Very relaxing gameplay loop until you accidentally use a rock and your architectural marvel of a building ends up tipping too far left and your all your hopes and dreams come crashing down with it. 10/10

Its kind of weird to get accostumed to the camera changing, but its a super fun game!

Congratulations :)

I liked the experimental pixel mode!

Developer

THANK YOU haha :D I was hoping to make it all pixely but i never finished that mode. so happy you noticed <3

Super enjoyable game! Building in 2D a tower that has 3D physics was a bit weird at first, but once I got used to it it was a blast!

Developer

thanks for playing! Yeh, I should have done a better job of making it more clear you can change perspectives (pressing wasd) to allow for dropping in 3d but even then it's a bit tricky haha. You're not the only one that felt it so it's something to revisit for the post jam build. Thank you for the feedback/playing!

This is so creative, I love it, how did you come up with this idea?? Really cool concept and surprisingly fun.

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for playing! I was actually inspired by some other block stacker flash games and bridge making games, but i didn't see that many of them in 3d so wanted to give it a try :D the acorns system was also inspired by roguelike card games I played such as Slay the Spire :3

great concept! loved the art style (the racoon and squirrel are cute!)

like someone said adding a zoom feature might help

Developer

thanks for playing and for the feedback as well! with 2 ppl suggesting the same thing it's def something I'll want to get to before the next release :)

Submitted(+2)

It's a very relaxing game :D Love the soundtrack, visuals, and the fun descriptions of the items on the upgrade UI. My tower was coming along nicely until it collapsed dramatically before reaching the Eiffel tower target. I also think a zoom functionality would make things easier as you build up, so you can keep tabs on how the foundations of your tower is holding up. Great entry!

Developer(+1)

oooooh ur so right, I was thinking about a zoom functionality but didn't get around to implementing it. I think it would have really helped with appreciate the scale of the thing you made. Thank you for playing and thank you for the feedback, will def look into adding it post jam <3!

Super cosy and cute atmoshpere! I loved the camera mechanics, the placement was a bit finnicky at first but once I got the hang of it had a blast. Oh, and of course, who doesn't love upgrades :D

Developer(+1)

Thank you!!!!! yeah the placement took a lot of iterations to where it got and I'm still not the happiest with it, but glad it was possible to learn how to use it!!! might revisit at a later date to get it working perfectly >:)

Submitted(+1)

Make sure to let me know if you do improve on it! :)

Developer

will do! thank you so much for the interest :) thankfully I put in wayyy too much effort into trying to make the game scaleable, so hopefully more to come!

Such a fun game with great vibes. Super fun to just chill, relax, and stack! Watching 3D physics bodies interact is just great and your implementation is so much fun!!! Additionally fits the theme really well!

I found through trial and error most pieces were not suitable for building a giant tower. I came to optimize my tower with just single boxes (truly pillars of the nation) as another commented mentioned. Unfortunately my hubris was my downfall and I didn't make it to the top. One of the last known images pre the Great Dumpster Tower Collapse.

Developer(+1)

omg... rip tower will be missed 😔😔😔 thank you for playing and all your kind words!!!!!

Submitted(+2)

Really cool entry! though... why cant the cones stack? (colossal oversight!)
like this:

^

Developer

thank you for playing! Yeah, the cones were a bit tricky to get working because I didn' t know the models had to be convex.... Will probably revise it though and recreate the model to allow for that though! cone stacking will be a thing...

I liked this a lot! it was a bit to learn at first, but once I got the hang of it I had a great time. It feels a lot like playing with wooden blocks as a kid, good work!

Developer

Thanks! that was the feeling we were going for :) glad you enjoyed!!!

Submitted(+2)

Cool idea, took me a while to realise  the tower was 3d

Developer

Thanks for playing! I'll try to make it a bit more evident in a future build :p

I love the relaxing style of the game that helps put you at ease when your tower inevitably crumbles. I appreciate all you did to make judging where the items where in 3D a bit easier, but that was still a challenge.

Developer

Thank you! Yeah, it was a bit challenging to figure out how to make dropping in 3d easier (might have been better to not have a bird's eye view), the preview and locked axis were the compromise I made at the time, but might have been better to make the movement tied to something other than the mouse haha.

We love the art style and the music. Awesome entry!

Developer

Thank you for playing!! Really appreciate it :)

Submitted(+2)

I love the art style and ideas! Reminds me of that stack the states game.

Developer

Aww thank you! I haven't played stack the states but i def see the similarity now that I look at it :0

Submitted(+2)

Love the atmosphere, especially the peaceful music. Fun little game, but damn these orange cones

Developer

Thank you for playing!!! Yeah the cones are diabolical haha

Submitted(+1)

Physics-based puzzle? And a CCG? That's  awesome combo!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the kind words, happy I nailed that niche >:) excited to play your game as soon as I'm home

Submitted(+1)

Ok, this is really really great ! It's hard but polished and mindsoothing, a nice idea executed with style and tenderness. Amazing job ♥

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for playing! Glad you enjoyed it <3

Nice classic mechanic! Loved the lore and the items you use for the build :) The power-ups (glue, 3 boxes, 2x size, etc) sometimes stack on top of each other visually on the top-left board, not sure if that’s intended. Managed to reach 29m, after that it turned into a huge mess 😅

Congrats on the submission. I’d be happy if you tried my game as well: https://lisyarus.itch.io/color-fractory

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! yeah, I didn't get around to fixing the power-ups to better slots but it's definitely something on the radar for after the jam :).

I'll make sure to check out your game! from the looks of it it's right up my alley :>
