That's very good game, wow.

Is 18 a good score ?

Have a nice day and thanks for this superb game.

Developer(+1)

Thanks!

18 is... a score...

:P

Amazing idea! I saw sometimes the little guy glitching in my tiles, but there is nothig wrong with that (since this is a game jam), and the game also always restore its state correctly, so good job on this! Just to be sure, check every frame of the little guy animation, because probably there are some extra white pixels sparse around where they should not be. Anyway this is another small issue, nothing particularly bad or dangerous.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

The graphic glitch seems to be an issue with godot and rotating AtlasTextures, we checked and double-checked the sprite-sheet and there are no extra pixels :/

I love the premise and the way it wraps up the game's core mechanic -- just watching that little guy get bounced higher and higher made me happy, and their comments on their progress in the game made me laugh outright. Apparently the balance of my game is a bit off, but I had a great time all the same!

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks for playing!

Yep, balancing a game just right is hard work! ;)

Love the idea, and the execution is great.  Overall great submission :)

Developer

Thank you!

Wow! This feels like... it feels like, like Tetris! Like a firefighting squad from game&watch! Like pinball! The fusion of these designs is absolutely amazing! I absolutely love it! well done!!!

Developer

Thanks a lot!

Looks like we took inspiration from more games than we realized, which is cool! ;)

This is a really clever and well executed idea! I love that the tiles get weirder as you get further as well, and the anti-pickups are genius! well done

Developer(+1)

Thanks a bunch!

Our thinking was that positive pickups would be 'for the player', so they wouldn't fit our game. Hence 'bugs' to avoid ;)

very tough!

Developer

Yep ;)

Nice game! My little brother and I had a lot of fun competing with each other for high scores.

Developer

Thanks, happy you had fun!

So who got the highscore?

Submitted

Nice to see another tough game! I love the little quips that play after you lose each time. This would make a really great mobile game, and I think people would play it for real outside of this jam.

Great work!

Developer(+1)

Thanks a lot!

We're thinking of going over it again after the jam, and comments like yours really help to motivate us!

Cool game. Feels challenging...

Developer(+1)

It ain't just a feeling ;)

Such a cool concept with really nice art and music. Really gets you in the swing of things trying to make the noob go higher. ^^

Developer(+1)

Yep, gotta get those noobs going!

Thanks for playing, glad you enjoyed it!

Great art, music and concept! I got super high to where I was outrunning the lava by miles, although I landed perfectly against the right hand side and I couldnt place any blocks to catch them, I fell so far down into the lava haha! Also got to commend the intuitive controls, I noticed the slo mo bar while playing and said "Oh I forgot to read the controls, maybe its shift?" and it worked!

Developer(+1)

Thanks!

Happy our choice of controls was intuitive, although we might need to put in a tutorial to make sure players are aware of all the options ;)

The game is cool and very enjoyable and the art was nice !

I really like the concept and the music was choosen very good :D

This is a great idea! tailor-made for this jam.

Firs of all I want to say that the title art is fabulous. This is a very simple but fun game. I played it for a good amount of time and had fun. The only criticization I can say is the implementation of the theme. I didn't feel like the developer and didn't get the roles reversed atmosphere. Otherwise, very fun game

Developer

Thanks for playing!

It's true that it still kinda feels like a platformer, but we think that controlling the platform-placement instead of the character fits into the theme

Submitted

I enjoy the concept very much, its ice tower but cooler;) Its quite original. I love the title art!

I truggled with controls a little bit, would be nice if you could implement mouse movement, i think it would be more handy to navigate that way;)

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback!

Controls definitely need some fine-tuning, and mouse-control is something we're considering ;)

Loved the uniqueness of the game , enjoyed playing it again and again.

Developer

Thanks!
