  • This entry is fantastic in my opinion, an excellent example of what you could do with a fuller length title. The only real recommendation i could give is -more-, the light mechanics is awesome and i like crafting the power ups. Could be evolved in a few ways like choosing which power up to make first, or more mechanics with the lamp. Good working document in the GDD. the alchemy part of the theme could be a SMIDGE more prominent, but otherwise excellent!
  • Interesting game mechanic with the light. I enjoy the game!
  • Very good GDD, I loved seeing the whole design process. Very cool! The ideas and foundations link very nicely to the game jam, and the underlying themes are mysterious & magical with an awesome soundtrack! Thoroughly enjoyed my little play through. Feedback: Implement a training section to the functionality behind the game. (How you move, what the lanterns do, how you get the different jumps to show etc) Add item descriptions to the items in crafting window and inventory The rest of the game is nicely laid out and thought out, please keep going with this. I would be very interested to see how you implement new items and upgrades to the movement and alchemy :)

It's an incredible game, especially given it was made in 2 weeks and is still extremely polished. The art, level design and feel of the game are top-notch.

Dang this game is really cool! Awesome job!

after playing and finishing it, this is what i have to say:

I like the art, and the mechanics are cool and well integrated

I personally don't like the walking acceleration and the automatic attaching to walls and I wish that you could change the keyboard controls because some of them made it very difficult for me to get past certain obstacles

Really amazing game. I swore a lot I also screamed a bunch. Great platforming puzzles and the wolves were all up in my business the whole time which was super suspenseful and I loved that.

Also I played that for an HOUR? I did not notice that time go by and that's on you. Amazing job ;D <3

Incredible lighting and art. The primary mechanic is super fun and intuitive. Platforming handles really nicely, too. Astonishing how polished this is!

Amazing game! Well done

This is super dope. Honestly the only comment I have is that it needs some story, but it seems like you already have a theme and everything laid out so I imagine that will come fairly easily. The mechanics that you have so far are extremely well executed and the level planning is gorgeous. Difficult, but possible. Very well done!

I love everything about this game. It's fun to play. The controls are tight. The music and sound effects are great and make sense. I can feel the inspiration from games like Celste and Animal Well. Awesome.

This was amazing.

This game is incredible! I want to play more!! The mechanics are great, the art is inceredible and the sfx are espectacular! This feels like a full game! I would love to play more levels. The puzzles and the difficulty are perfect! Everything is fantastic. Congrats, I love it!

This doesn't feel like a prototype, this is a fully fleshed out game. Everything blends together so well, the artstyle, the environment, the animations, the music and sfx, the abilities, the level design. The little ingredient at the unreachable spot to hint that there will be a way to get there later, the fact that rooms for backtracking play both ways with the newly acquired ability, everything is SO well done.

The only thing hinting at the fact it's a prototype is the pacing, you get both the upgrades fairly quickly, in a full game that would probably take longer. Other than that? Just wow, I'm out of words, I can't pinpoint to a single thing that I disliked about this.

Ok maybe make the respawn timer a teeny tiny bit shorter..

Really well thought game, love the style a lot!

This is so awesome! Great job on the art and the gameplay. Very addictive!

This is so impressive! I can't believe this was made in time for the jam. The art is wonderful, reminds me of animal well :)

Amazing work. This is definitely almost perfect. I had a little difficulty in timing the jump, but I still managed to finish the game.
