A very good strategy game. I liked the concept and had much fun playing your game. Maybe you give the player too much options, because it's a bit overwhelming at first. Anyway I loved the graphics and music and enjoyed your entry very much.

This is so ambitious for a jam but boy it delivers. Clean and refreshing take on tower defense. I could sink a lot of time into it... great work!

OH wow! this have lots of potential! It really brings me back to those RTS style game. The gameplay is easy to understand yet complex enough to remain fun for a long while. Though, I wish there's some way of knowing their stats, like how much dmg/attk spd/current health, etc. cause it can be hard to keep track when things get chaotic. Also would be good to have like resting time to manage the all the nodes or rebuild certain ones. The aesthetic is simple yet nice and fitting, kinda reminds me of virtual world with computer viruses attacking hahaha. Music wise, I feel could add a bit for tension to it, it's pretty chill atm to match the intensity later into the game. But, yeah overall the game seems very polish for the jam and I really enjoy playing it, could probably even make it into a mobile game!

Oh a suggestion, if you want an end goal, you a could add something like an enemy "Nexus" node (maybe a few) on the corner of the map that you need to destroy to win the game?  Narrative wise, could say it's the power source of the enemy (but enemies still comes in all direction.

ps. thanks for playing my game on stream! ^_^

A  classic take on the free-form tower defence genre! Nice work!

wow, that one can def go to a full release, I loved this game. It fits pretty well with the theme and works pretty nicely. I think some things that could improve it might be some ui indicating if I can buy an item or not, since I had to look at the price and at the money I had everytime. Some type of score so I know I'm progressing. And maybe waves? I don't know, but it's too stressful the fact that it never stops. Congrats on the game!

This game has SO many BUGS!

They ate my nexus.

It's very polished and feels quite complete. The number of different node types is almost absurd for a 48h game jam.

Different node colors for power, printer and repair may help keep your head up when the network grows messy — if you can keep those pesky insects away long enough for it to matter!

Some scoring system would also be nice; interesting criteria may be total time, largest number of nodes, highest power supply/consumption.

Very fun game! I think the connection mechanic can be more clear though.

Want to see where you take this as it is very interesting idea. Looks great and extremely polished and was into the semi-haunting space music and the tempo changes. Very Solid jam game as a base for more

Developer

...there were no tempo changes? :)

Pretty cool game. I liked the simple graphics and iconography. The game could have used a little more of a tutorial. I can see someone not knowing what to do and not having the patience to click around and figure it out. I also wasn't sure if my stuff was taking damage until it all died at once and very quickly.

I could see this being a pretty clever little experience with a tiny more polish and onboarding process. Well done!

Great job! The mechanics are well designed and everything looks good. The only thing I wish it had was a score system based on the number of enemies defeated or how long you lasted.

I. am. in. love. with. your. game!!

I love the Tower Defense genre and this game feels amazing to play! It feels very polished and the artstyle/gameplay is really simple but intuitive.

If I had to pick something I didn't quite like, it'd probably be that this game doesn't really match the theme, and the music is a bit repetitive.

Overall, great job! I had a lot of fun playing this one!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! The music was made in 2 hours, so naturally it'll be quite repetitive :p

I immediately started playing without reading how to play, as one does. Then I was stuck in the game with no idea what to do ;p

Super impressive how much functionality you got in there, and the game is fun to play & strategize

Very nice and polished strategy game.

This is a very nice concept, interesting gameplay and you can clearly see the jam. Mobile ready mechanics. I take it that the time constraint prevented more in depth use for the "linking", but other than that really polished and pleasing. Well done !

A pretty solid gameplay loop that definitely fits the theme of the jam! Definitely has the potential to get me addicted. Not really sure what the point of adding additional links are, aside from aesthetic reasons (which is definitely good enough reason for me). All in all, a fun, extremely polished game entry!

Very good, I like it I don't really understand how the connecting thing works tho? does it generate more money?

Developer

As of right now the only node that explicitly uses connections (other than for power-related reasons) is the repair node. I did have plans to have nodes that buffed or affected neighbouring nodes as well, but they didn't make it into the current build.

Niice I'm a starcraft nerd so I love games like this. Health bars would be a necessity though!
