Message from the artist
EASTER EGGS =)

The name of the game is the name of the planet where the story begins, and it contains several easter eggs:
1. The word "entiox" is an anagram of "no exit", implying the absence of any positive ending. The letters can also be rearranged into "toxine", which is the reason why the Master can communicate with the main character telepathically;
2. The number "22" is a reference to "catch-22", meaning a dead end or a no win situation.

The numerical cypher underneath the name stands for "no escape" and also is the planet's location.

Theme

Inside my world

How does it fit the theme?
Our character is a space traveller whose ship got damaged after collising with a cloud of space trash. Trying to avoid more serious damage the character got under the influence of some unknown planet's gravity resulting in the ship's system shutdown and a rough landing on the planet.

Believing that the techincal issues were caused by the collision with the space trash cloud, the character decides to go out to the planet's surface. The natural landscapes here are stunning, but our character has no time for tourism hoping to get back on the route as fast as possible.
Damage evaluation reveals that the ship needs some minor repairment, but the tricky part is that the character has to find certain resources for it exploring the unknown planet.
Following the path, the character keeps finding the needed items, but the night comes fast. Considering the risks and the absence of knowledge about the planet, the character decides to spend the nighr by the campfire, although the cozy evening turns into a violent acid thunderstorm causing even more damage to the traveller's ship and space suite. Luckily the cave nearby becomes a safe harbour in this hurricane.

The disaster is wilding the while night and the next morning our character faces its excruciating consequences. A wave of hopelessness and homesickness falls on him, but he shakes it off and looks around the cave finding more useful items.

The character doesn't know the damaged suite doesn't protect him from the planet's toxic dust anymore. Influenced by the toxine, the character hears a voice welcoming him to the planet and promicing to lead him to the village where locals will help him repair the ship. Sturtled by such a turn of events, the character has no choice but to follow the voice's lead.

Soon the character arrives in the local village. The place seems friendly and everyone there is working hard growing food and taking care of the domesticated animals, but something is off. All the locals are of different race as if they are some kind of refugees from other planets, but somehow there are no kids. Having talked to some locals the character finds out about the so called Master who is some kind of a god on the planet, and the village works hard preparing offerings for this entity in exchange for protection from dangerous space invaders. They believe the Master is kind and almighty so they will send their kind assistance and repair the traveller's ship for him to go back home.
But to talk to the Master our character needs to prepare an offering first.
When he finally makes it there he finds himself in an enormously spacious yet dark and humid cave.
The Master absolutely doesn't seem to be kind and friendly to our character, instead the entity poses a threat to the character's life. Fighting against much stronger creature than he is, the character hears the omnious voice in his head say:
"welcome to my planet, stranger! this is the place where you will be safe forever!.."
The Master destroys the character's memory and he becomes just another local from the village with no chance to be saved.
In the final moments of the game the gamers hear the sound of another space ship crashing onto the planet Entiox-22* surface...

Really well put together OST front to back. The mix and production are very clean throughout. Every note on the piano that's played has an intent and great dynamics to keep the listener interested in each piece. The vocals used added to the intrigue this project creates as you continue to listen.

The standout tracks for me are Menu, Storm, Consequences, and Path Continues.

The only thing I would say is that the piano being the main instrument in each piece got a bit boring as I continued listening to the project. I was hoping for maybe some percussion like you had in the Menu theme, a different instrument taking the reigns as the main instrument in a few songs, or a mix of the two. Each piece was still well put together on its own but back to back it left me hoping for something significant to change in the way a couple of songs were approached to make these songs distinct from one another.

Overall, this was a really good body of work, I would just say to not be afraid to experiment with more instruments for these pieces as I think it would make it easier for these songs to be distinct from one another.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for such open commentary and fair critique! Lack of instruments and percussion elements here resulted by lack of time and number of tracks. We`re gonna finish that album after jam, with fuller arrangements =)

Wow, really cool story! The atmosphere you created helped share the emotions your story has perfectly, I listened to this without the context of the story and reading it back I felt like i really understood what you were going for, the constant slow build of tension to match the more disturbing aspects of the story. The inclusion of voice lines was very cool to help illustrate your story as well! This was really an excellent submission, great work.

