How does your game fit the theme?
Controls are loose, giving the player a feeling that they are "Out of Control". There is also an obstacle that reduces the player's control over their movements.

Really cool gimmick, definitely reminds me of the flash games mentioned in the description. I feel it took a little too long to start using the camera for puzzles but it was really cool playing around with the mechanics past that point.

awesome game!

Stopped reading as soon as I figured out how to rotate. Fun stuff!

Good job

Nice job. Needs a few quality of life things. Like arrows on the direction to move forward. Because the camera gets reset after death it confuses my frame of mind on it. Also the camera rotating almost seems pointless except to read the text.

I really liked playing extreme curling, I mean Thyme. I played it all the way through and enjoyed the whole thing.

A few notes:

  • As stated by others, the rotation mechanic is introduced too early. I'd introduce it once it's relevant. It took me a second to realize that I needed to rotate because I had already forgotten about it by the first time I encountered a puzzle that needed it.
  • I liked the slow release of mechanics, though to fit the theme, you might have wanted to introduce the blue squares first, as that's really where the "no control" aspect comes in.
  • There's no sense of urgency. While I don't suggest you add a timer, I think that hinting to players that there might be a timer would be enough.  As it is, the game makes me want to do things slowly and there's really no reason to press forward, which I think actually makes the game less fun. Just a few comments like "Hurry up, you need to get out before time runs out," might add this. I don't think you need a timer, just the idea that there might be one, to get players to move faster.

Thank you for letting me play your game. Again; I really enjoyed this one.

Really liked this one, rotation mechanic was neat

I was sooo concerned when I got past a section and almost missed a checkpoint! Def a patient mans game!

This is an interesting mechanic I haven't seen someone do yet - but I would give it a bit more relevance in the beginning, as there isn't really any reason to use it early on - I see that it's used later more, but I would implement it in some fashion in the beginning.

I like the movement system but i don't feel like the rotating adds much to the game, maybe you could include gravity somehow

Tricky! Gotta stay patient grrr

Nice game, kind of like playing a sentient air-hockey puck. I finished it, it had a good difficulty curve, although I found that the colliders in the turquoise checker section were quite unforgiving! Nice one.

A really nice throwback. The ability to rotate the camera was a nice touch.

Took me back to the wasting hours on flash games days XD

Had a lot of fun with this game.

Very fun game, but it's not really "out of control", the controls may be slippery, but it's still in control

Submitted

Nice, reminds my of misspent youth playing the impossible game.

I really enjoyed playing this game, it was really relaxing but still not so easy that there wasn't a challenge. The control system was really unique and took a while to get used to, but the pleasant music made it enjoyable to keep trying!

Reminded me a lot of the flash games I spent way too much time playing in the past! Difficult but rewarding and definitely hit the theme. Awesome job :)

Cool Idea and Fun Gameplay. I will say I did not find a reason to rotate the camera except for reading.

The camera rotation is fairly relevant to the second half of the game. if you haven't played through the whole thing I suggest it! it was pretty fun

I had stopped right before that part. Thanks for letting me know. I went back and replayed. I now see the use of the camera xD really cool.
