Fun and creative experience! 😊

Nice story in the game during gameplay. Power-ups are a bit strange indeed..check. Changing into fish or floating object for example were nice twists.

Controls worked good but some glitches like getting stuck with the fish in corners. The art style was cool and also the visual effects added to the ambiance, as did the music and SFX. Coherent style that fitted the gameplay. Camera shake nice addition. Sometimes a bit difficult, but it was a nice challenge to try to get further into the story.

All in all a good solid fun jam entry. Keep up the good work💪.

Developer

I’m flattered by the feedback, thank you so much for the kind words!

The fish bug was something I really anticipated, it was my first time trying to implement a mechanic with so many collision risks. In the end, despite all the effort, the bug still occurred haha.

I should have adjusted the collision mask of the power-up or placed it further from the edges. I'll be sure to pay attention to that next time

I dunno what to say but, i like how im not the only one who cooks up crazy ideas :D

This game is really sick and the fish's animation, very funny and enjoyable to watch. The fish did look like it was dancing XD

A very fun game and how you built it all to make it feel like an Undertale game really made me to praise this game very much. The music too indeed giving the vibes that an experiment is going on just like in undertale is just top notch.

I love this very much. Keep up the great work man

Developer

Haha, it seems we've found quite a few people with crazy ideas! I'm really glad you enjoyed the game, thank you for the feedback.

Being compared to Undertale is truly an honor. I draw a lot of inspiration from that game when it comes to storytelling, and I always like to incorporate a story into my games

I really enjoyed playing your game! The fish power-up in the first level was a cool idea, and turning into a fish to float in water felt unique. Facing the electric eel and unlocking the door added a nice challenge. The second level was tough, especially with the strong enemy when turning into the spaceship-like object—I'm currently stuck on that one!

Overall, the game has a perfect theme, and it’s really unique. I did notice a minor bug where the fish sometimes glitches when transitioning from water to the ground. But other than that, it’s a great game, and I had fun playing!

Also please use Good game poster. Your game really unique but not getting much attention.

Wow, what a wonderful feedback! I truly feel honored by so many compliments! I'm really glad you enjoyed the game. I apologize for the bug, even though I anticipated something like that, I couldn't fully prevent it.

Regarding the game's cover art, I wanted to create something more eye-catching, but I was quite exhausted after the other days. However, I will strive to make something better next time

the story, gameplay, art and music were top notch for me they well done as for the theme i believe its as simple as it can get . overall i had a blast playing it :D

Developer(+1)

I'm extremely glad you liked so many aspects! I believe the power-ups could have been a bit weirder, the original ideas were somewhat different, but time was really tight

Submitted(+1)

I liked the art and you did a great job with the theme! I did have some trouble getting in and out of the water as the fish and those electric fish kept killing me lol. Overall nice work!

Developer

I'm really glad you liked it! There were some bugs in the fish area because it was my first time trying something like that. But I'll definitely work on improving it next time! I apologize for that.

There's lots to love about this game. I think my favourite powerup was probably the floating ton ability. I found it really cool how you was able to use the floating mechanic to glide over to other areas of the map and then slam the enemies.

There were only 2 bugs that I discovered. One bug was in the fish area, when I transformed back I was in-between the water and the platform and became stuck. One other bug I had was that sometimes when I got hit, the entire screen would stay red for the rest of the game. Besides these couple bugs, the game felt and looked amazing to play.

I had a blast playing, great work!

Developer

This is great feedback; I really appreciate it. Thank you so much for playing, and I’m glad you enjoyed the game.

Unfortunately, the fish bug was due to the collision mask that I forgot to adjust. I only discovered that a day after the jam ended (and I had tested it countless times, and it only appeared afterward haha).

Did you manage to find the easter egg in the area with the floating ton?

As for the red screen bug, I honestly have no idea why it happened. I didn’t use any graphic effects that would cause the screen to be completely like that, only black. At what point in the game did it occur?

Submitted(+1)

Love the Screen shake, attacking has really nice feel to it specially with that SFX .

really fine choice of sound effects I must say that.

overall very fun game but for some reason fish was kind of fishy .

Really liked playing the game it is fun and enjoyable!

Keep up the good work!

Developer

I’m really glad you enjoyed the game so much and that you had fun!

It was my first time trying to implement such risky mechanics involving collision haha, and it worked well until a certain point.

Did you manage to find the easteregg?

Submitted(+1)

Very fun, love the graphics, especially the fish-swimming animation. I got stuck sometimes when transforming into a fish in a corner.

The sound effects are juicy! Especially the button to start the game.

Attacking felt really nice with the screenshake and sound effects.

I’m really happy with the feedback and that you enjoyed the game so much!

Unfortunately, the issue with the fish power-up was due to the collision mask that I forgot to modify before submitting the game.

I apologize for that, and I hope it didn’t significantly impact your experience.

Submitted(+1)

I really like you game, but the bugs! Argghhh!

Because, other than that it's really interesting. Intriguing even! But I got stuck on the  button on the right of the first room four times before I got out!

Developer

I’m glad you enjoyed the game, despite the bugs that occurred. I apologize for that.

I tested it countless times, and it didn’t happen, but a day after the jam, I noticed that error, I forgot to modify the collision mask of the power-up

Submitted(+1)

Oh wow this is really great! The power-ups are indeed fit the theme and I loved how they were given meanings to in the end. Kinda struggled to understand how to beat the second location at first (because i accidentaly broke the wooden sign and forgot about it for quite some time lol) but once I got it I was like "Oooooh!". This was also why later I payed attention to an already broken sign and found a secret I think? Which has also praised my player ego sjksjskjskj. The fighting system is smooth and the camera-shaking adds a lot to the overall game feel. Great game!!

Developer(+1)

Wow, that was truly great feedback! It fills me with joy to know that you enjoyed the game so much.

And yes, take pride, you found the easteregg haha! It’s a reference to our mustached friend from Nintendo, which is why there’s a joke about the lawsuit.

You’re the first person to comment on it, you really paid attention to every detail, and I’m glad that helped you uncover the secret!

I liked the art, sound and ambience ! But i had a problem : i played with an AZERTY keyboard, and it's very hard to move with wasd... I hope you'll fix it !!

Despite this, the game looks very nice :)

Developer

I sincerely apologize for that, I truly had no idea this type of keyboard existed. Thank you for sharing the information, I’ll be more mindful next time, as I want to include as many players as possible.

I’m very glad that despite the unforeseen issue, you had a good impression of the game.

Awesome game, I played till the end! Mechanics were fun to play with. Even with the simple art style the tone was set quite nicely. Well done!

Developer

Thank you so much for the feedback! I'm really glad you enjoyed the game! I hope you had fun.

Did you manage to find the easteregg?

Submitted(+1)

I love this! Havent play far but Ill continue to play. I especially love the atmosphere you built with the letter... The music u chose is fitting - although I always prefer original music.

I like the mechanic and again, the atmosphere is so great!  It's so great, you are really talented when it comes to setting the scene. I want to know what happened now.... cant stop playing... AAHHHHHHH!

Awesome job!!!!!

Developer

I'm really glad you liked it so much, that truly excites me! I sincerely hope the rest of the game leaves you just as enthusiastic and turns into a satisfying experience!

I'm flattered by the compliment regarding the atmosphere, it's something I always try to incorporate into my games, and it's great to know I succeeded in this one.

As for the music, unfortunately, I'm a complete beginner in that area, as I mentioned haha. However, I plan to learn composition and music theory soon so I can create my own.
