Such a fun game! really good concept!
Thanks for playing!
Very nice and fun! i remember seeing this in progress pics and was hoping it would be published ontime. Although there is a little bug where the player sometimes randomly gets stuck on a corner of a platform (a platform i hadnt even moved) but apart form that everything was great! i love the visuals
Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed the game!
You seem to be the first person to encounter that bug. I know ppl sometimes get stuck on a narrow gap between blocks, but not on a corner. I'd appreciate if you provide explanation or pics of this bug, thanks.
Amazingly enticing tone, style and mechanic. Really special!
Thank you for playing!
This is a really creative idea for a game, and very well executed! One of my favorite interpretations on the theme so far. I love the switch between the more realistic 3D and sketchy 2D worlds, it works together really well. Overall the style is fantastic! This idea has so much potential to become a full-length game, with room to expand upon the current mechanics of the game. It's also great when a game can explain itself without the need for a real tutorial, there was only one point when I felt confused and couldn't figure out why I couldn't move into the "dream" world (I think my character was overlapping with another block). Overall fantastic game, great job!
Thanks for playing and thanks for the comment. Shoutout to GGroys who directed the visual style of the game and single-handedly implemented it, it wouldn't be the same without his part.
We put a lot of game design thoughts into the game, I'm glad to see it works. And yes, you're not supposed to spawn inside of blocks - that part (and many others) lacks some visual cues. Thanks again, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Really love this idea, such a big fan of a real-world implementation of the theme.
Great style as well, really fit the implementation.
My only feedback is that the movement felt a bit stiff. In a game like this, character movement is really important - totally understandable that you didn't manage to get it done in a jam though.
Seriously, hats off for the idea, the way you implemented it and the execution.
Thanks for playing and thanks a lot for the feedback. I'm taking notes and I will try to keep improving!
I was going through the comments on my GMTK 2022 submission and saw that you commented on it and also submitted this year so I decided to check it out. LOL. Great Job! This is one of my favorite interpretations of the theme I've seen so far. Nice to see you're still making games. :D
Greetings jam brother! My plan is to never stop making games 😎 Thanks a lot for playing the game and for the comment!
Extremely creative and well done!
Thanks!
w, very original, I havn't seen such a good 3d gam in this game jam
Thank you! And thanks for the stream. I don't know french but you bring such a positive energy 🙂
Great concept, and well executed. There is plenty of room for extension.
Well done.
Thank you for playing our game and for giving your feedback!
Great mechanic. Really great mechanic. It's a shame the game was so small, There wasn't really enough time to fully explore it. But you've got something here. More mechanics required I think (which is the case with alot of jam games, I know for my project I had the same)
Thanks for the comment! Jam timing is quite limiting huh? :) I think we delivered almost maximum we could within the time limit, though of course there are so many more ideas on how it could be expanded. Thanks for playing!
Quite unique mechanic and well designed art, More toys( more mechanic ) and you guys may release it
Thank you!
Great game , loved the art stye and how it was true to the story
Thank you!
Combination of artstyle, music and interesting take on scaling is just perfect.
Some QoL features could be added, but this is a jam game after all.
5/5/5
Thank you! The best prize for me is to see people actually enjoying the game. I'm very glad you liked it!
This is a REALLY creative game. Wow, awesome job. Took me a second to understand, but I really enjoy this idea. I'd love a mario maker style sandbox mode where I could just create levels like this. So much fun. Well done! Thanks for making this
That'sa cool idea! Sandbox mode or even level editor can actually fit the game, I didn't think about that. Thanks for the idea, we might consider that
Задумка с конструированием реальности через тени очень необычна! Прошел игру с большим удовольствием. Уверен, что если бы она была побольше, то купил бы такую в Steam. Очень крутое инди!
Спасибо! Очень рад, что игра понравилась
I think it is the first game I found on this jam with such a creative idea! Very well, done!
Not really a big problem but would suggest some kind of introduction to get a feeling of how high can player jump. Because I didn't know that you can scale player up in the fist level. So it took me quite a while of going back and forth to find correct size boxes so player could jump on them.
Overall, it was amazing experience and art style made it even better!
Thanks for the comment! We had a plan to add tips to visualize which shadows can be jumped on, but didn't have enough time in the end. Also, you probably did it right, because player size mechanic appears in level 2. I'm glad you had fun playing the game!
I really like the sketch artstyle
The artstyle is nice and consistent
The music and sound effects are also nice, even if needs some balancing ("yeay!!")
The concept is really great, and in almost every puzzle you find new way to make use of it, which is reaaaaalllyyyy greeaaattt
Give me your stickmen for my game next time
Thank for the comment! And thank you for playing the game on stream. It really helps me as for game designer to see live emotions of a person playing, so I can understand if ideas I put into the game actually work. That was a great stream and a boost for my experience!
This is really clever and is an adorable game! Great job! Hopefully you get a lot more recognition.
Thank you!
The hand drawn style makes me feel like a child again. This game deserves more plays!
Thank you! That's the feeling we was going for!
I loved how it swaps between the 3D reality and the 2D drawn style imaginary world. The first time it happened I was genuinely taken aback haha. The positioning mechanic is also great, especially with how you only have a narrow strip of carpet to position the items - actually had to think about it. Well done :)
Thanks for the comment! I'm glad you noted the transition, it's an important part that does heavy lifting for both narrative and gameplay. We spent quite some time making sure it works well :) Thank you for the feedback!
