I liked the art and the puzzles!

Too bad about the resolution issues which might cause many people to give up.

It would be nice to have another indication that the circuit parts are facing the right way, because in the end it was a lot of mindless clicking to make them align correctly, but I had fun 😄

Developer(+2)

We are happy that you enjoyed the idea and the visuals. Yes, the conductors not connecting both the ways should be fixed in the next release and we are very thankful for all the comments with suggestions, feedback, and appreciations and we will respect them all by fixing the things in the next release. Thanks again for stopping for by and giving our game a chance. :)

It look's cool but the resolution is really weird in my computer. After lighting up the first lamp, there is no way for me to continue. Looking at the images, I see there is an arrow on the top corner of the screen which would probably take me to another screen, but it does not appear in my game, maybe it's offscreen because of the resolution.

Developer(+1)

We are sorry about the resolution, this is our first game ever and we never uploaded any before on Itch so we had no idea about making sure it fits well. We were also running out of time so we didn't get a chance to test it on the browser and it was already late when we found out that the game needs to be played fullscreen only and the min resolution for the screen should be 1920x1080. It will be resolved in the next release. Thank you for dropping a comment, Malvarth.

I little bit more indication if wires are actually connected would help. Some of them would light up seemingly randomly, but others wouldn’t. This idea can probably be expanded into a cool mobile game to kill time while taking the bus

Developer(+1)

Yes, we will be making this into a mobile version with many things resolved and considering the suggestions and feedback we received. Thanks for dropping a comment, MekaSasquatch. :)

Submitted(+2)

I really like the concept and will look forward to the new version.

Developer(+1)

We are happy that you liked the concept and once we get a chance we will have a major update on this game. Thank you for dropping a comment. :)

Submitted(+1)

Having to click multiples times on the same wire would probably work best on mobile, it's a bit boring on PC. It's also a shame that wires only work in one way and not the other

Developer(+2)

Thank you for playing our game and dropping a comment. The conductor shouldn't be working that way, we had no option because of the alignment issues we faced. We will have all that fixed in our next release. Thanks again, Fledered.

Submitted(+2)

A cool take on the theme, but I would've liked more visual feedback on the wires.

Developer(+1)

Thank you Sydmen for your feedback and we will surely be working on the changes as we get a chance. We are glad you liked the idea. :)

Submitted(+1)

Super polished and elegant. Well presented, intuitive and fun. Well done :D

Developer(+2)

Treemolo, we thank you for playing the game and your comment really boosted our energy. :)

Submitted(+3)

wow I fell in love with this small puzzle game. Thanks for making this . I wish there were more levels.

Developer(+1)

Thanks, Dengobey for playing the game and we are happy that you liked the puzzle. We will have more levels added in the next release. :)

Submitted(+3)

Interesting game! It was quite strange to pick up maybe, a tutorial would have been great. But anyway, good work!

Developer(+1)

Thanks, Richard for playing the game and we are happy that you found it interesting :) We will have the tutorial once we get a chance to make a change.

Submitted(+2)

I like that each bulb builds on your existing circuit rather than split into discreet levels. I'd be interested to hear what other ideas you had for mechanics and puzzle design.

Neat presentation too!

Developer(+1)

Hi Chinwizard and thank you for playing our game. In the beginning, our plan was to use the battery with a certain charge, say 3 and it can only light 3 bulbs, the more you connect will dim the bulbs. So you will have to go back to the first level and connect an extra battery from the last level, which will make everything connected in a circuit.  Now that is like one big connected level and we will have more such levels added later.  This game is going to be easy and our main goal is to help people relax with the visuals and soothing background music. Thanks again for stopping by. :)

Presentation is great! But it was a bit wierd, but if this was your first game, then congrats, keep working! As the first this is very decent, nice job!

Developer(+1)

We are happy that you found the presentation of the game pleasing. Yes, this is our first game ever for the jam and we are making a note of all the feedback and suggestions we are getting from you all. Thank you for sharing your view, LeviMakesGames.

Very interesting concept. It was so satisfing when the bulbs turned on! Only one suggestion, I think that a visual representation of where is -/+ on the moving parts, would be better than just guessing and if you are wrong turning it around. Overall a great game. I enjoyed it a lot! Good luck!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your suggestion, RawEggStudio. We are very happy to know that you found the visuals satisfying and the concept interesting. :) We will have all the suggestions and the feedback implemented in our next release. Thanks again.

This was fun! Reminded me of the puzzles in old school adventure games like Myst. Very satisfying when a light comes on.

