Great game, loved the dialogue boxes and see through walls!
Thanks ClawBoomGames!
I love the art style and sound design in this game. My only nitpick is that I hope that clicking the next button can skip the typewriter effect instead of going to the next dialogue.
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, I’m definitely going to be implementing that in the next version. Thanks for playing!
Clean art, fitting music, interesting approach to the theme. Also it's rare to see a point&click adventure game on a jam :)
Sadly I think I got a bug, because I stuffed my Inventory with all sandwitchases and couldn't get any other items, like rat poison. But it's a jam, this stuff happens.
However, very nice entry :)
Thanks! And yeah I’ve been hearing about that inventory bug. Thanks for playing!
Had a lot of fun playing was a nice artstyle and had to play a couple times well done for the submission
Thanks iArctic!
Nice game, nice job adding different endings, it was a nice little experience!
Thanks so much shadowgoat!
I liked a lot, when i realize that were multiple endings, i play it a few more times to unlock all haha. Really nice game!
Thanks so much pachoncito! Glad you enjoyed it! :)
A fun little quaint game that really puts your morals in question lol
Haha! This is true. Thanks Lucas!
Unique take on the theme. The visuals and audio is nice to look/listen at/to. It is enjoyable to talk to the people there, since they have their own simple personalities.
Some things I think would improve the game.
- The vending machine should have texts attached to the food to show what they are, since I found myself clicking all the stuff to check the name.
- More ambience (sounds like typing talking)
- When the inventory is full, you could still get an item that you couldn't reach. So, that's a bug that should be fixed.
- When skipping text, you should see the complete text first before clicking again to skip.
Overall, a great game. Especially on the art and audio part.
Thanks blue_peanuts! And yes, I’ll definitely be addressing those bugs. Thanks for playing!
I liked the art style and the way the you connected the game to the theme its amazing
Thanks DefaultMannequin!
Hi, im the developer for https://itch.io/jam/lost-relic-games-1/rate/1580606
I managed to finish the game with a neutral ending haha.
What I liked
What would be great
Overall, well done !
Thanks napmi! Yes! A bigger office for sure, and I definitely want to add npc murmur sounds.
I love this so much haha!
Genuinely this was such a strange quirky and fun game to play! I just want more! More interactions between the coworkers, more things to do, more sandwiches!
Genuinely not a single criticism to give from me, I didn't run into a single bug or had any issue with the game.
Well done friend! :D
Thanks so much RTDMFN! Glad you liked it! :)
I absolutely admire this game I completed with all 3 endings, it was so much funnnn. the audio was so great and it wasn't to loud it was just perfect I really like the cut scenes and unlike a lot of the other games I've rated you explained your theme clearly at the beginning and kept it though out. I also loved the different dialogues and the fact there were multiple edgings.
A couple bits of constructive feedback however, There was a inventory bug where it would let you take things but if your inventory was full they would vanish, for example on my first run I bought all the sandwiches and then tried to buy the voucher but it said I did but because my inventory was full i didn't get it and couldn't buy it again. another thing was that the status bar at the bottom right was always making me do random things and talk to random people if I was to close to something.
apart from those minor set backs I think this game is exceptional and I cant wait to see more.
Thanks so much Yorkie_Barz! Good to know about that inventory bug, I will definitely look into that. Thanks for playing!
Great job, looks like you have put some crazy amount of hours into building this! The music and art style especially grabbed my attention. Nice to find a fellow Thomas Brush student :) All the best with your submission!
Thanks rotub! And likewise!
I really loved the music, the artstyle is fitting, and for the short amount of time, is really impressive you pulled this off. I spent a lenghty amount of time playing it and i loved the silly vibe of the overall game. Truly great
Thanks so much Andre!
I got the neutral ending. The game is fun and somehow keeps you immersed in the simple story, I liked it! The artstyle is amazing and the SFX are very good as well.
The text skipping to the next bubble and clicking in the inventory while near a character makes you interact with the character as well, or with whatever the character is close feels a bit clunky, but other than that I loved the game. Good job!
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, I’ll definitely need to address those points for sure. Thanks for playing!
I got the good ending! The fact there are 3 is amazing. The amount of polish in this game is unreal, its really good! The music fits so nicely too.
There is one annoying bug, if I click any of the on screen buttons (like inventory or status) while near someone it starts the conversation, so I had to move around to access those. Maybe mapped those to a Button instead would fix it.
In any case, great game! I really enjoyed it :)
Thanks so much! And yeah, I hear that. Mapping to different buttons is a good idea for sure! Thanks for playing!
The premise of this game is pretty hilarious, but there's one fatal flaw, and that is that clicking before a text bubble has finished rendering immediately skips to the next text bubble. Most games like this follow the convention of a single click or key press quickly rendering the remaining text, giving the player the opportunity to read faster than the default rendering speed. As it stands, the text appears way too slowly, and there was no way to make it faster without skipping valuable information, which is obviously not good in a story-based game. Otherwise, I really like how the game pokes fun at office politics, and could see this being fleshed out into a long-running video game equivalent of The Office, lol.
Yo! That’s excellent feedback! Would you believe at one point the text was even a bit slower? 😆 Really great idea to have the rest fill in on click. I’ll definitely need to implement that in the next iteration. Thanks for playing!
A nice game! UKW I'd like to believe my other game THE INTERNSHIP is set in the same corporation as yours lol! But how do I give the sandwich to the CEO?
Thanks n.s.chaitanya! And that’s awesome! I’ll have to check out your INTERNSHIP game!
As for the sandwich, did you have it equipped? You can click on the items in your inventory to equip them and people should respond accordingly. Hope that helps!
yup!
Neat game
Thanks s-p-n! Would love to hear any feedback you might have on the game if you get the chance! I’ll also add your game to my list to check out! Cheers! :)
Cool!!! nice entry!
Thanks Woomek! Would love to hear any thoughts you might have on the game if you get the chance! I’ll also add your game to my list to check out! Cheers! :)
