I won!!
great idea, very charming and cute!
It took a while to understand that zooming in/out change the dimensions of the houses, so maybe I would make it more obvious.
Thanks for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Yes I put the grid in to try and make t more obvious but the whole mechanic wasn't super clear. I did plan to have a full tutorial and things but jam games be jam gaming and I ran out of time so I had to settle for the static text.
It is very cozy, but did not get it. sorry.
Very cute game, the music was chill. It took me a while to figure out how the game works and then I turned hints on which helped xD. Fun!
cool art style and a cute fun game!
Cute game! I thought the puzzle mechanics were really interesting. I think panning around with the mouse would make it a much smoother experience. I also think the houses should scale as I zoom in and out. I had a nice, relaxing time with this game, great work!
Thanks for playing!
The houses scaling with you was definitely the intention to begin with but I ran into difficulty implementing it. Moving around with the mouse would definitely be a great addition as well. Noted.
I was a little confused at first at how the scaling worked but when I got the hang of it, it became a fun puzzle. Also loved the wholesome theme of giving each animal a cozy home :3
I appreciate a puzzle game that makes me stop and think. Once I got it, everyone got a place to live. Love the art, the music, and the vibe. Well done! :D
Hi Walrusware! The game had really cool vibes and I thought it was really cute. I personally did have a bit of a hard time understanding what to do, even with the hints and the tutorial. I plopped some houses down, gave some animals their homes, and wasn't sure how to proceed from there. Either way, it's super original and well executed!
Thanks for playing. It should giv you about 5 animals and once they all have houses a small game over screen should play and ask if you want to go again or us sandbox mode just to place houses for fun.
If this didn't show up for you thn I'm really sorry and 'll look into bugs etc.
Fun and cute game. It's an original concept and I like how things shrink and grow with the player rather than being controlled "externally" because it makes things a lot more interesting.
A relaxing little game with an interesting idea. The scaling system was a bit confusing at first, but after I figured it out it was quite fun. The game is rather short currently (understandable due to Jam time limit), but with more content it would easily be something to sit and play for hours. Overall a very solid concept with a charming art style.
Definitely glad the hint system exists, because I got a bit confused at times :3 Cute game though! I feel like the puzzling got more engaging as it went on and it 'clicked'.
Very cute artstyle and a nice take on the theme! Glad the hint system was included otherwise I'd have never figured things out on my own, whoops. Even so, very enjoyable to build a massive mess of houses! :D
Adorable art and a creative interpretation of the theme! It might be better if the house changed size when zooming in and out, as it feels a bit unintuitive right now. Overall, it's a fun game—well done!
That was the origial intention but jam games be jam gaming so I had to drop that feature. Thanks for playing
came for the mushroom houses, stayed for the little deductive reasoning about who needed what house. Took me a little while to get a handle of the mechanics but once i fully grasped it, I really enjoyed it I was not expecting how much thinking I would have to do for who needed what house, and I was always really happy when I got it right!.
Nice little cozy game. If you continue to work on it, it might be nice if there were more implicit hint to which house to build for what animal (e.g. a little text box of an animal saying this is too big) besides the full solution.
Thanks for the suggestion. A tooltip or more obvious scaling for the animals, or the animals gving feedback themselves is a great idea. Thanks for the suggstion.
Origionally I waed the anmals to come on screen and ask you for a house and that would work as a bit of a tutorial but tme constrains and difficulty with coding some of the systems meant I ended up having to cut that and just used the shilohettes instead.
Took a second to get a grasp of the scaling. Once I got there though I had a very good time. Great work!
This is so cozy <3
Enjoyable and relaxing, enjoyed making a full town well done!
Yooooo really goood game i really loved the concept
A really fun time! And super cute. Awesome job :)
