How does your game fit the theme?
We've assosiated strange power-ups with mutations that the character can collect. Usually power-ups are considered something good, but we decided to make them rather chaotic and not always beneficial to the player.

The game was really fun, i played for like 15 minutes and i could barley last for more then 20 seconds. But the visuals were really cute and so were the sound effects.
This was chaos crammed into a game😊! In a fun way...
But it was fun to play despite all the chaos and all the colors and things happening around you. The power-ups are certainly strange... check! Controls were wonky, but that was part of the game😊, and I jumped and bounced like crazy through the rooms. Made me smile 😊!
Graphically colorful, cheerful, and cute. The music was also okay, and the sound effects fit well.
All in all, a chaotic, fun, and enjoyable entry. Nice.💪

one of the most visually appealing games i have played in this jam. movement was janky/chaotic but i believe its intentional :D how the theme was used was also pretty cool

I really liked the concept used, even the story behind everything (it seems like more people around here enjoy experiments).
The art is simply amazing, beautiful, magnificent, truly lovely. I really appreciated how everything was planned out. When I saw the main menu, I admired it for quite a while, looking at the details.
The game is really fun, and it was fascinating to see what each power did and how it modified ourselves or the environment around us, it’s an extremely interesting concept.

this is one of those game when you think you can master and understand after some time but you are reminded again and again that you know nothing about it. the mechanics were super creative and i like how they all combined together . the gene bar added so much to the game. without it i would just try to play it normally but no you insurged it to be so chaotic and i absolutely love it. the visuals were very pleasing as well. incredible work i managed to get to level 30 and gave up on trying to ascend higher.

my dad asked about other games here so i showed him this and some how accidently managed to get to 69 rooms. at like room 50 the are so many powerups everywhere holy...
I liked the game. I couldn't pass romm 5 I think for quite a bit, whith a lot of tries. And then I closed the game and reopen it just after, and I was on room 11 first try. Chaotic, but really fun, and I liked to see all the strange power-ups
Yeah, the room and the genes are random to some degree, so it may take a few tries before you get your "lucky" run, hahah. Thank you for playing!

Love this game! I played for a while and got through 85 rooms with 135 genes collected. I loved the graphics and the way the character bounced around the screen. It was a little hard to control, but once I got the hang of it and knew how to use the different mutations, the game was a lot easier. The different moving platforms and bubble-platforms were also a lot of fun.
Also, very clean menu with great graphics too :)

Very nice art style and there even is some story behind. The game can get very chaotic which sometimes is a lot of fun and sometimes a bit hard because of the controls (especially if you jump into mutliple of them fast haha). Still overall it's a very solid game, nice work!

Fun game to play around with idk how you got so far but I just got to room 7 haha. Controls are very hard to mentain and it felt like if you didn't had the wings or any body upgrade you can't make it far haha.
Overall everything was good visuals, sounds and music! Well done both of you
Thank you! Yeah, the game gets a bit challenging when you have no genes although we tried to adapt every room to be possible enough to go through with or without genes (may have missed smth tho)
Also yes, sometimes it takes a few retries even for us before the run starts to go smoothly. So 7 rooms is already good enough sksjkssks

I have no idea how to control the character but it was chaotic and fun! The art especially the title and game over screens were really well done.

Really enjoyed the strange power-ups in this one—it fits the theme perfectly! The neon, black, and white atmosphere when using power-ups is a great touch. The gameplay felt a bit complex at first, but it became more intuitive the longer I played. The frustration of falling down rather than dying adds an extra layer of challenge, which I ended up liking. Found no bugs—great work!
