The art direction is really nice and the music is fitting. The lighting especially made the game really nice to look at, and I'm also a sucker for reptile-like characters.

I was kind of lost throughout the game though and did not see where the theme comes in, and I also ended up getting stuck in the pit. The camouflage (?) mechanic seems really cool too but it kind of is just there because enemies still do not interact with the player. The grappling mechanic was really fun  to use tho, I liked playing around with and especially liked consecutive grapples.

I hope to see the game and mechanics become more polished because the visuals and environment are amazing :D. Great work!

I love the pixel art, all of the visual elements like the lights, decoration and glow worked really well together. The player character was very well animated too, although the movement felt a bit clunky. Also, I was quite lost though on what to do, I was just aimlessly moving around, maybe some more direction in the game. Anyway, well done on completing the game :)

Woah killer art!

Now this is a very polished pixel art style game I played in this jam. Very high quality art and UI design. Might need to add mid-air control to make the grappling mechanic even more polished. Stunning piece of a game, would love for this one to be expanded more. :)

Yo! This is such a cool concept! The catchy title caught me at first but then the game itself is just awesome. However I don't really know what these jumping robots (enemies?) do. When I got close I was greet with unpleasing music/sounds that probably could mean something like I'm on low hp or something. After standing still for like a minute and robot constantly jumping onto me nothing happend :P

Developer (1 edit)

Sadly we had to rush the game out there and when we lost the game/level designer some things needed to be cut short :(

So enemies can't hurt you now. We plan to fix all the issue post launch.

That being said, thanks for he kind words and I hope that you enjoyed it a little bit :)

Such a beautifully made game, underrated too! The sound design and UI is great as well.

Submitted(+1)

Like what other players said below, the game does have a few issues like the softlock area with the giant pit of robots and the UI on the top left blocking the player's view whenever they want to grapple there. I do, however, liked the custom sprites, the environment, the music, and how the game will auto-aim the grapple for you if you are facing the right direction.

Feels like a really good base gameplay to build off of. The grapple feels pretty smooth, you could keep the momentum going after you finish the grapple to make it a bit more seemless. Good job on the atmosphere as well.

I really enjoyed the feel and vibe of this game. Sound design was top notch and mechanics worked really well! My only gripe was that I was feeling too lost with no real sense of direction on which way I should go apart from "up".

Nice job!

OH! I can't remember where exactly but at some point I fell into a pit with 3 robot jumping enemies with the ledge being too high to jump out of but no grappling hook marks to use to escape either; essentially causing me to restart entirely.

Super cool style, intro screen is an absolute banger, I'm always a big fan of these settings

Would be very grateful if you tried our game!

The gameplay and the atmosphere seems to clash a little bit, when I first started it and was given a grappling hook I expected it to be a fast-paced platformer with a cyberpunk theme, but then the atmosphere kicked in and it felt more like a survival horror game.

Also there's controls for swapping items, but I never found any other items but I still beat the game, so.. Pro gamer speed run strats?

Really cool art design though, whoever made that intro screen should feel proud!

Developer

Yeah we overscoped on the level and ran out of time and had to rush it to make it resemble something "complete". You have given me hope by confirming that its actually possible to get to the exit door XD. Glad you got some enjoyment out of it still. Thanks for the feedback!

Submitted(+1)

The movement is a bit unpolished but the grappling hook is a very fun mechanic overall. Also got stuck in a pit 😅 Love the setting and designs; also the sound design of the drones makes me anxious 🔥

Developer(+1)

Thanks so much for playing. Yeah we overscoped and couldn't finish the level in time. Will resolve these problems after the jam voting phase closes. Glad you were still able to get some enjoyment out of it!

Atmosphere is so good and gameplay is fun! It'd be nice to have some exposition at the beginning about the character and the evil corporation hehe

Developer

Thanks for the suggestion :) We will try to implement more narrative in a post-jam update.

Submitted(+1)

really love the style of this! i think if instead of falling slowly and jumping up fast, you would jump slowly and fell more quickly it would feel a lot better to play. currently it feels like zero gravity, or like the character is hovering.

Developer

We realized that gravity for falling was to slow little too late and it would/could force us to remake a level so we decided not to risk it and change it post launch.

Oh man, what an absolute marvel of aesthetics. This game look so good, the sound and atmosphere are stunning. Schmoving around with the grappling hook is very satisfying -- this is a triumph, well done.

Developer

Thank you for the kind words. As some below pointed out grappling hook could be improved. We will try to improve the game post launch :)

Nice pixelart, the ui is awesome but it is to big and somethimes doesnt help the gameplay. some areas feel like very long with nothing.

Developer

Yeah... our level designer canceled last minute before the jam so programmers had to sacrifice their time partially between both tasks. We will try to fix it post launch :)

Thanks for the feedback :)

The art direction for this game is incredible visually, and the sound design really gave me a sense of dread every time I encountered something. However, the dread disappears quickly when the enemies can't hurt me, making them more of a visual piece than a game element.

With that being said, I enjoyed playing it, even making it to the end!

Developer

We were 1 person short in the team so we didn't make it in time with level design and some mechanics. We will fix it post launch.

Submitted(+1)

Artisticly speaking: great;
But the hook's a bit clunky, no collision with enemies and believe it or not, I found a place in the map to softlock myself. Still, GG

Developer

We will try to address the issues post launch. If you could provide info where did you soft lock we could fix it. Or maybe we could implement some sort of "reset button to latest checkpoint" just to safe :)

Submitted(+1)

the art is REALLY pretty! looking forward to seeing some of the mechanics fleshed out if you decide to keep working on it :)

Developer

Glad you like even though is not up to the standards. But I guess it is expected during the jams. We will try to fix it post launch :)

The pixel art and the lighting is stunning. But it could have had more conversations to explain the lore or give an idea of what we're supposed to do.

Developer (1 edit)

We always make our games so story and narrative heavy so we wanted some change. But made some ambient narration could help a bit. Thanks for feedback :)