Developer(+2)

Thank you for stopping by, Fatcatmilo. We are happy that you have enjoyed the game and found the visuals pleasing. :)

Pretty cool concept, although I have some notes:

  • Upon launching the game, it wasn’t immediately obvious what was interactable (and in what manner), and what wasn’t – I only figured out how to play by taking a closer look at the gifs on the game page
  • It seems weird that the orientation of the wire matters, a conductor doesn’t care which way electricity flows, and it should work even if you rotate the wire 180 degrees; if you want to restrict it you should mark it as a diode or something
  • The strategy seems to just be to go around clicking everything until it turns white – it’s less of a puzzle and more like manual labour
  • Even after all that clicking, the light on the last page did not turn on for me, not matter what I tried
  • On the other hand, the wiring diagram doesn’t really make sense either since the first couple lamps are connected in parallel but next two are in series with one another, so they’re driven at half the voltage. Then the last lamp is in parallel with the penultimate lamp so I don’t see why it wouldn’t turn on since it gets the same voltage as those previous two.

In order to make it more appealing, I’d make it so there are potential branching paths and you have to sort of manage how things are wired together and it isn’t just a matter of going around flicking things on systematically and you’re done.

Yay! Another in-depth review. We are glad you liked the concept. This is our first game jam ever.

  • (Upon launching the game, it wasn’t immediately obvious what was interactable (and in what manner), and what wasn’t – I only figured out how to play by taking a closer look at the gifs on the game page)
Yes, after all the feedback we thought of adding a gif so it helps people
  • (It seems weird that the orientation of the wire matters, a conductor doesn’t care which way electricity flows, and it should work even if you rotate the wire 180 degrees; if you want to restrict it you should mark it as a diode or something)
Yes, the conductors are not supposed to work that way and we had no choice but to use this way, the sprites we added had some issues with the alignment and we really had no time to fix that, so we kept the one-way fit. This will be fixed once the jam ends
  • (The strategy seems to just be to go around clicking everything until it turns white – it’s less of a puzzle and more like manual labour)
The initial approach was very complex and since we were running out of time, we had to compromise on the complexity of the puzzle. The idea was to have a certain charge left in the battery from the first level which would need a connection from the last one and so on.

We really appreciate the time you have invested into this review and we are making notes of the feedback and the suggestions we are getting from all of you to improve the game. The next update should have many things resolved and new things added. Thanks again, LurkNautili.

Interesting concept. Just, I wonder why only one side of the cricuit conduct electricity and not both (I spent some time befoore understanding that the sens was important

Developer

We are happy that you found the concept interesting. The conductor works one way, we never intended to do so but we had some issues with the sprites. Thanks again for the feedback and we will have everything fixed once we get a chance. Thanks again, Krel.

Submitted(+2)

I think it looks really cool. The concept is good.

I wasn't sure what the win condition was so I moved on to the next level. I think it should only move on when you lit up the bulb. I also didn't realise the wires are directional, I think there's probably some way to indicate that.

Congrats on submitting a game!

Developer(+1)

Thank you for dropping a comment and we are glad to know that you liked the visuals and the concept :) The reason it does not move to the next level is that every level is connected and you can move either side to fix the broken links.  We are keeping a note of all the changes we will have to make as per the feedback and the suggestions we are getting here. Thanks again and we really appreciate your feedback, Arya.

nice game.

Developer(+1)

Thanks! :)

Submitted(+2)

Cool game! Nice concept! It seemed like some of the wires only worked in one direction and I also wasn't sure what wires I could interact with and which ones i could not. But otherwise simple and satisfying!

Developer(+1)

Yes, the wires only connect in one direction. Thank you for playing the game and dropping a comment and we are glad you liked the concept. Thanks! :)

Submitted(+2)

Really cool concept ! However the execution is not as the level as the concept, but it must be hard to do it ! Hope we'll see a full polished game with this concept ! :D GG !

Developer(+1)

We are happy that you liked the concept and we will surely polish the game further and have a stable release with more levels and complexity. Thanks again for the comment! :)

Submitted(+2)

Interesting idea. I liked the idea. Some small tweaks that could help are change the cursor or highlight the wire if it's one that I can rotate. Also, it seems like direction of the wire matters, but it was hard to tell which direction was the correct one since the wire just has two ends, not arrows pointing which side is the + and which is the - (or whatever it's called, I'm not an electrician, haha).

Overall, good job for a jam game!

Developer

Thanks, EricFreeman for your helpful comment. We are noting all the suggestions we are getting from all the awesome people like you and we will have the changes made soon. Thanks again!
