I was really confused by the bug at first, but then I read the description and it made much more sense. It's really a fun little game! I enjoyed it, it reminded me a lot about the stress of docking in the large 3d space games :d A really neat interpretation of the theme, nice job!

How does your game fit the theme?
The goal of the game is keep a connection to a StarStation. Once the connection reaches 100%, the station will open and the ship can be docked.

Thanks, Tystnex! You aren't first and probably wouldn't be the last to be confused by the bugs in this game! I'm bummed I somehow missed such critical flaws!
Even so, I'm glad you were able to still give Astrodrift a shot! Elite and other such space sims were definitely an inspiration for this game! Thank you for taking the time to play and comment!
Thanks for calling out the restart bug in the description, it hit me a few times at the top and thought I was dying/doing something wrong in the gameplay at first. Unique mechanics, especially with the mouse distance -- took some getting used to, but was a really fun challenge. Great work!
Cool mechanics and fun game overall. A few bugs when you respawn but its a jam so no big deal there.
My only feedback would be to tweak the speed a bit but thats a simple fix or maybe i just need to get used to it. Personaly Im not a fan of the mouse distance controlling the thrust speed but interesting design choice you made there.
Cool game, congrats on finishing the jam.
Thanks for the feedback, RemStorms! I didn't consider adding an alternative thrust control, but I will look in to it! Multiple players have also brought up the speed of the ship at this point, and my working plan is to add in new ships with reduced speed and acceleration.
Thanks for taking the time to play and comment!
The concept is great and works well, I love how the menus are integrated in the game itself.
But yeah, the bugs really ruin everything : not only there is a permanent restart button, but it also add another layer of music, resulting in a huge cacophony.
Really fun game!
Good job in adding a tutorial. Really nice thing to do when you have time! :)
I didn't understand at first why the game was restarting but I figure it out after reading the page.
Maybe binding it to a button could improve the experience.
Nevertheless, Good job!
Fun game! The restart bug made me rage quit. Clicked it after completing lots of things.
It would be an easy fix once we can upload stuff so it's not a problem imo.
The concept was fun and original. I like the graphics and physics.
Overall this is a very good submission! Well done! :)
The game is a bit more playable if you just hold left click down and don't let go. It's not an ideal solution, but it may make the experience a bit less frustrating! I will have an updated build out after the jam if you want to check the game out then. I don't want players to be rage quitting!
Thanks for checking out the game and commenting! I'm sorry you found the game to be annoying!
Woah! A lot of thought has gone into this game. Really really interesting mechanic.
Oooh, I really like this game! I really like that the whole thing is a single set - even choosing the levels - , the graphics are really in-theme and effective, and the mechanic per se is pretty fun (even if quite difficult!)
As others have said, the costant slow restart is quite annoying, but I'm sure it can be fixed in a future update. Good work! :D
I have fixed the slow restart, and I have also given the player quite a few more lives in the updated version. I didn't really think too much about how annoying it might be for players to have only one life at the start! That's on me! But this is the great part about feedback! I can now correct my mistakes and create an even better experience!
Thank you for checking out my game and pointing out areas where I can improve it! It really means a lot!
Neat game, the physics are certainly fun to play around with. Nice job!
this game would be really good for teaching someone about centripetal force LOL
i liked that it was just kind of an open world, although sometimes the antenna would pick up a nearby course's docking station which confused me the first time 'round. similar to what Surfdaweb mentioned, i think a cap on the speed might be good just because i wanted to go REALLY fast but you can't see far enough to let you do that without smashing yourself into something.
I agree! I always wanted to create an educational game, lol!
I'm thinking about implementing a sort of shield system that will allow the player to smash through rocks at higher speeds allowing you to zip through the game. Still in the concept phase though!
Thanks for taking the time to stop by and leave feedback! It will really help me to improve this game!
Fun idea, like others have said, restarting constantly, especially with the slow loading screen really hampers it. However, the aesthetic was good. I liked controlling the ship. It felt surprisingly good despite being pretty out of control.
Was able to get a couple good runs. Sucks that the restarting is holding this down. I loved the idea of the tutorial being in the game . Plus you choose your difficulty by which way you go. Nice way of putting the menu inside the game. I'd like to try again after the jam.
It's really cool but the restarts are really holding this one down
Yeah, the constant restarting is definitely not helping this game, but a jam bug is a jam bug. Whatcha gonna do? Just bind that to a key like 'R', and you should be good to go.
The gold challenge seems a bit punishing as the ship is very hard to control going as fast as that star is spinning. I get that it's a challenge, but is kinda seems a bit too hard? Idk, maybe I just need to git gud lol
Also, when I went to the tutorial, I saw that left click was thrust and I ZOOMED past the rest of the tutorial! I had no idea how to slow down, and I missed all that information that you provided. I tried again, with that lesson in mind, and it went much better, but maybe having a warning about how fast you'll go or maybe just having a slower rev-up speed overall could help things?
There is very little play testing in this game right now, so I wouldn't be surprised if some of the Gold Challenges are next to impossible to finish. I only complete a few successfully!
I do plan on adding a few new ship in future updates that will have limited speed and acceleration, but I'll keep on mind that you just speed right past the intro. That wasn't a problem I foresaw and it needs to be fixed!
Thanks for posting such a detail comment! It really helps me understand when needs to change in the game!
I love the idea of this game. Even though the restart bug made it difficult to play, I still liked playing it. I am excited for a version without the bug and will definetly play it.
Really nice work, the rocket feels both hard and rewarding to control! One of the only thing I felt was a bit too much was the choice of music, but that’s just me being picky. I also experienced the bug Collision Check Games mentioned about overlap so maybe that played a part in what I felt. The rest’s pretty fun though!
Okey. So it was fun, but only until the music starts to loop and overlap. Also I ended up the Silver challenge, and the game started from the beginning. Maybe I misunderstood something, but it made me very frustrated. :(
But the idea is still fun! Hope you gonna polish it and realise it! :)
Fun mechanic, well presented - I loved how everything (the menu, tutorial, etc.) was part of the same scene, and the minimal geometry style was well realised :)
Alas, I was caught out by the few bugs you know about- 48 hours is never enough, and I see you got this in 45 seconds before the deadline, so my heart goes out to you there!
I did think it was a bit unforgiving at the start; the very first time you’re figuring stuff out you also only have one life so a mistake just kills you. Maybe start with a few lives as well?
