Really like the echolocation effect, I'm going to have a dig through your github to see how it was implemented. Good job!
Thank you! I'll make it easier to tinker with after the jam too.
Nice game, the echolocation effect is very well made.
I'm happy to hear that :)
This game is so well made. Visuals are stunning and the art is excellent. The music and sounds are great. And the idea works flawlessly with the level design. What an experience!
Thank you so much for the lovely words!
Such an interesting concept, i like the echolocation mechanic, visual is also great! Nice job!
I'm happy you liked it! Good job on your game as well :)
Top tier game. Added to my collection from this jam, so I can finish it and think back on it.
Will be surprised if it isn't a top 10 finish.
Thanks for the kind words! I'm curious to see the rankings, but I'm pretty happy with the positive feedback I got already :D
So creative! I really loved exploring this place in both dimensions, great job!
Thank you for the lovely comment! I loved your art style.
Wow this is awesome. Loved the aesthetics, music, sounds and puzzles. Perfect relaxing yet eerie enviroment you created here. One of my favourites from the jam! Keep up the great work.
Thank you for the kind words. I loved your game just as much!
This was incredible! The mechanic and puzzles were simple but perfectly executed. Combined with the visual & sound design, I was immersed into a mysterious atmosphere that I wanted to stay in even after the game ended. Thank you for creating this (& your lovely comment) :)
Not as incredible as your game! I'd love to see more of what you can make :D
WOW! I love edge detection stuff! And you sure know it's strengths! I loved seeing the sonar look and ended up just staring at the pretty shader xD excellently done!
Thank you! I'm really happy to hear that.
i don't know how you've done it, but it's such an amazing idea. I enjoyed puzzles and sillhuetes(?) a lot. really well done!
I appreciate your comment. I've put a link to the code in the game description if you'd like to check it :D
Your idea is really cool btw, I'm sure the GameDevTv guys will love it :)
This is very cool! The outline effect is rad, I think I'm going to have to borrow that to play around with. Well done!
Thanks. Feel free to do so! I'm happy to share :D
I really enjoyed this Great idea
Thanks! Your game was fun too.
What a unique player experience, switching between noise and visuals was a pretty neat concept, really tricky for me sometimes. well done 🙃
Thank you! Your game was really ambitious and I'd love to see what you do with it in the future :)
What an interesting game! I liked being able to go back and forth between the different viewpoints.
I'm happy you like that! Thank you for the comment :)
wow what a nice game 🤩. Loved how you played with the theme on eyesight + hearing dimensions. The visuals + effects are top and liked the way the game is presented, the murals give it a very nice touch.
I'm intrigued by the history told from the murals, is like an ancient kingdom with entities that have either eyesight or hearing, and the ones that reign are the ones that have both senses?
A feedback I could share is that with the gamepad moving the camera doesn't feel very smooth, I switched to keyboard/mouse and the feeling was good. Apart from that, the rest is well made🙌
Thank you for the lovely comment and the feedback! I'm aware of the laggy camera movement when using the gamepad. It's one of the top issues to fix post-jam.
I wanted the story in the murals to be vague, but you're understanding of the plot I had in mind is spot on so far!
I feel sick from these types of games and I didn’t know what to do on the second level after getting out of the tunnel so I quit the game
I liked the idea tho, sight or sound, it’s cool but I think some people might not be able to complete it due to it’s dizzying nature
I won’t rate the game since I couldn’t complete it, sorry
Oh don't worry about it! I should've put a warning about that at the start, my apologies!!
This was awesome! I really loved the line shader, I will have to use that for my future projects! I loved the interpretation of the two dimensions being eyesight and echolocation. I did notice a few issues with the sound such as when you had the two gear things nearby it just repeated the sound on loop very annoying but overall was not too bad of an experience. Good job!
Good catch on that. I hoped it wouldn't be too annoying. It's surprising how hard it was to find a good sound for a turning wheel. I'll keep that in mind, thanks!
Fun game, the echolocation effect was really cool. Well done!
Very neat idea! I think I spent most of time using echolocation, it was so dark.
Thank you for the comment! While the dark helped build some atmosphere and allowed me not to worry too much about the textures, I agree that there should be more balance between eyesight and echolocation. Something to consider for a future version :D
I really enjoyed the aesthetics,
for some reason in the web browser version if I pressed ctrl it would crash occasionally. Also I think the mouse not being locked into the viewport was causing my turning to get out of sync. I am guessing it would much better with a controller.Ok I see in the description that the executable has nicer controls.I'm glad you figured it out. Still, it shouldn't crash on you, what can happen is if you hold ctrl and move forward, you'll be pressing ctrl+w which is a shortcut that closes the browser tab. I didn't make it clear, but crouching is a toggle, meaning you only press ctrl once, not hold it.
That explains why everything closed.
As a dark theme person I actually liked how dark it was personally.