Developer(+1)

Thanks for your comment! Its great to hear that music tells story by itself)

Very impressive entry! The first track is such a strong opener with those fantastic vocals. Sets the mood so well. AAAAAAAaaaaahhh Voice 1 was a shock! Reminded me of listening to a Doom Soundtrack at that moment. And wow, what a huge amount of work. Great job. Thanks for sharing.

As someone else said here, very tragic. It feels very emotional and really has a strong sense of loneliness. I really think the music here would make me empathize with the main character quite a bit and because of that I think this is very successful. Well done!

Developer

Thank for your comment! I appreciate it and glad that you feel those emotions)

A very tragic story, with music that suits it. The vocals were excellent and the music engaging.

Very impressive, I liked the attempt at providing voice tracks to further the story. Consistent sound and instrumentation drives the dramatic feel. Pretty good!

Developer

Thanks a lot! Storytelling was a main goal in writing these album, glad it worked out =)

Wow this is super cool! I love the vocals, is that you? Very Dune and Kevin Penkin, Sounds great! Really solid sci fi combo of synths and orchestra that's executed well! If I had to nitpick I do with there was sometimes more reverb on instruments to smooth out the dry libraries but that's very minor.

I'm very impressed you were able to submit so many tracks in such a short time! This was a very fun and creative entry, thanks for sharing!

Developer

Thanks for the critique. Yep, there are bunch of moments to fix) About vocal - no, not me, but my band member)

Appreciate you feedback)

Highly evocative. This OST truly portrays the story of the game!

Very interesting melodic ideas. I particularly enjoyed the subtle atmospheres you create very carefully (eg Journey Begins).

Amazing job!!

Developer

Thank you so much) Tried to convey the history and atmosphere of the world as much as possible. It seems to have succeeded )

Okay first, I'm a sucker for sci-fi. Second I'm a sucker for Hans Zimmer. What a ridiculous submission it's insane.

I'm amazed you were able to achieve something that good. Every track has amazing highlights. Would you please please please tell me which Vocal VST you are using? I actually got up of my chair and flapping my hands in the air, ridiculous during Storm, that note was SO DAMN SATISFYING.

You should have way more than 7 ratings, please do yourself a favor and go rate others to gain visibility. You're one of the winners for me!

Please let me know if you plan on selling this submission, I would gladly shell out a few bucks to burn it on Vinyl!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thank you so much! And there is no vocal VST`s there, voice recorded personally)

And yes, we are currently plan to finalize this album and officially release it =)
Very appreciate you comment!)

14 tracks? Wonderful! I love long stories!

1. Menu - the very first track, and already I'm getting goosebumps.... (They haunted me throughout the whole composition

2. Spaceship Crash - Powerful, threatening. You perfectly conveyed the fall!

3. Unknown Planet - Sad and mysterious at the same time

4. Journey Begins - Oh yes! The adventure begins! (And I already loved these tracks. Lol).

5. Evening Rest - The hero is resting..... Have a good time!

6. Storm - God... The sound effects are amazing and frightening! And the transition at 0:30 to more aggressive archestration sets the tone of the track well

7. Consequences - This voice makes me sad.... (MAMAAAAA)

8. Voice 1 - Oh... I love it when people record a voice for their soundtrack! (I did that too).

9. Path Continues - Interesting aftertaste after Voice 1.

10. Memories - I don't know why, but this track gives the feeling that the hero remembers that he needs to get off this planet. That he has a home somewhere out there that he misses

11. Strange Settlement - The atmosphere that everyone is talking about the hero, whispering.... Cool! I love this effect in soundtracks!

12. Voice 2 - Master invites you to visit...

13. Way To The Being - beautiful melody (Do I even need to say it? All tracks are beautiful!).

14. The End Of One More Path - Welcome..

Why does this work have so few ratings? This soundtrack is beautiful!

In conclusion, I would like to say that you have a solid and interesting story! Cool concept! Your soundtrack would fit perfectly into the game. It's so sensual and suitable for accompanying the game (And for a separate listen too)

P.S. I would love to play a game like this....

Thank you so much to put this effort to comment all of the tracks! Really appreciate it! Glad you liked it)
