How does your game fit the theme?
I have a robot that is programmed (build) to get fishscales. You can scale up your fishtank. Also the just like regular fish they adapt depending on your fishtanks size

I have to say this is a super interesting idea. I like how you don't need to fight the enemies but rather follow and avoid them to collect their scales. I also really like the look of the game. The small bubbles from the robot or the caustics on the ground make it really immersive.

The only criticism I have is that I don't really get the point of getting damaged. Does it actually do something?

Besides that, I think this is an awesome entry and a really unique idea I haven't seen so far. Good job!

And can I just say that the Moray scared the shit out of me the first time I encountered it haha

Developer

The small fishes stun you, if you get further in the game were the other fish get larger you need to manouver around those so you dont get stunned and then eaten

Oh, I didn't even realize, but then again, I am just a pro gamer who barely gets hit lol ... not really haha

It was really a new idea and the game environment is beautifully designed, but it took me a while to get used to the new gameplay and understand the goal. But I think it was an interesting game for the Jam. Good job.

A build my own run type of dungeon crawler I can totally dig that. I wonder have you thought of a pick of system for items? Or did I not make it far enough those fish were beating me down!

Developer(+1)

If you get to further rooms there are Items/ treasure you can pick up! The game is bit hard my bad xD

Submitted(+1)

Nah it was a skill issue im giving games some quick test runs but im sure I can beat it

I enjoyed this a lot! The mechanic is simple, balancing between buying more rooms vs. collecting more shards, and it worked quite well I think. The sound design was also on point, I got a little jump-scared when I got eaten by a big fish once as I was exiting a room! The game does lack some polish (in terms of visuals and feel), but the core loop seems fun! Maybe one other additional mechanic would be good though, since the game play did tend to get a tad bit monotonous over time.

Thanks! Yeah a lot of quality of life changes can be made, I might work a bit on it after the jam.

really like the artstyle! the fish scares me!

The game is really enjoyable! Buying more space for the tank is a creative way to fit the theme. Good job!

I don't really get how much money you should have to not make the fish get angry :(
Other than that I really like the idea, you have to micromanage how much you are willing to pay to get more rooms, therefore more scales, but every new room is farther from the base, therefore requires more time to collect.
It is a simple yet very interesting mechanic, congrats!

Developer(+1)

Fish get angry based on the size of your fishtank :)

How did you make this in 4 days wow

Nice game! I liked the underwater shader overlay.

Fun game, the tension between spending money to expand and saving it to meet the quota is great!

Submitted(+1)

Cool game! it would be nice to see more different types of fish but other than that good job!

Awesome job on the game! I really like the feauture of having to clock out, it added a bit of extra to the game.

Would have loved to see some more variation in the fish. Get some nice colors in to give contrast.

Overall i really liked it!!!!  Props on the jump scare😱

I like the idea and the game itself is pretty fun .  The boss convo is nice :D .

Best of luck !

Awesome game, very engaging with trying to find all the treasures, buying more tanks and reaching quota, didn't feel bored for a moment. Nice work! :))

Thank you!

Love it! Was fun trying to be tactical about when and where to fish and the jumpscare got me..... twice.... Would be nice to be able to see my health (if I even had health)

Developer

no health xD but might add in the future

This game shows that out-of-the-box thinking that we need! The art was refreshing as well, well done!

Game looks really cool, also the boss in the beginning looks exactly like a boss xDD but I really like the graphics and the gameplay!

Moment to moment gameplay is a little slow for my tastes but I love the look of it. The submarine character is so cute, and the lighting of the water is awesome! Nice work, GG

Simple but effective, nice art and I liked the "water ripples" effect. The fact that the controls felt a bit floaty might... make sense, but it probably contributed to it feeling a bit random since you couldn't do much to avoid the dashing fishes. Good work!
