Hidden gem! I really enjoyed it awesome work! Congrats! Fav++

Developer

Awwwww, thank you a lot!

The art style is lovely and loved to see the smokes of the destruction I caused after beating the level. Really satisfying. Gameplay was quite simple but it was fine and sometimes challenging. Although since the thermometer UI was continous, it was harder to learn how much health does each plant give you so sometimes it felt more like trial-and-error rather than clever routing. Overall I liked it, nice work!

Developer

Thanks! Definitely the system should be more transparent when it comes to planning your route, we're going to work on it after the jam!

I love the idea as a fellow Pyro. It is a bit hard to see when you get farther back in a level (like in Level 3) since your camera is stagnate.  Having the ability to move the camera around the map would help a lot with that. Great work!

Developer

That's true there are a couple issues with camera that we didn't fully consider when making the game. We definitely think about improving it after the jam though. Thank you for your suggestion and feedback! :)

Nice game. I really really love the graphics. It's nice to see some good looking non pixel game in game jam.

Developer(+1)

Thank you much! Ye it's definitely hard to find some 3d games on the jam, and we are happy to be one of them, especially cause people enjoy the style :)

Submitted(+3)

This game looks and sounds very cute... for a game where you burn down forests and houses, damn! Join your friends I mean

Great work on puzzles as well! I'd love to see the moral side of the game explored, haha

Developer(+1)

We were actually kind of afraid that game may turn out too arsony :D But in the end it came out quite cute and that definitely makes it easier to not think about it. Thank you very much for your feedback!

Submitted(+3)

Such a charming visual style! Every different biome looked gorgeous, and it was so much fun figuring out the right path to commit maximum arson! Great work!

Developer(+2)

Thank you very much! The visual style is the result of hard work of our artist, she really did a wonderful job. We are also very happy to hear the most important thing, that all our work made it fun to play! :)

Really nice looking game! The cell shading looks really nice and the colours were lovely. The puzzles were well made as well, it challenged me! The only problem I encountered was knowing how many tiles I had left to move and telling which tile I was currently on, but both are easily changed. The core of the game was great :)

Developer

Thank you very much for the kind words :) Ye, we definitely spent the most time on making the core gameplay and in the end we kind of lacked the time to polish it and properly test it, hence the issues. We will definitely try to resolve them after the jam ends though!

It's a really nice idea, nice puzzle game trying to keep the flame alive. Really good thought for the theme, nice one!

Developer

Thank you so much!

This is very beautiful. Amazing job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you!

Amazing work! Visually very nice and a fun puzzle game, would be cool to have an easier way to tell how many tiles you could move before burning out. Keep up the great work!

Developer(+1)

We'll keep that in mind, thank you!

Submitted(+2)

The graphics for this game were really great for such a short period -- not that many 3D games that look this good! I think the game would have been really cool if there was another puzzle mechanic introduced, maybe splitting flames or generating burnable material. Great work!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much! I don't really like making low-poly stuff, but it was obviously the fastest to make in two days. And thanks for the ideas, we'll think about it!

Submitted(+2)

Love the art and level design, it's really well polished. Great work!

Developer

Thank you, I'm so happy to hear so many people think it looks polished, hahah.

Great little puzzle game. Looks amazing for a 48-hour jam; the art style is phenomenal. With a few more levels, it could easily be a steam or mobile game.

Developer

Thank you, I'm so glad you like the style! I couldn't stand it by the end of the jam, hahah.

Destruction! Yay! I really enjoyed the vibe and feel of playing this game and I really enjoy the artwork! Excellent job!

Developer

Thanks! Ye we also think that vibe and feel of this game is pretty lit. About the artwork, I massively agree, and I am sure our artist will be happy to hear that :)

Developer

Thank you so much!

For an 'unfinished' game I think it's remarkably good! Played it to the end, once I figured out I wasn't the giant fire, but the tiny one. I was thinking there might be a way to make the cost of moving to a tile clearer, but then I realised I was quite enjoying the trial and error process of learning by experimentation.

I'd have appreciated being able to move the camera. Would have better shown off your 3D work, and would have also been useful when the ember is way off in the distance.

Anyway, thumbs up from me!

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot! We are glad you enjoyed it. Your two main gripes with the game are something we really wanted to introduce but sadly, the time limit happened. It is something we will definitely improve, and we already have some ideas for it  :)

Developer(+1)

I told them people would think theyre the bigger fire!

Submitted(+3)

Nice game! The graphics and everything were spot on and the gameplay was fun to work out solutions. I can see a lot of cool places to continue this game, like fuses relocating the player or a "spark" ability kinda like a jump. Great work on this!

Developer(+1)

Thank you very much for the feedback! The suggestions are pretty interesting and we will think about it, as of now we were mostly thinking about introducing more elements like wind and interactions between those elements and fire, but as you said there are many cool possibilities for development :)

Submitted(+3)

Yo this was lit (pun intended), great graphics clever gameplay, creative take. I really thoroughly enjoyed this project. I feel like there's definitely space to take this to another level, but for a jam this really nailed it. I do feel like the positioning of the end goal was sometimes a bit hard to spot and I did freeze the game after I beat it (I was curious what clicking "Next" would do, if that's the reason). It also took me embarrassingly long to realize the cactus were negating my fire (cacti have lots-o-water inside, duh). However, this is maybe my favorite I've checked-out thus far. Great work!

Developer(+1)

We are incredibly happy to hear your opinion! We do agree that this game needs some polishing and we intend to develop it after the jam. We'd like to thank you because that kind of opinion keeps us rollin!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! We've run out of time and didn't manage to fix the widget appearing at the end of the last level. The same thing with not explaining the cacti, hahah. We'll happily fix that after the jam ends.

Submitted(+3)

Nice game, gorgeous art style.

Developer(+2)

Thanks! (I'm definitely screenshoting this for our artist)

Developer

He he

Developer(+1)

Aww, thank you!

Submitted(+4)

I really enjoyed this game, it's a sleek & cute puzzler with a solid simplistic style that really helps pass it off as a full game in the jam!

One thing I had trouble with was the perspective, at times I accidentally misjudged my placement and would miss a really important move that would cost me the round. Thankfully this game moves quick enough for that not to become a huge annoyance, but just something for if/when you work on this post-jam!

Had a blazing good time, superb job!!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! We're aware of this issue and we'd be happy to fix it after the jam.

Submitted(+4)

Took me a while to download with my bad internet, but was worth it!

Looks pretty, plays smoothly, very polished game design and clever ideas.

You could easily build upon it after the jam.

Well done!

Developer

Ye, the size of games made with ue4 can be quite big even for the simpler ones :d And thanks for your opinion! We really appreciate it and are happy to hear you liked it. Also we definitely consider building upon it, as it is a nice basis.
