Interesting and creative mechanics! I just got a little lost on which skill is the next/previous one, but I think that's my brain's fault haha Good job!
My first impression of this game was that the title made me chuckle. Playing it, I found that the controls were appreciably difficult, and the levels equally so. Maybe a quicker cooldown on your moves would make the game a bit more balanced, as in certain environments I found it extremely hard to get past large stretches of spikes because I was unable to chain dashes and jumps quickly enough.
the cooldowns are forever, but refresh when you touch the ground
cool little game
i really like this, it was creative and fun.
The controlls was a bit hard, and the levels was challenging.
it got really hard really fast.
but again really greate to play
Very difficult, but i think a little more leeway on the spike hitboxes and slightly slower movement would let you string together some awesome combos and puzzles.
Really cool concept, but the difficulty curve was a bit extreme for me. I spent about 5minutes trying to get past the massive spike pit on the 3rd level. I'm not sure if I'm just bad, but it was really hard for me.
Other than that this is a great start for a cool puzzle platformer. Perhaps think about making the controls a little tighter and making the stages a little bit easier. I'd love to play more of this, if I was better.
Great work for 48 hours!
Intriuging! The theme usage tie in requires some suspension of belief here but I don't mind it, it looks like it inspired an interesting mechanic. I think some of your levels are not as "elegant" as they could be but I think that's a given for a game jam game. Some platform heights / collisions maybe could be tweaked a bit, but overall it was enjoyable to go through the levels.
It feels like the default canvas size on your itch io page is relatively small given the scale of the levels (?). I think my main critique would be that since the strength of the gameplay is more on the puzzle side rather than on the tight platforming execution side, overall the experience might be better if the gameplay is slowed down a bit (slower gravity) to allow for more lenient timing. I didn't find it too difficult, but again I personally just feel like difficulty in execution gets in the way of letting your interesting mechanic shine.
Cool idea, nice to see a platformer submitted to the jam. I like the ability switching mechanic.
It's quite hard, but in a good way I think. Figuring out the right order to use abilities in and then executing it is quite a head scratcher.
I got stuck for a while because I forgot you could go in either order, but after I got over that it was quite fun.
Cool theme interpretation! I had a lot of fun with the puzzle aspect. Very intuitive design too.
Woah! Love it! This is a very nice combination of a puzzler and a platformer! and also in a sense a step-by-step strategy since you need to plan almost everything before you do it!
Super simple idea, but executed really well and fully developed and fleshed out in level design. Great Job!
I know it's simple, but this may be my favorite interpretation of the theme and I think that's in part to how there's no randomness in this dice roll. The abilities all feel very useful and the level design compliments the strengths that they provide. Controls are a bit jittery in terms of movement and abilities instantly firing off so I think some delay or pause would do so much for the game feel and difficulty. I think this concept is genius and that with some polish could be such a fun unique game. Really enjoyed my time with this one
Crazy hard, but very rewarding when you can pull off a nice sequence of moves! I if you add some easier levels at the start, it has a lot of potential.
Pretty cool!
I never got the hang of the order of the moves, but the levels where you have a nice sequence and the player can get into a flow felt really good. The hit boxes for some of the spikes were a little too big, particularly when they were at the edge of a ledge and the player was jumping up from below.
+ nice idea for a puzzle platformer
+ level design suited for the abilities
+ helpful state visualization on top of the screen
-The 5 and 6 is not used at all. Also, 1 2 3 and 4 are not located on the dice as you present it
Got through a good number of levels before I just couldn't make the long hallway with the spike floor level. Enjoyable mechanic! There's something satisfying about clicking my mouse back and forth to use the different abilities. Some of the levels were kinda hard, in part I think because of how the character controls. But I liked it a lot, and I think the concept is good!
Wow! Really clever idea!!! It was pretty difficult going on after a couple levels, but the underlying idea was beautiful!
Well done!
Very cool platformer! I really enjoyed it. I got through about 6 or 7 levels I think, but got too frustrated haha, it's a very challenging game.
I love the core mechanic you did a great job.
My only feedback was that something feels a little off with the spikes. I feel like I am dying earlier than I should be. I think one of the main issue is the spikes killing you from the sides, which feels a little bit off.
Anyway great job, keep up the amazing work!
tysm! I agree w/ the feedback especially for one of the later levels very much, but ran out of time before I could fix that :(
I'm really glad you enjoyed the game!
Very cool, I like how you have to time and use your rolls at the correct moment. Well done!
