Game Description
Rearrange flesh. Solve shape puzzles.
How does your game tie into the theme?
You slice and rearrange... something. Something that's alive, too. The main mechanic is literally about changing something from one shape into another. Metamorphosis

What a puzzle game! I really liked the "feel" of it - with that press going down every time you managed it. It got a bit tedious over time, but first few levels were very engaging.
The most irritating part was how hard it was to cut close to the metal - it kept saying that I couldn't cut the metal, while I knew it but was trying to cut as close as possible. Would be nice to have some approximator for this - to cut at the closest proximity when you slightly touch the metal. Although I sometimes felt you had this - I just fished the window for that was larger.
Fun little puzzle game with a darker ambiance and simplistic yet very interesting aesthetic! It felt just like a Gieger painting, flesh and metal intertwined like that! I couldn't get to the end because brain won't brain, but a very fun submission nonetheless! Nice entry!
Very unique concept, and I really appreciated that there was a progression in difficulty from level to level to keep things fresh and interesting! Make me use the ol' brain. Well done! Good luck with the jam!
This was a really good game but I was too stupid to finish it
There's a lot to like as others have touched on. I want to shout out the learning curve on this game; it's done really, really well. It's hard to teach players mechanics, especially in game jams, and the progression of puzzles does a fantastic job in teaching and introducing new twists but engaging the player without veering too easy or too frustrating -- it stays in the happy middle ground!
Radish: It has great "rough and rusty" atmosphere that I dig! And the end of puzzle press is so satisfying. I'd rather not think about implications of "flesh" and "metal" in this setting...
Squirrel: I found myself liking the act of flesh cutting...a bit too much...Original concept and great mechanics.
Really original idea, pt.3 was the hardest imo. Very technical and I started running into some bugs in the end with slicing, but nothing a reset couldn't fix. The sfx and music were great, but the music could have been slightly better. Congrats on making such a complete game!
The atmosphere is so cool and I love a puzzle game with an interesting theme. Really cool game!
Amazing game, but it's really hard to play on my mac because it doesn't stretch to fit the window.
The art and atmosphere are very cozy. Well done !
Got really into the puzzles. The mechanics were excellently tutorialised, but could've been a little more forgiving. The cutting controls are fiddly, and the slots could've used a couple pixels of leeway, especially since everything is tiny. Story-wise, cutting off meaty parts from metal was really evocative and creepy in just the way I like it.
Thank you! There is in fact a bit of leeway (though maybe not as much as there could've been!), I'm assuming what might be happening with everything being tiny is that you've played it on a screen much larger than mine, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong - screen sizes are a toughie, can't really test on bigger screens on account of not having them. Maybe my choice of stretch mode wasn't the best, but just stretching textures to fit a bigger screen can look... 'ew' to put it mildly, esp with the pixel art font and other pixel perfect assets. Next time I might just add a toggle (if I can) to let the player decide whether to make that sacrifice, definitely good to know that can be an issue
As for the rest, thank you very much for the praise, and I'm glad the vibe I was going for landed well and that you enjoyed the puzzles!
Wow, so good! I've been so excited to play this after seeing all your updates in the discord. Absolutely lived up to expectation. The level of polish is so high on this submission. Audio is great, visuals are super unique, and all the puzzles feel well designed and intentional. The end monologue was chilling. Great work!!!
It's fun to see ideas that are not about evolving animals 😅
Great game! Love the art style and music, slashing shapes feel fun and the machine instantly pressing on the working area when you fit the shapes properly is rewarding.
Would have been cool if there was a web build though :(
Great Puzzle game. The pixel art and sound design were fantastic, truly giving an oppressive aura that really worked.. This really reminded me of something like Iron Lung or those games made by Yames on itch (Discover My Body and Growing My Grandpa).
I loved it, such a great puzzle game that fits the theme. Got stuck on the last problem and could not find a solution but either way the problems are very neatly crafted.
im confused in a good way
