How does your game meet GBJam's theme?
You are stranded on a dark space station, with a space monster trying to find and eat you. Spooky! :]

Wonderfully crafted atmosphere! Hearing the monster nearby kept me at the edge of my seat. Good stuff!
Played your game on stream here's a link to the vod

Thank you so much for doing this! It points so clearly (and painfully ^^”) where I need to put efforts next, it’s extremely invaluable! Thanks again!
The story, environment and and sfx make your blood run cold. I am all about mazes, but when your eyesight is so limited is difficult. Combine it with riddles and it becomes very difficult. I had all those batteries and button is sight, but could not find the path to them. On top, add a human eating space monster... Yeah. Cool nevertheless, pun intended :-D
Super cool game. Great atmosphere and very tricky to solve. I wish there is a way to hide from the monster. The puzzle is hard enough to figure our where to place the battery next…. but well done!
Hey, thanks a lot for playing the game!
Yeah, there were some hiding places planned but of course game jam means limited time means scope reduction. :} Maybe after the jam I’ll add some polish and missing features.
To make the game a tiny bit easier, did you try pressing start (enter) to show the path the monster was following? Not an extremely stable feature since it was added late as debug mode, but it can help reaching to the exit.
The whole scenery of the game is really on point. I also like the game over jumpscare a lot! The puzzles look pretty cool but were a bit tough to understasnd and use.
Hello, thanks a lot for playing the game!
Did you find the game over that jump-scary? I tried to tone it down, since coming face to face with the monster when turning a corner is already quite distressing. :D
The puzzles are not that complicated (push buttons and put batteries on plates to open/close doors, get the 4 batteries to open the final door), but doing them in the dark while not knowing the layout makes them way more difficult than I intended, sorry for that.
I like how you approached the jumpscare. It feels like the monster is hidden by the darkness, the shape is barely understandable, and all this comes from the jumpscare which has the monster drawn with scribbles. Also making the monster come from the top with its mouth at the bottom really disoriented me. This makes my imagination go crazy, trying to understand what I see. As a conclusion, this is really spooky, because I try to understand something vaguely explained.
A mini map I think could help... Not 100% sure if that's the best solution though.
terrifying, but almost inplayable, i took the battery and everithing went dark, even the spot where the battery goes, also the creature is way too fast, the dittering was cool but it took me away from the gameboy feeling
Tip: You have access to a flashlight with select/Tab. :)
thst tip, in game.... amazin
I wasn't too sure what I was doing, but I had a good walk about in the dark till something got me!! The graphics and dithered lighting effects were top class! It was a very spooky setting, for sure!
Lovely! As others have written, the lightning makes it so atmospheric, the dithering shadows. Splendid work.
He got me, great animation, I felt lost in those rooms! Good job!
The Dynamic Lighting is awesome :D
Dynamic lighting looks great! I love the dithering.
I had a hard time identifying the difference between a dark room and a wall. I spent a lot of time bouncing off boundaries I couldn't see.
Yeah, I see what you mean, the lights do need a bit more work. But you can use your flashlight with tab/select, which should help.
The monster found me, I didn't even know there was one, now I need a new pair of underwear. 5/5 on theme
Great work! I really like the mood. The render is great, but a bit too elaborate to feel like a GameBoy game.
That dithering makes me want to play it on Playdate, even if it's obviously not the purpose of the GB Jam :p
Controls do not seem to work :/
What do you mean?
If you are using an AZERTY keyboard, replace Q and W by A and Z respectively, the other keys should stay the same.
It should work with a gamepad too, but I did not test it.
