It's a bit difficult to play since it lacks some UI elements, and something like a "Restart level" option, but I liked it as a concept: building the stage while the player is progressing.
The pathfinding is not bad at all for only 48h!
Visually, it's not the best, but you can understand what's on screen, so that's what counts.
Good job! =)
somehow I got negative blocks 👀. Anyway, impressive!
I had a lot of trouble with the controls and was unable to finish the game, but that might be just me considering what the other commnents are saying
This is actually pretty cool and system is impressive for a jam this short. You guys got something cooking there for sure!
Interesting idea, and fine pathfinding (for a jam game !)
Could benefit having someone doing the art ;)
Crazy what you've managed to do in just 48hours! Love the cute look of your game, superrr well done :D
Fun idea. I’m glad the trajectories of the player are visible because the AI felt a bit chaotic. There are some bugs regarding the springs like showing wrong trajectory and not being able to delete them.
It was very fun! I think this idea could be expanded to a comercial game, it's really polished for a 48 hour jam.
A lot of potential here! Would love to see this get expanded in the future.
The pathfinding AI is very impressive! The concept is implemented very well and the building mechanic is pretty flushed out for a game jam!
I think that this project is a really creative idea, and I really see a lot of potential for it to be really fun. However, the buggy level editor and the somewhat incompetent AI really does hurt a lot of that potential. While I'm not an AI-whisperer, I would guess that many of the issues with the AI could probably be solved by simplifying the movement abilities. For example, reducing the jump height so that the AI only has to consider jumping 1 block gaps. Or maybe only let the AI move right. This does somewhat go against the idea of the real-time AI platforming concept, but it might help to simplify the amount of computation the AI needs to perform in order to path-find to the end of the level.
If you end up submitting an AI-patched version of this to either the post jam or just in general after the submission period, please let me know as I unironically want to play that.
(P.S, fantastic name. My dad would approve)
Hello, thank you for your feedback and suggestions ! A lot of the AI limitations come from having no air control and mapping our graph to the tile-grid. We have multiples ideas for improvement and will work on them in the near future, as all the positive reviews got us pretty hyped !
We already submitted a new version with a few bugfixes and QOL changes, And we'll let you know whenever we make a final, polished release !
The AI is really cool!
Unfortunately the character got stuck and I wasn't able to figure out how to restart the level.
Could you give me feedback on my game?
Great idea, I especially love that you can a) see the trajectory of the player and influence it and b) still make changes at runtime. I managed to somehow break my game with invisible blocks and my block count going into the negative, but I really enjoyed what I got to play!
A nifty idea polished to a high degree, well done!
A very cool game! I like the different puzzles.
Good execution on the idea! I really like that you showed the expected path of the AI, really nice touch!
A nice execution of the level making concept and cool to see a player AI implemented. Nice work!
Not to creative of an idea, but solid execution. Apart from the player ai, that got stuck just way too often
Incredible game, really fun, would love to see what it would be without the editor bugs
Congrats, really fun to work with the pathfinding !
