Interesting game! I managed to solve it after figuring out the tags, and I liked rotating around doctors in order to clear obstacles or shoot the bugs. I'm not quite sure what the other items did. I would have liked it if the game had a skip text button, or faster dialogue. Good stuff
Thank you for playing and congratulations on winning! My girlfriend said the same thing about skipping text so that’s definitely coming in a post-jam version. The idea behind the other clues is that they detail the job of the infected villagers but I realized upon playing again that its not clear. Thank you for your feedback!
Not bad, took me a few tries to figure out what the items & tags are supposed to mean.
I don't quite understand what Monroe actually does, since I'm pretty sure I talked to everyone and he didn't "out" anyone.
Monroe "transformed" into Sanders and Archer basically every playthrough when I still bothered to change them often, maybe that's why he didn't do his job?
I never really needed to rotate the doctors and when the gameplay clicked for me, I managed to complete the game with Sanders only. I suppose faster health loss would help force players into this?
Lots of quest-y stuff crammed into a 48hr game jam, so that's pretty cool! :)
Really Unique game! Especially for a game jam!
I don't know if I really understood it, took me a couple of tries but I killed one person randomly cause they didn't say anything and I thought they looked sussy, and then a couple people said the same person so I just killed her. I changed to sanders when I started that try and never changed again.
Feels like there's more going on under the hood, but I accidentally kill villagers and get arrested when the bugs attack villagers :(
Sick game but! get it, cause there's two... sick people... haha
This game was ok. I liked how you used the rotation theme, as switching between different characters was a nice change of pace. The art was ok, but it was really hard to tell who was infected and who wasn't. In fact, I kept losing because I kept killing the wrong person. It also didn't help that everyone kept accusing each other of being infected, which made trying to find the true infected even harder. I think if you added a way to track clues from the NPCs in game, or highlighted key points of the map when a location is mentioned, it would make the process of finding the infected a lot easier.
Cool game where you rotate between 3 characters to kill the bug. Very smart choice to randomly pick 2 villagers as bugs. The mood and ambient are well done too. Although when I shoot, I find the bullet too small to see which I worry that I might accidentally shot an innocent by mistake.
Really original take on the theme (and in general). Well done. I had a hard time figuring out some of the stuff, but that's probably just me. Loved the rain effect. I think the "blight indicator" is too dim sometimes.
Pretty good depth, especially for a jam game. It took me a while and I imagine a lot of people in the jam would try to rush through, but I enjoyed it. I don't really want to spoil it, but there is one cool way to figure out how game reveals culprits. Use of assets is great, the only thing is that I did not really need multiple doctors.
Original idea, the rotation is part of the gameplay, it's not just rotating to rotate, you have to do it to win the game. For that kind of game that's a neat implication of the theme!
My only (small) complain would be for azerty users like me, I don't know how hard it is for you to make the arrow works as the base movement. I know the E key would be far but I prefer this than changing my layout or doing some weird movement with my fingers haha.
Not a real problem but if the next jam you can have it too, people like me would be happy I guess :D.
Really solid game! You packed a lot into such a small space (and time); well done :)
This made me think of Tarantino's Hateful 8. You were very audacious on the scope. Solid Entry.
