Artstyle is fantastic, gameplay is creative and not too frustrating, and the music is nice though it does get a bit repetitive in the end. The game is quite short, but for what it was, i really enjoyed it! I would have loved seeing more types of enemies and obstacles, as well as several new kind of die. Also, i would have liked knowing which dice were in my bag. Great job!

This is a really cool proof-of-concept and the presentation is top-notch. Right now, the gameplay feels a bit lackluster, though. Like, I can feel there's a great game in there, it just doesn't quite click with me yet.

I think I have two main gripes with this game:

1. The dicebuilding aspect doesn't feel relevant. The levels don't really seem to get a lot harder over time and I feel like you could probably currently easily complete the game with your starting dice. Which also means there's not much point in collecting gold.

2. The gameplay itself feels too dependent on the dice you roll. Yeah, sure, that's the theme of the game, but it just feels like it takes a bit too much control from the player.

I think for the first point, a steeper difficulty curve would help. For the second point, I'm not quite sure. Maybe try to play with dice values or something? Or maybe even small things like not having to land exactly on the level exit and having 2-tile wide passages would help, I don't know.

Also, minor point to note, teleport dice are not strictly better than movement dice, as you can't collect coins and the key on the way.

Anyway, I'd love to see where this concept could be taken with more time!

Great game but I did not expect to restart whole game after one death

First impression is really good. However I found the gameplay a bit frustrating, especially when you cannot get the correct dice. Maybe simply let the player to hold some dice can solve this problem a bit? Right now it feels like there's nothing to do except wandering around and waiting for the correct die.

But the quality of the game is really high and its still fun to play. Great job!

this is amazing!!!

This was great! I didn't even mean to play through the entire thing. But I got caught up just having a lot of fun. Both the game concept and presentation were amazing.

If I had to nitpick, I would say that some of the strategizing was weird. I never knew if me passing turns with unused dice was ever a bad idea. And I would always buy more dice, just to see what happened, but never thinking if it was worth it.

Aside from that, this game was great.  I'm a big fan of your work, and I think you made another winner!

Music, Sound, and Art all are professional.

Didn't really enjoy the gameplay all that much. I ended up spending several turns wandering in a circle around the ladder because I could not roll the dice I needed.

Seen this gameplay in a few other titles. I think Rogue Dice by Carson_23 (even has the same name as yours) slightly improves on the formula by not forcing you in one direction.

Overall, great presentation but I disliked the mechanics.

This is a very interesting take on the jam's topic. Unfortunately, the game didn't motivate me enough to collect coins or defeat enemies. I only did it if i rolled the right dice. I was able to complete the game with just one purchase in the shop. This is probably mainly due to the fact that the enemies can only move one tile at the time and there is only one enemie variant. I never had the case that the enemies tried to surround me. Nonetheless, I had a great time playing this game. Amazing job!

Great submission as always and an awesome prototype for a roguelike, love the movement mechanic and it's something you could easily expand upon.

I think one thing you could add would be a some form of turn limit for the puzzles, something to force the player to grab what they can and get out. At the moment you can clear out all of the ghosts and then it becomes trivial to get all of the coins.

Very innovative game design in the short time you made it in, very impressive.

Initially I was a bit confused about how to move the character. After that, everything made sense. Love the graphics and the sounds! The gameplay is also very good!

Amazing game! Had a lot of fun trying to figure out how to best use my dice to move around the level. I like how you expanded on the concept by involving enemies as moving obstacles, and well as the attack and teleport dice were great and unique additions. Stellar job!!
