The movement was the most challenging part of this game and was the most common cause of death. I would quickly get a little disoriented. Maybe indicating which part of the tank is the front could help clarify. Aside from that, great work!

Thank you for taking the time to try our prototype and for the feedback—it's much appreciated! We’re going to address it after the jam ends. :)

Really cute little game. Nice art and simple but appealing core gameplay concept. Excellent work

Really great graphics and clear sound effects. I like the movement of the tank, even though it is difficult. One wish is enemies not spawning almost on you. Anyway, the main mechanic of growing bullet is nice and the game is easy to understand. Great job!

I guess I should have expected the tank controls! Nice game once I got over that, GG

I enjoyed chaining together enemies, satisfying gameplay! Love that it was an idea from kids <3

Nice! I think it's really sweet that you and your wife were able to bring your kids' imaginations to life. I know people are talking about how difficult it is to move the tank, but I really like the tank's style of movement. I think it's a much more unique way of moving around and encapsulates the feeling of a vehicle. Maybe it would help if there was a clearer indicator of which way the tank was facing?

hank you for playing our entry and leaving us this awesome feedback! Our kids really love helping us with every silly prototype we pull together, and they’re thrilled to see people enjoying the game (we keep them updated!). We appreciate your suggestions about the tank visuals and believe that addressing them will help fix the confusion with the controls. Thanks again! :)

A nice little jam game! Lovely art, and it's fun to blast those legally-distinct mushrooms!

Developer

Thank you for taking the time to play our entry and for the hilarious comment—it made us laugh!

Great concept, fits the theme well enough. I do love how your kids were basically the game designers here xD

Developer

Thank you for taking the time to play our entry and for the kind words! 😄 It was a bit of a cop-out on our side, but the kids definitely saved us!

Hectic game. Good job! I couldn't get a handle on the controls as sometimes I would push down and it would go down, sometimes I would push down and it would go left.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing our entry and for the feedback! We apologize for any frustration caused by the controls. 😄 We think the issue might be that it's difficult to differentiate the front from the back of the tank. We’re definitely going to address this after the jam.

This is a great looking and well-executed game!  I think the balancing is a little off in the direction of too difficult, but I still had fun. Nice work!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! We’re glad you enjoyed the game and thought it was well-executed. We appreciate the feedback on the difficulty we are definetly going to try balanc it after the jam ends :)

And you said something about my controls in a tank game?!!!
It's not easy to move here either)) plus the enemies are very fast and can appear instantly near you, without any warning
I found the best tactic for myself to stand still and shoot at everything that appears on the screen, not paying attention to the color

In any case, a game jam is difficult and congratulations on the finished game, 80% of the participants couldn't do it :)

Developer

Yeah I guess driving a tank in real life will be tricky too :D Thank you for taking the time to play our entry and giving us your feedback! Its much appreciated!! Congrats to you too ! :)

It's a cool idea but I didn't get very far x_x. I think the big bullet would feel more powerful if after its first upgrade it could go through the first enemy before despawning, after the 2nd upgrade go through 2 enemies before despawning etc. Also I had difficulties maneuvering the vehicle with the keyboard, but I feel like controllers would feel more natural. And for a better user experience I suggest to find a way to put the UI next to the player to avoid having it dispatched everywhere. For example a health bar above the player (with the heart icon), and slightly above another bar (with the shroom icon) split in n sub-bars to show the progress for the bullet upgrade.

Developer

Thank you for taking the time to play our entry and for leaving us this awesome feedback! We’re taking note and will definitely work on improving the UI. Thanks again; we really appreciate it!

Really liked the concept, simple game but enjoyable!

Good job at adding a tutorial screen on how to play the game on the start, really useful! Nice work ^^

Nice concept with great visuals! I agree on the difficulty curve, maybe start with slower enemies or enemies coming from farther away at first, maybe the camera needs to be a little bit zoomed out, and maybe the tank controls are not really necessary to enjoy the game. Just my humble opinion, nevertheless this was great fun! Well done! :)

Developer

Thank you for taking the time to play our entry and for the feedback. We’re going to iterate on it after the jam and will try to address all the awesome feedback we’ve received. :)

Nice! Very satisfying to finally get the bullet size where you can shoot through enemies.
