This is really well made, I love the artwork and the dice move mechanics, it is well balanced but also challenging. Great work.
Fantastic entry. The presentation was amazing overall. I managed to get to the final boss and died lol. I'm a little divided on how the mechanics work though since it depends heavily on randomisation and the dice. I'm not really a fan of having a random ability be chosen since it may not even be what I really need at that moment. Although, I love how re-rolling reduces the die amount. Though even this heavily depends on the amount rolled from the die initially.
I did manage to get till the final boss where I died lol. It's crazy how much content you packed in this. I also feel like the healers are a little too OP though. Overall though, this is a really good entry and it truly is incredible that you managed to get all this done in 2 days lol. Amazing work
I love the mechanics, it's fun :)
Amazing game. From music to graphics to idea. It's just amazing. Can't believe this has been made in 48 hours. Great work!
The concept is reaaaly cool, it's a clever twist on the turn based combat genre.
The only problem is those GOD DAMN self healing wizards, they're not a real threat but they are so annoying to kill... I find that the difficulty curve is really good, I managed to beat the boss on my first run but it was still challenging and fun!
The amount of work done here is incredible. Wow, amazing.
What a great game! Interesting idea and very easy to play. Super polished, respect!
Loved it. This one could be released as an actual title. Super fun and super easy to get in to the rhythm of things. Nice work!
Loved the game , nice idea and cool graphics , also the itch.io page is absolutely marvelous !
super impressive! I did discover an exploit though. You can change the result of your die-roll by quickly jumping a second time. It was surprisingly fun to risk an average roll for a higher but risk getting a one
Good game! I really liked the setting inspired by From Software games. Good music choice too :)
You can thank Retro Asobi for the music, he composed everything specifically for this game.
awesome game, the graphics, the sound, the gameplay, the gamedesign. wish it would be easier a little bit, but i can feel it isnt possible if there is "souls" in the name :D
I loved the presentation and got fond of the mechanics very quickly. Good job!
Really impressive for such a short development time! Great presentation and good gameplay. I especially like that you can reroll your effect, at the cost of its effectiveness - makes the combat more strategic.
Cool !
Great looking game and very well made. The intro was a real treat and the sound effects and art are superb as well. Those healers were definitely a bit of a slog to get through.
cool game, nice take on theme, kudos for successful submission under 48 hours but I think you didn't get lot of time to playtest here are some pointer and bugs I found :
Thanks for playing and for the bug report. There's lots of stuff I plan to fix after the jam!
How did you design border for your itch io page, that border with dice ? can you show me your settings ?
Oh, it's simple! When you edit the theme (the button right next to the PUBLISHED status), upload a background picture (under the IMAGES heading), set as Repeat: Both, Align: Center. The picture I used for the background is 2000 by 360 (as shown here). Feel free to use my image as a template.
Well done. I had some really bad luck when up against healers. Some fights took a while to finish.
Good entry! There's a bug where if you spam Z you can reroll your first dice twice.
Love the idea of rolling the strenght first, and then having the option to reroll the action at the cost of strength. Such a clever multipurpose mechanic.
amazing
