Ranked from 70 ratings. Score is adjusted from raw score by the median number of ratings per game in the jam.

How does your game fit the theme?
Lorenzo (the goblin) joins together with his precious shiny objects, but with one catch: he gets heavier. Each coin drastically decreases his movement speed and increases his gravity, so the player has to strategically join together with the coins at certain parts.

why on earth are the ATMs not connected??

Developer(+1)

Yeah, we were pretty bummed that we couldn't get the connection mechanic working in time for the release of the game, but that is something we will strive to work toward after the jam is done. Sorry :(.

Man, those are heavy coins!
Great concept, and I loved the puzzles =)

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Also, I saw your entry on Vimlarks stream, and looks like a blast, so I gotta check it out soon. Thanks for playing!

Submitted(+1)

Good entry! This could easily be expanded into a full game.

Developer

Thanks for playtesting! And our thought for the future of this game is that we want to expand it into a full game, but we have to fine-tune it a decent amount.

Submitted(+1)

The art direction for this game was really fitting! Nice entry!

Developer

Thanks for the kind words! We thought it would be fun to try to mix the serious tone of a castle with silly objects like the goblin and the ATM, and it seemed to turn out great. Thanks for playing!

Cool game! I really liked the art and music. The idea was cool, but I started getting frustrated when I had to go back and forth from the atms over and over, and then would die halfway through and have to restart. Maybe checkpoints would help fix that?

Developer

Interesting thought! We had thought about maybe making the ATM's checkpoints but decided against it since each room was relatively small and should be fairly easy to get through. Now looking back at comments, it probably would've made the game a bit better if we had, so thanks for the suggestion! Thanks for playing!

nice game.

Developer

Thank.

Very original idea! The controls didn't feel that great which is important for a platformer, but the levels were well designed and there's a lot to appreciate in the concept!

Developer

Agreed! My team and I are relatively new to programming (this is our first game ever made, let alone game jam), so we expected there to be lots of issues with the programming due to our lack of knowledge. Good thing the art and level design made up for it! Thanks for playing!

Really brilliant mechanic. Trying to be as greedy as possible while also retaining as much maneuverability as possible is such a great trade off, it really makes the gameplay super interesting.
Also, I really enjoyed the art style. I think it really matched the gameplay in a cohesive way.

Overall, a really great entry. Awesome work!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the kind words! We really liked that aspect of when and when not to be greedy and thought that it was a very cool mechanic to implement. Thanks for playing!

Submitted(+1)

Really enjoyed this! Prologue gave me a good laugh. Try as I might, I could not jump a saw blade with 4 coins :P Great Job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback! We thought it would be necessary to add a bit of comedy to the game to spice it up some more, and it looks like it paid off.

Was a little unclear what to do at first but after that it was good, Well made game across the board

Developer

Thanks for your kind words! I do agree that we should have made the instructions clearer to begin with. Thanks for trying the game out!

Submitted(+1)

A nice catch to the weighting system. Also it would be better to implement the introduction/tutorial in-game though, because people are easy to forget what they read outside haha. Great game!

Developer

Totally agree! The original plan was to have an introduction to the deposit/withdrawal mechanic at the beginning of the game, but due to some time constraints and some bugs, we weren't able to implement it sadly. Thanks for playtesting!

Submitted(+1)

At first I was confused cause I couldn't get my coins back from the atms, but after reading the descriptions I was able to play it normally, the controls feel great!

Awesome game! Really like the approach to theme, getting all 4 coins to the end of the level was quite challanging and fun! Cute art and sound design.

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thanks for the feedback! Looking back at it now, we most likely should have put the instructions inside the game as well as on our page, but mistakes happen ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Thanks for playtesting!

Interesting and fun puzzle platformer, nice work!

Developer

Thanks for the kind words and for your play testing!

cute goblin.

was stuck on level four way longer then I should have. (too impatient lol)

good job!

Developer

Thanks for trying it out! I do agree about level 4, it's probably the only level I would alter.

Not only a good combination of solving puzzles and excetung them in a fun way, but also a clever concept and probably the first game ever to combine ATM machines and a goblin. Full marks accross the board. Only thing I would like to see changed is making visible, how many coins are in each ATM at any given moment.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the kind words! Our team thought it might be fun to combine two random things (like an ATM with a goblin) and see how it went. And yeah, making a visible coin count was on the list, but we ran out of time. Thanks for playing!

Cool entry! a really interesting take on the theme. while I read the tutorial in the desc, it would have been nice to have atm controls pop up when I was near them to have a better understanding of the controls. But thats a minor polish element. Overall great work!

Developer

Good idea! I never considered showing the controls, but now that you mention it, that seems like it could help a lot. Thanks for playing!

I really love the concept of a platformer where picking stuff up weighs you down!  The presentation is nice as well.  I think making the ATMs act as checkpoints would be a nice "easy mode" option to lessen the frustration.  A count of coins in each ATM would be helpful as well.  Great work, hope you had fun making it!

Developer

I agree! We thought about adding the ATM tracking the coin amount feature, but unfortunately, we ran out of time. Thanks for playtesting!

Submitted(+1)

The bank mechanics were very interesting and the game is fun. Liked it.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the support! I'll make sure to check out your submission!

Submitted(+1)

The concept is cool, but I have the feeling that there is an issue with inputs at some point, like spamming the deposit or withdrawal button at the ATM doesn't necessarily allow you to deposit or withdraw coins very fast...

Developer(+1)

Completely agree! We constantly had issues with the consistency of the ATM and were not able to get it completely working unfortunately. Thank you for your feedback!

This is an interesting mechanic. I enjoyed trying to work through the levels and the challenge of how many coins to carry is very interesting. I did get a bit frustrated about the jump sometimes feeling off, it was hard to know how high I would jump each time I gained or lost coins but a great idea for sure. Well done.

Developer

Noted! We'll make sure to improve this feature in later updates of the game. Thanks for giving it a try!
