The main mechanic of this is game is so cool, original and clever. I loved the artsyle , and in general the presentation is top tier, it looks very well polished. It was a bit too hard, I wanted to finish it so badly, but I couldn't get pass one of the wall jumping sections. Awesome game!!!

Via the artifact, you can change the scale the viewport (the horizons) - either anchor them, so that they stay the same size, or shrink them. Please check below for the keybindings/controls!

This is one of my favorite games I've played this jam for sure. It doesn't have a lot of mechanics, but explores what it has very well and has great level design. My one criticism is that the wall jumps were sometimes a little frustrating - I had a lot of trouble with the final level for that reason, since it required a long stretch of consecutive wall jumps between fairly spaced-apart walls to complete. Still, I enjoyed this a lot. Great work here. This definitely deserves more ratings than it has!
Wow. Wow. Wow. 10/10. There's few platformers I enjoy and dont roll my eyes at because platformers so often feel repetitive, but this was so creative. I enjoyed every second of it. The mechanics feel amazing and it has so, so much potential. PLease work more on it, I really do think it could do so, so incredibly well as a full game. Very disappointed to see it doesnt have more ratings
Might just be the best game of the jam I've played so far. I forgot this was made in 96 hours for a second, incredible. Gives off major Celeste vibes to me, both aesthetic and music wise which is a very good thing. I would really love to see a full game of this, maybe with slightly improved movement. Not to say its bad, it could just be better. The base mechanic is very creative and fun, and I feel a lot can be done with it. I really think this has a lot of potential as a full game. It also deserves way more ratings than it currently has.
Super creative mechanic!
Love the art as well and the level design is really solid
The wall jump felt weird at first but I got used to it. I wish the beam was on SHIFT to make playing with WASD easier, controller support would also be great
Great job! :)
Great game ! The concept is amazing, the art as well ! The wall-jumping was a bit hard but overall i enjoyed the game ! Well done :)
Wow. I could've played a hundred more levels of that very happily! The viewport mechanic offered surprisingly varied platforming puzzles, and its visual execution was incredible! There are so many little presentational touches I could go on about all day - but point is, the aesthetic was great, and it really came together cohesively with the gameplay. This one's definitely a personal favorite of the jam for me!
It’s overall a great entry. Looks good, sounds good, has a nice introduction and everything.
I was having some issues with wall jumps (I was slipping down when I felt like I shouldn’t have), but in general the gameplay is smooth. Quite good level design too.
Amazing job, it’s a shame this entry has too few ratings. It deserves more recognition
I finished it, I like it ;3
[the wall jumping makes me kinda rage hahaha, especially that spike to wall jump level >;<]
but the jumping sound kinda makes me feel itchy because it's a metal sound while I land on grass
Overall, it's a very nicely polished game, great job! ^^
Super well rounded, nice job. I think the concept is great, I just found the controls to be a little bit too finicky. Anytime I had to do a precise jump > directional beam cast was pretty rough. I'm sure it would play amazingly on a controller. Great sound and art :)
Beautiful idea, brilliantly executed. I am biased towards platformers, but I think this is the best game I've played so far. I think it's actually wall jump height that makes them difficult. They are not so hard to do, but when each one only gains you the tiniest amount of height, you have to do them with very tight timing to move upwards.
That is a great idea for the game, I barely saw a game playing with the idea of scaling your view area for now. And this is something promising, please keep expanding (wink wink) the game further!
My single grievance is how the wall jump works. Mayhaps I'm too slow for this gig, but I failed again and again to progress due to (what I think is) very short timings for the jumps and direction switch. Have some pity towards not-so-hardcore platformer players :)
Really impressive. I've seen games that play with the viewport but anchoring one side of it and using it as a platform is quite new.
The soundscape is amazing. It gave me Fez vibes when I started the game. If you've doe the soundtrack for the game yourself, that's very impressive.
It's a bit hard to predict where the anchored side of the viewport will end up after shooting. Some sort of preview for the anchored side will be would be good.
The controls are tight but the wall jump timing is quite strict. There was a portion where you had to jump, lock the left side without moving too much and then do a long stretch of wall jumps. Some input buffer time on the wall jump would help here.
The visuals are very nice. Also Fez vibes here.
Overall , a great entry that deserves more ratings. Hope this gets more love!
I'm glad you caught what I was going for - Fez was definetly the biggest inspiration for this game with the visuals and music. I even listened to Disasterpeace while working on the game, haha!
The movement controller was definetly a hard thing to get right - it was the first time implementing wall jumping, so that's why it might seem a bit wonky in certain scenarios. I'm glad you had a positive experience overall, though! Thank you! 💖
Creativity wise it's a really good idea, art is also just really soothingpersonally I felt the levels are harder but would love to see it being worked on,
- with levels that get you practiced
- also you need to change the controls a little(IMO), like LMB for shooting artifact
This is a fantastic main mechanic. There's a lot of possibility to tap into here! This deserves more ratings - you did a wonderful job 😄
This is amazing! The gameplay is great, it's simple but challenging. The visuals and music are also top notch too. Excellent work. My only complaint is that it's missing gamepad controls.
When it said "press z to use the artifact," it looked like a 2, and I was so confused on why 2 wasn't doing anything.
Once I got past that, it was one of the best games of the jam! I'd love to see this on steam/switch with an expanded story.
