This game looks so pretty! I do agree with people about the controls, felt a bit tricky to pick up. Something to work on if you ever do a V2!

Developer

Well who knows maybe we'll add a few things that were cut and turn it into an actuall game

Submitted

That would be so good!

Submitted

wow cool graphics, really good art, atmosphere, sometimes the game control was confusing, could be improved.

Developer

Yeah we could have changed the control scheme to something more intuitive.

Submitted(+1)

Game is just dripping with style. Love the theming and the controls for traversal and interactions were intuitive. Great work!

Submitted(+1)

Very polished game, with a well defined art style and feel to it

Loved the story!

Developer

Glad to hear that!

Submitted(+1)

Classic style and great game. Back button in the settings menu, looks like a reset button for me.

Very sick and stylish game!
Atmospheric and charming.
Hope to see this at the top!

Developer

Thank's for the help with playtesting the first demo it wouldn't be here if not for the fixes we made based on the feedback <3

Submitted

Thank you for your masterpiece!

Submitted

Oh, and Mentel! Stop by and check our game, too!

Classic style. Really love the cigarette UI as sliders in the settings, haha. I would add some type of button change on hover in the main menu, so it is clear that the game is not stuck. Lots of reading, but i like reading, especially elaborate plots, even if a bit genre-stuck, so... Great job!

Developer(+1)

Well we wanted to make a game that feels like noir so I guess mission accomplished.

Submitted(+1)

I should save this to play it again later

Developer

Well I hope you'll like it

Submitted(+1)

really cool game, dont really see the theme from the little amount i tested. but the style is really polished!

Developer

With the game rounding to about half an hour up to even two in some cases and with 4 endings we had some space to explore it more in the case of story and the the ability to closer inspect evidence was an additional touch to tie it in.

Submitted(+1)

I love the art and the atmosphere! one very minor thing though - you should make the rain the same pixel size as everything else. it really stood out when everything is on the grid and the rain is different.

Developer(+1)

I slaped the particle system on just to make it not as static and most people don't notice so shhh...

Submitted

haha i get it, but i couldnt stop looking once i noticed. Great game though, congrats on your work

Looks like a well polished game. Everything feels so refined. Great world, wonderful art, and story. Really impressive!

Developer

Thanks actaully it was mostly rushed and finished at the last moment but we tried to make it stick

Submitted(+1)

Such a nice game for such a short jam!

Great art. You put a lot of effort in populating the world with items, writing dialogs,... It's great!

I struggled a bit with the controls. Between space, W and mouse click, sometimes I didn't know how to proceed.

I read the cheat-sheet, because I couldn't solve case 1. But in fact, I had already all the clues. I didn't know there was nothing else to get.

But I'm splitting hair. It's a fantastic game.

Developer (1 edit)

It's fine this is kind of why we put that there so people who get stuck can get through the cases. In retrospect we could have cut down on content and added an actuall tutorial as we played around with unique mechanics

Submitted(+1)

Great visuals, style, music and overall atmosphere. Stunning amount of content that you has produced in 96 hours! Was a little bit hard to understand what I should click on and what I should do next to proceed

Developer

Yeah we crunched pretty hard to get it all and didn't have time to put in a actual good tutorial

Submitted(+1)

I enjoyed the atmosphere and art. Good job

Submitted(+1)

The pixel art is gorgeous, really suits the noir genre well. Had a lot of fun reading the story and going through a lot of the content. Great job!

Developer(+1)

Thanks we worked hard to make it look like noir. And the story is  really long like 3 cases and 4 endings long so if you ever have time visit back and try to finish it :D

This is thoroughly unhinged for this kind of jam. Feels barely related to the theme, but it is also just an entire detective game. The dialogue is also very up and down in terms of quality, with some of it being very good and some of it being grammatically incorrect and having spelling errors. Can't help but be a fan of the level of detail and sheer amount of stuff in it though. I also do really enjoy the visual style. Overall, really nice product for just a few days of work!

Developer

We struggeld with comming up with a unique game for the theme and just thought ehh maybe a magnifying glass... and just went with it, some spelling error we just didn't have time to fix with how delicate some of the systems have gotten but thank's for the feedback

Submitted(+1)

This is an insane amount of content for such a little jam and I loved the aesthetics!

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks so much we were adding dialog later in left and right, during the last what 30 minutes before the extension it was an exhausting experience. But If you ever have time try the 3 cases they are pretty fun according to playtesters at least

Submitted(+1)

Super cool game with lots of interactions and I love the style, including the design of the esc menu for volumes. I think it would be nice to add a small button prompt near the areas where you press W for the first couple times maybe. I understood going through the door into the first room but didn't comprehend it was still the same button for the rest :') Also a small prompt for using the space bar to move the dialog and such would make this game perfect and a little more understandable at the beginning. Overall super cool game!

Developer

Yeah... We were falling on time during the last push so I kinda didn't have time to add any in game "what are the controls" and just hoped people would read the discription when they get stuck with it

Submitted(+1)

I didn't played the whole but OMG THIS IS SO MUCH CONTENT!! I'm amazed by how much this game has to offer with only 96 hours of development. Personally, I would add more hints to interactible areas because it's a little bit hard to understand what buttons to press where. Overall, awesome game!

Developer

There was a LOT of writing things down involved, we were on the verge of mental collapse during the last 10 hours. (I added about 180 interactions during the last 3 hours).

If you have any ideas how to make it easier to understand what buttons one has to press and where then we'd appreciate you sharing.

Submitted(+1)

The aesthetic for this game was really well designed, and the music really matches the vibe. I also appreciate the indicators that let you know where to stand to interact with something. I definitely struggled with some parts of the game, but that is how mystery games go. Overall, the game is really well polished and has a lot of content for a game jam, so well done!

Developer

Thanks for the kind words, it wasn't easy to write down everything we had in mind.
