Cool game! I like the idea, but the main character is a little hard to control and the maze doesnt help.(some corridors are way too small)
A simpler map layout would have been better( atleast for a tutorial level)
I think that by gradualy adding or removing things (walls, thiefs, cameras, treausures)you could make some solid stage progression
Hi! Thanks for the feedback. Really appreciate it:)
Really like the atmosphere, it really gives off the vibe of being alone in the dark. Also good use of the concept! I think there is more mechanics to explore in a game like this, something like leaving traps for the robber could be cool. Very nice!
I liked how it nailed the vibe of chasing someone, who's just around the corner. Been chasing the red guy for some time, reminded me of those highly scripted on foot chase scenes from games like Uncharted 3 and TLOU 2, but here it was organic, emergent gameplay, so good job!
Really cool how you nailed a great atmosphere and vibe with such a minimalist style!
Really good atmosphere. I saw the thief early on after they got one key, but they managed to lose me around a corner. It took me a while to find them again. Very fun!
Ahhh thank you! Those are the kinds of situations I tried to create! Happy you liked it!
Fantastic presentation and atmosphere, the first few seconds before the alarm are very unsettling. Camera effect and lighting are really cool. I think the game could be tweaked a little bit to be more fun. I think having the lose condition being to have all 4 keys stolen is a bit flawed, since I was able to just stand by the last key and there wasn't much tension of losing(though it seemed your ai was smart enough to not just run into me, I still had to chase it down, so good for that). I think if you lost the game if the thief stole any 3 or maybe any 2 keys the game would be a lot more tense. But the core game is very well executed! Good job!
Thank you! Really appreciate you constructive feedback! I completely agree. It's pretty near impossible to lose at it's curent state so implementing your idea would definetely help haha. Thanks for playing!
Cool idea and good implementation :) I like it
You nailed the vibe spot on. It really feels like you’re a clueless guard looking frantically for the intruder. The camera mechanic is pretty neat too. I think the thief AI could use some more work (he kind of just ran into me few times, and didn’t pick up the keys)? But that is expected and given the duration of the jam, it works pretty well. I don’t usually enjoy stealth games, so it was a treat to be able to play it from the other perspective. Great work!
Thank you so much for the feedback! I agree, the AI definetly has some improvement potential as this was my first dive into pathfinding algorithms hahah. Really appreciate it! Thanks for playing!
This is a really great submission. Interesting concept and easy to understand tutorial. The atmosphere is just excellent. If only there were a little more graphics this would have been just perfect Easily one of the best games of the jam!
Oh wow! That's some extremely kind words! Really appreciate that!! Thank you for playing!
The atmosphere made the game feel like a horror game, so I was moving in the dark very slowly hoping there wouldn't be a jump scare haha. Very catchy music and a cool camera look.
Thank you! Hahah would've been a bastard move to but in a random jumpscare in the game
Interesting concept! Would love more variation and challenges in this in the future!
Thank you so much for your feedback! I definetely will iterate on this concept in the future:)
Nice game. I was thinking of a game like this but thought the AI might be hard. I like the camera, but I was able to place several cameras out. I think including different tools and traps would be nice.
The AI was pretty hard for the limited time given hahah but I think it turned out OK. Thanks for the heads up on the bug:)
Love the camera mechanic and the overall feel! Could have been harder or had a few more levels.
Thank you for your feedback! Really appreciate it:)
Cool idea and execution, just felt like the thief didn't really try to accomplish anything but just ran around. Was also maybe bit too hard to catch them after spotting, due to the constrained walls/speed of characters.
Really enjoyed the game and its mechanics, especially the camera. Great job!
Thank you:)
I loved the idea! Very well for a jam game.
Amazing!! Was a little easy, but I really liked the line-of-sight effects, and the camera was a cool feature. In-game tutorial was a nice touch too!
Thanks for your feedback!
Loved it. Seemed a little to easy for me, but still enjoyable. Would like to see more difficult levels.
And movement is sluggish a bit, or maybe it's just my pc is sluggish : )
Thank you for your feedback!:))
This idea definitely has some potential!
I couldn't enjoy the game as much as I'd like to because of performance issues, but that's likely on my end... And I think, I managed to clip through the walls...
Nonetheless, this is a nice game!
Thank you for your feedback! Really appreciate it! Didn't have time to really optimize so don't think it's just on your end haha
Solid concept, and impressive implementation of the flashlight/lighting overall. Might be helpful to implement a few ways to track the thief, but has a lot of potential. Good job :)
Thank you so much for your feedback! Really appreciate it!:)
