How does your game fit the theme?
In line with the jam’s theme, “Built To Scale,” I aimed to create the tiniest survival game possible. I chose the world of microorganisms as my inspiration, and fittingly, the main enemy in this game is a cellular automaton that relentlessly chases you around the level. Here is a quick description of What is a Cellular Automaton is: A cellular automaton is a simple model used to simulate complex systems. Imagine a grid made up of cells, where each cell can be in one of several states (like on or off). The state of each cell changes over time according to a set of rules. In the case of my game the rules of each cell are determined by the position of the player. This creates an illusion of the automaton intelligently changing the player around.

Wow, really good and well polished game, nice and simple tutorial at the start of the game, many power-ups

Really cool! The enemy swarm was a fun opponent. Simple visual. Upgrades feel fun. The only issues I noticed were being able to push rewards out of bounds and being able to wall yourself in completely so you couldn't lose.

I really liked the weapons. I feel like some of these weapons are so creative that they would deserve a game on them!

Great gameplay and fitting, nice-looking visuals.

Great work with the enemy AI.

I had a blast! Not much to critique.

really cool roguelike!simple and effective idea

Very satisfying game and the graphics are nice.

I'd agree with Diamond32 about the building mechanic. It's unfitting for you to gave to think about building and erasing walls while trying to avoid your untimely demise.

Whole idea of playing on the finger was actually amazing! It was  satisfying cute little game. I enjoyed it.

The only thing I would suggest is making walls disappear after some time (or last wall disappears if you put one more than you can). Because when you run and build it is sometimes a bit inconvenient to move mouse back and try to find walls to erase to get few additional blocks. That would also restrict player from just building walls and farming exp (although not sure about that since i liked to block myself and just farm for a bit :D) But these are just a small things.

Overall, It was great game, felt polished and I am looking forward for more content if the future!

I like the intro transition, and the game is very well executed! No real critiques from me, this is a great take on the genre!

Submitted

This is very clean executed, I really like the way the looks and feels! Good job guys, very well done!

The cellular automata chasing you is super slick. On thing though, with all the mines, cursor and other dots being left around it’s pretty easy to lose track of the player. All the upgrades are super fun and it feels great to be unlocking stuff as you go.

Great idea and a good game! I spent quite a bit of time trying to help this person keep their finger clean, hahaha. Very cool, congrats!

Ah, fellow slime enthusiast. Love your spin on it. Walls are OP but still died 😔. We didn’t have time to add upgrades to ours, I think it’s a definite win.

this one is weird, stylistically it works pretty well(altho the finger jump scare kinda got me at first) the evil black goo is very cool and i like the way it moves and is damaged

i really like the build ability in a type of game like this but the walls need to be able to be destroyed by the goo, because you can just cheese it with a dome

i get the burst and split abilities but they very quickly filled the map and made the game less fun

anyway pretty interesting game

I love it! I played this way too long lol

Submitted

Too satisfying. Illegal.

This is exactly the type of game I find fun, and it's so well executed too. Cool mechanic and I love the intro cutscene with the finger. The SFX for the goo felt very satisfying, how is it it works? It felt very adaptive to what happened. My highscore was level 21, I found out that if you got Ram+ you can spin around by spamming WASD in a circle and do quite a lot of damage.

really sweet game :D I enjoyed it. I liked the mechanics and the gameplay. Nicely done!

Awesome! The walls were my favorite upgrade for the limited space, and fit the theme very well :)
