understand why people don't like AI usage.
If you mean the babies we just rolled with it pretending pangolin babies don't have hands :)
Btw you should play Gilgamish game (Mythic Battles: Judgement of the Gods) , It has the best voice over I have seen so far in the jam
Well the AI style does not match the rest of the art style in game. Thats the biggest reason why I don't like it in your game. AI is a good helper but bad master
Thank you for your feedback. I appreciate your observations. Unfortunately, due to time constraints and a lack of a 2D artist, achieving a perfect balance in the art style proved challenging. I've done my best to manage the style, but it seems my efforts fell short this time.
Despite these challenges, I'm glad you found the mechanics well-developed and see the potential for fun in the mix of ideas. I'll strive to address these concerns and enhance the overall experience in future works. Thank you for your understanding :)
Well, there is something here, but a very rough idea, if only the battle part had been finished in time the game would have been more fun, but do keep working on it if you have time after the jam, there's definitely something to work with here at least as a concept!
Hey just tried it. Some feedback:
- I personally understood what to do quickly I think but looking at some of the other feedback I think it's probably a bit confusing?
- Was all of the crafting stuff finished? Like the press thing seemed quite easy to not get wrong
- Equally the spikes seemed quite easy too, I think the logo (water drop?) for them was odd as well and the model looked a bit like a bullet casing... that was a bit confusing to me.
- Only 1 Pangolin I managed to get to 100% perfection but it was enough to win the battle by some margin :)
Otherwise it all makes sense now. I got very confused seeing your game in the discord with the crafting stuff and then separately the battle stuff over the last few days. But I do think this is an innovative take compared to some other stuff I've seen so well done!
We wanted an easy game play especially at the start, if there was more levels with a solid progression we would make the game harder for sure. Yeah 3d models and 2d art did not match but could not find a good replacement in time.
Thank you for your feedback.
I liked audio design and most of the art. The pangolins are cute and the equipment looks sturdy.
The game is interesting but it felt a little bit random: I didn't really understand what I was supposed to do. It made more sense after I got to the second phase of the game, but then you can't really 'play' anymore.
Overall, it's an interesting concept, but I wish it had better in-game instructions. Great job!
The game loop was normally you go back to workshop part and use the things but we could not finish in time and implement a working economy. In the current version if you win you can go back to shop and keep playing for a high score but that was just a last minute attempt to make this game loop so not clear to player at all.

What the fuck
that's all
Loved the crafting game, then got shocked when I saw the second game after!
I hope it was a good shock. We actually failed to finish second part as we liked.
I was confused and all my pangolins died but then I tried again and won. Its fun to craft things and see them used in combat.
Hope you enjoyed it!
Nice game! I liked it
Thanks!!
Wow, this game was crazy. I feel like I was on a weird trip, first I was crafting things then there was a whole other game after that. The visuals and polish is really good, great job to your team
Thank you, we had a lot in mind but could not finish in 1 month.
