This becomes reaaally mind bending when the controls get twisted, I couldn't keep up :( very good job though!

Really good for your first game Jam. It definitely took me some time in some levels :D
Pretty difficult game. But all the puzzles are possible. Just takes probably a couple tries to figure it out.
Nice puzzle game! Having the changing control inputs definitely distinguished this entry from other similar puzzle games in the jam; the ones I've seen so far simply copy / mirror controls between two or more entities. I found the physics of the characters a little wonky - it felt like the characters would sometimes lose forward momentum mid-jump, but I could see how this also would enable the player to have more control in positioning the characters. The level designs that I saw seemed well thought out. Overall good work!
I like it! The random controls are interesting in theory but they lead to a lot of looking down to try to understand what is happening. I think this could be really great with clearer UI + more focused level design
I think the UI might be nicer to read if it was a little less text heavy? I think having icons for each action instead of text might help locate stuff a little quicker
Oh, I do like the levels, really. It's just that sometimes it feels like you're performing a bunch of tasks that don't really connect to each other that well, like jumping over a pool of acid at the start of player 2's route only for it not to come into play into the rest of the level. Like, they're nice and they serve their purpose well, but I think they could be better if they focused on more specific conflicts instead of just sort of a broad get from point A to B? Sorry for not being very specific :p puzzle design is hard but I really feel like this mechanic has the potential for really clever levels
Yea, I thought it was a little text heavy too. I'll look into finding icons to represent things. Probably some better colors too. The second two levels were definitely worse and multiple people have commented on that acid pool on so I'll definitely change it lol. Thanks for the feedback though, it's really helpful and insightful. I always like hearing other people's perspectives :)
Really enjoyed controlling the two characters through the puzzles, which were cleverly designed. Personally I found the mechanic of randomizing controls a bit weird in a game which would stand perfectly well on it's own as a puzzle platform game, but it certainly an unexpected challenge! Great game!
This is the best game I've played so far! :D
The idea is great and the execution even greater. The level design is clever and well done. The Controls mess with my head but in a fun and creative way. The game reminds me of Fireboy and Watergirl in a good way.
Well done! ( ̄︶ ̄)↗
Awesome game design! I really enjoy your levels! Really nice animation works in such a short time. The mix match control has its learning curve especially when the control are swtiched, but after a while it came smooth and handy. Somehow I stucked at level 3 since I can't use the green one the get pass the acid water. I enjoyed all the contents so far especially in level 2 when I have to get two guys into opposite side, great idea! And thanks for playing our game!
Nice work! I had fun trying out the mechanic in the tutorial levels, after that it was too hard for me :P
One thing I think that could have made this even better was just keep to a color palette for UI, it felt a bit tacked on. All in all great first jam submission, congrats!!! If you could rate our game and give us some feedback, that would be awesome. (:
Thanks for the feedback, got a little rushed on finding art assets lol. I'd be curious to hear which parts of the UI specifically didn't you like? Also, what do you think made the later levels too difficult? I'm looking to improve my game as much as possible so if anything else seemed off feel free to let me know that too :)
Ofc! I liked having the controls displayed (because I'm bad at games and forget what does what) I just wanted them to blend a slight bit more with the world. With the loud red & green they drew my attention for sure, they just drew it a bit too much. As for the difficulty, it might just be a user thing. I can't stress how bad I am at video games enough, I have difficulty keeping track of what does what & syncing it to aovid death. xD
Thanks for replying. I don't think it was you being bad. Many people have said it was difficult, so I think I need to have a few more introductory levels to help people get used to the changing controls. I'm not a UI designer so thanks for the outsider feedback. I'll try to see how I can make them blend better.
Very orginal game and well made. But to be honest, too difficult for me, maybe add some lighter levels in the future :-)
