Slick and enjoyable platformer with innovative mechanics! Didn't manage every ending, but still had fun.

Excellent submission! The platforming feels good, the art style is cute and consistent throughout and the secrets are fun to find. Feels polished too. I didn’t find all the endings but I got a good handful. Great job!

Impressive and clever game! I played through all 12 endings, including the hidden one. The game’s art style was minimalist yet highly readable, and it was visually enjoyable. Exploring various locations on the map and discovering secrets was a lot of fun. Unlocking shortcuts after clearing certain endings was helpful for the gameplay. It would have been nice if there was a quicker way to game over or reset to the starting point, because I have to jump multiple times to trigger game over at bottom of red map.

Great work! Here are some thoughts I had while playing your game:

  • The music is great and atmospheric, just a tad bit loud. Possibly being able to control the volume would be great!
  • I love the minimalistic art style and how the background of the game matches and fits in with the background of your itch page. It's a small detail but it looks as if your playing the game in the page itself and it's fantastic.
  • Very detailed and polished UI element and screen transitions. I think the effects you made for when the character ends the level are perfect.

Overall your game is very detailed and extremely polished. While it is simple, the simplicity is done perfect and I can see you put a lot of work into it! Well done.

The platforming was perfect; just difficult enough to keep you busy but not that you get frustrated. The level design guided the player quite well towards new solutions; I got stuck two times, but mr ghost is quite helpful.

This was a nice one. I spent several minutes slamming the character into random obstacles until I found the secret areas lol. Good job!

You rocked this game! My favorite so far. I found the game concept to be very clever and it was a lot of fun figuring out the challenges. Excellent work.

I loved this game, great job.  Perfect mechanics for the theme, and fun play against expectations.  The torch cross over was a nice touch too.

You win the gamejam! The audio was superb, the song in the green area had me bopping my head the whole time. The theme interpretation was very good, the gameplay was clever, and I just felt the whole thing was so smart. When I came back up and used the candle to light the bonfire was an amazing moment. Thanks so much for making this! Loved loved loved!

Very clever little game! Nice use of the limited color palette and keeping things simple. The hints were very welcome, so thanks for adding those (finding the last ending took me a while but the hint helped). My only critiques would be a) sometimes trying to platform onto single blocks can feel bad due to the low-friction feeling when trying to reverse directions (especially in the cave), and b) while it was really neat to have the music vary between the different states/areas of the game, it could be nice to play around with some melodic variations as well so the main melody doesn't become stale. Overall super solid entry. Excellent work!

I loved the idea and the clear feedback when you found a secret. Loved the graphics, the jump is a little bit weird sometimes

Great use of the theme. The graphics are simplistic but coherent and visually appealing. The SFX are nice and the music is real good.

Nice submission.

I enjoyed playing your game a lot. Managed to find all 12 endings (with some generous help from the hint giver you provided). I think I also found the secret ending too.

I really liked how you made subtle variations on the same Music track for each area. Transitions between areas were really well done in general. As was the art style, particularly the underground area with its mood lighting.

Only improvement I can think of is maybe adding a reset button. Sometimes I would explore parts of the Underground and get stuck, forcing me to complete a load of jumps just to reset the game.

Very polished and well made game. Congratulations!

This is the perfect example of a jam game. Simple mechanics with perfect level design. Artistically simple but with well-executed pixel art. Beautiful work! Bravissimi!

This is a very good game. To anyone who have not played it yet, please try to spend a minimum of time in it to fully appreciate it.

This game is very well executed despite appearing like the banal plat-former in the very beginning.

The level design is smart and I really loved the small little details. Like for example, the work done on the audio where the music subtly changes between levels. This just reminds me of Banjo-Kazzooie where the music blended into different version as you go  underwater or enter into specific sections.

The hints are smart as well, they don't give you the answer straight away, they just invite you to look where you should so that's just the right thing to prevent you looking forever at a place that's not revelant.

I can't say more on the theme than that you just nailed it!

Thanks for making this, I had a lot of fun playing it :)
