interesting concept, done pretty well, howeveve the lazers could do with a bit more ease in and out.
Thanks! Do you mean like some sort of indication that they are about to turn on or off, like perhaps a flickering? I definitely think they need improvement. I made a post-jam version that has a click sound for when they switch, and camera shake plus a buzz sound when you touch them.
This was really fun! I loved that there was voice acting and that it was very much cue as to what was going on at the top. My eyes didn't have to keep jumping up, I just focused on the middle and counted on the audio cues to inform me who should be moving. That was great and allowed me to have a lot of fun instead of just being hopelessly overwhelmed.
I did feel like I couldn't get around raising the alert meter when the guards came up on the roof, even if I had the goon up there ready and waiting to punch them out. Not sure if that was to encourage me to go faster or if it was just a bug, but it felt a little unfair because there was nothing I could do to avoid that alert increase or to decrease it.
But I love this concept and it's one of the best implementation of controlling multiple characters that I've seen in the jam so far!
I appreciate the feedback! Well, the guard causing the alert to go up was intentional. I wanted some amount of inevitable alert raising, but the thing I didn't make very obvious was that whenever the hacker is at the computer the alert level will go down. I suppose maybe I should make some way to play well enough that you can avoid the guard's alerts.
Ah, that makes sense! I employed a strategy where the hacker was basically always at the ropes except when passing a camera because the other guy needed to punch so many guards. I saw the alert level drop a bit when grabbing the diamond (when the hacker was not at the ropes) and I thought the alert was resetting from getting the diamond, not from the hacker.
So maybe just making it clear that the hacker is lowering the alert level could solve the issue which would also have the player use a more interesting strategy than mine lol
This is super fun! The art and voice acting is great! On top of that, I really like how the game is designed overall. Great job!
Thank you so much!
Good job! I enjoyed the "joined together" aspect of the game where all the characters were working together to achieve the heist. It was interesting to see how one character had to stop what they were doing to reel the rope back. Overall this was a solid entry to the jam and I had fun playing! :)
I'm glad you appreciated it and had fun! Thanks so much!
I love the art style, and the voice lines fit it perfectly. The mechanics are really cool, and the difficulty changes dynamically when you need both of your crewmates to reel you in. The game is very intuitive to learn. There's also decisions that add to the core gameplay, such as managing the alert meter, or choosing which person should let go of the rope. The only issue I have is the levels start to get a bit repetitive after a while (I think I failed at 6, then I quit).
Thanks so much for playing and offering feedback! I'm glad you appreciated it. Yes, currently there isn't anything interesting about how levels progress other than they are all randomly generated and each is 1 modular section longer than the previous. I could have made it more interesting by introducing new elements in each, and ramping the difficulty by allowing more lasers next to each other, etc.
This really gives me a sense of nostalgia for some reason. I'm reminded of the heist games I used to play on Cool Math Games.
Really? That makes me feel good! Thanks so much for playing and commenting!
Hilarious voice acting, and despite all the silliness it feels very coherent and fun.
I especially love how the "more important heister" switches for the way back up because the hacking has already been done.
Great work!
Thanks so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Pretty fun premise! I liked the inclusion of voice acting and hand drawn characters. The mechanic was pretty fun, but I found it a little difficult to anticipate the lazers. Overall a pretty fun experience :)
I'm glad you appreciated it! Thanks for the feedback!
Voice acting, impressive! I found that while playing, I could mostly leave the hacker alone and get by with using only the cleaner to control my descent, so maybe a bit of a balance point there. I stopped after the second level when it didn't seem like new mechanics were being introduced. The animations and art were very nice as well! Great job overall!
Thanks for the feedback! Yes, on the way down, that's the way to go, but the way up it's different, and I like that sorta switch in balancing. Yeah I should have introduced more stuff and been more methodical with my levels. Right now each level uses the same mechanics but just gets longer and longer.
Thanks for playing! I'm glad you liked the animations!

An intresting take on the theme!
The game is really fun to play, although a little short. I really enjoyed the voice acting! And the art looks really cool!
Overall an amazing entry!
The first level is definitely short. It's not very noticeable but the game goes on for as many levels as you can complete. They get longer each time. The top right shows what level you are on. Thanks for playing!
This is sick! Those voice lines cracked me up did you record them for the jam? Had a blast playing this one nice work guys.
I'm so glad you appreciated that! Yep, as soon as I figured out the game idea, I recruited some friends to record lines for me. Thanks a bunch!
this game is awesome, it's funny, original and cute! Really love the mechanics, great job!
Thanks so much! I'm glad you like it!
awesome game, the difficulty shift between needing 1 pal to stop and both to come back up feels just right and makes perfect sense.
Thanks so much! I'm glad you appreciated that!
I love how the game play works, good job!
Thank you!
Really good idea and well executed. Had a lot of fun playing. Good job!
Thanks so much! I'm glad you had fun!
Took me a moment to get the hang of what the game wanted of me but after that I found it to be one of the more enjoyable games I've played so far. feels like a game id play on school computer back in the day!
I'm so glad to hear that! That is high praise! Nothing quite like gaming in gradeschool!
Super original idea, it took me a little bit of time to understand what was going on and what I had to do, and I wish there was a little more feedback on the lasers, cameras, etc, but all in all, fun game!
Thanks! I totally agree with your feedback. The camera's especially. They were very rushed and actually the last thing I implemented in the game. Thanks for rating!
I liked the mechanics, and I thought they were very original. I wish the laser system was a bit more precise, similarly with the other obstacles.
Thanks! Yes, I wish I had spent more time making the feel of the game better. Laser feedback would have been great. I wanted it to be more forgiving so the lasers impreciseness might be due to the player collider being a much smaller than the visible sprite. As long as his torso isn't touching the laser, you are fine.
Cool Concept! The difficulty feels well balanced and the mechanics are original.
Thanks so much for playing and rating, and for the comment!
