Cool game! The theme made me laugh :P

Cool game! Reminds me of slither.io. I liked the election theme, haha :)

I had a lot of bad ideas, but someone still got more than me... funny game, it sure reminds me of slither.io but of course the story is different and it has a nice upgrades system, interesting idea!

Nice game with a funny theme, what a coincidence the election is in November ^^

Developer(+1)

It's not a coincidence. In the US we aren't allowed to think about anything else until the election is over.

Then on November 6th we can finally start thinking about the 2028 election instead.

Yeah I know. It's all over the news even in Europe.

cool slither.io like game! enjoyed this game!

good comedy in the game. I also liked the upgrade mechanic

I would apprieciate a play & review of my game if you have the time.

Good snake-inspired game. Like the way you can upgrade different stats of the player but the wave seems way too long. Perhaps making the timer less will make it feel much better. Other than that, it is a clever stuff. Good job!

Good job!

Fun game. It's very much like slither.io, but the few added mechanics do help it to be a bit unique. Would be nice if you could fail from running into yourself though, making it so that the first couple "rounds" aren't completely safe.

I haven’t played slither.io so I thought it was really fun even though it sounds very similar. Very timely. I think it would be really fun to know what some of the bad and good thoughts are 😂

While I agree with others how it's reminiscent to slither.io, that speaks to me that you managed to replicate the mechanics properly which seemed to be your intention for this jam. And at the end of the day, it was still an enjoyable game :)

While I liked the additions of the electoral setting and the mechanics of avoiding certain objects, I wish there was more gameplay differences from Slither.io to make the experience more unique.

Interesting story haha especially with the elections right around the corner.  I thought the slither.io + rpg mechanics + story made the game seem unique in a way

Also, I am the composer for the game "Crescendo". It'd mean a lot if you could also check out our game, but don't have to lol.

Developer(+1)

Yeah, of course I'll check out your game.

Neat idea, the politics theming is an interesting way to interpret slither.io. Would have liked to see even more months introducing different mechanics, as the only new mechanic compared to slither.io was the ideas you're meant not to eat

Developer

Well, also the upgrades and the AI-controlled snakes. My original vision was more about min-maxing your position in the polls, but I toned that down because I didn't think it would appeal to people as much.

But yeah, for me game jams are about working on mechanics that are new-to-me, rather than trying to come up with completely original ideas. I was really interested in working on the mechanics of the snake, and that was what motivated me to give up an entire weekend making a game 6 people will play.

I don't think the tone of my first message came out right, I think your game is good! Was just trying to give some suggestions/feedback

is this just slither.io but rushed :v

Developer(+1)

Yeah, slither.io is what I was going for. I was really interested in working on the snake moving/growing mechanics. I spent too much time during development just toying around because I found the movement so satisfying.
