Game description
Grab, throw enemies into walls, and slap enemies to damage and kill them and get past each stage until you reach the kitchen's end
Theme interpretation
After each level you need to collect a secret ingredient, and you need to collect each ingredient to make something delicious

So, the presentation is neat, sound and music are nice.
But the gameplay itself is confusing, though - I must be missing something.
1) Right click to join does not work - game starts by itself.
2) After I "kill" all them fruits and veggies - game goes back to lobby, and when it launches again - it's just the same level.
3) Sometimes, level ends for no reason.
ohhhhhhh, I didn't even catch the right click to join for some reason. my brain was probably on something at the end of that jam... idk, but I'm surprised I hadn't still caught it until reading your comment though lol
for 2, the game just goes back to lobby without a win screen or anything because I didn't have a lot of time left when making the levels, and it might go back to level 1 right away because the hand is already over the play story area
I don't think I've experienced 3 though

I should get people to playtest next time towards the end of development and give myself some more cushion space towards the end as well
Relatable, I've been telling myself same thing for the last few jams)
I played this game and I was transported back to 2008, in my living room playing Wii Play with my brother and sister as we fight over our two remotes.

Super cute and surprisingly tricky to play The impacts felt good. I felt by the end I was a little over-reliant on shockwave as the pineapples could swing out a little fast for me. Also maybe throwing could do more incidental damage. I'm pretty bad at this type of game so I can't say. But this is a great party game with a fantastic vibe and really clean audio, physics, and some great jazz.
Cute and fun! Almost reminds me of the Mario Paint fly swatter mini game. Great job
Cool concept! I didn’t get to the tutorial at first, so it took me a while to understand the game mechanics.

Cool game, felt really clean to play. The art style and general aesthetic gives the game fun The audio was clean and the sound effects of the squashing fruit was super satisfying. I had a lot of my fruit guys just ploping onto the screen and popping on their own so I don't know if that was intentional, but it felt like a bug. Overall though very impressive submission.
thank you! and yeah, that's a bug if they get damaged before entering. It could've been a lot worse though, there were a lot of bugs throughout development lol. thank you for playing the game!

A very amusing concept! The idea of incorporating different types of fruits is fantastic. The music and visuals are also delightful additions to the project. Great work!!

Loved the game mechanics concept, but I'm not pretty sure of what to do once you start the game, I guess a tutorial could be helpful. Loved the music
you should be able to bring the hand over to the food and pick them up then throw them into the walls as well as slap and shockwave them. there is a tutorial in the lobby and the controls should be in the description of the game, lemme know what was confusing if you can though, and yeah, the music stone put together is awesome!

This is extremely well done! It’s a really really hard game, but so far all the games from this game jam that I’ve played are, including my own, so that’s fine. It’s very fun and I’d love to see an expanded idea of this
thank you! I personally find the game easy, I almost made the game so it was a challenge for me, but I realized that was a really bad idea. I've seen some people beat it though. an expanded idea of this game sounds sick, probably won't do it though, but who knows, maybe I will. I'll probably do a small update with a few extra things and bug fixes though

thanks, and there should be a tutorial in the lobby down below that shows how to play, then in game, you can throw the fruit into the walls, slap them, and shockwave them around. if you cant get past the lobby though, try moving the hand into the blue circle. also if you could let me know what was confusing, that would be nice to know for future projects :)

they get damaged when they hit the wall with a high velocity. I should've made that more clear in the how to play probably, maybe I'll do an update in the game on that later, and thank you for your reply and feedback!
Having grown up with the Wii, I was quite happy to come back to that aesthetics...with a more gory spin given to it. Nice little game and quite original, thanks for making it :)

This game is HARD but addictive. Even though I couldn't make it past the first level, I still found myself having a great time. The Wii aesthetic is perfect as well. Overall a fantastic entry.
Nice job! I loved the hand-drawn aesthetic, and the hand-mouse pointer reminded a lot of the good old days playing the Wii. Good game juice too, the shockwave move was satisfying to use. Good entry!
