If you have implemented the modifier, how have you done so?
lots of sound effects and at least 3 of them are screaming

, also horrible music

This game is so SBIG!

I really like the core gameplay loop, of going to fish and using your earnings to upgrade. The fishing mini-game is pretty fun. Early on it feels a lot like the game generals, were there are slow turns and either you plan ahead  (and risk something coming up) or play it turn by turn.  I feel like it fundamentally changes as soon as the hook is faster than the fish: at that point the fishing minigame is infinitely easier.

While the gameplay loop was quite slow at times, I did like how you could upgrade your ship many times ( if only  Wind Waker  had that feature 😓) By the end of the game I was a lean mean sailing machine! (but with no sails somehow)

The opening and closing cutscene was great! I cried then rejoiced at the ending. 10/10

Overall a very fine game! Thanks for taking part in the jam!

I absolutely love the visual style, sound design, and and overall presentation of this game, and it feels so perfect for SBIG Jam. The weird, backwards parallax sky is a particular highlight.

The humour, to be honest, didn't land for me personally- in particular the sarcastic "you suck" after losing the fishing minigame just made me not want to play- but I think others will love it.

There's quite a bit of game here, and despite (or perhaps because of) the frustration factor I think you could amuse yourself for a good while, but I think ultimately its length will work against it. I'm not even sure how to get to the boss lobsters, and getting all the upgrades feels like it's  going to take forever. I'm speculating, though, because I didn't have time to play more than a few minutes.

WOW what a tour de force of "so bad its good"-ness!

This was one of my favourite entries this year, the graphics, sound, cutscenes and world ooze SBIG energy. The player character design is also incredibly cute, it's like a Smiling Friends background creature.

My only real complaint is just how LONG the game can be, and how little tutorializing there is. It took me a while just to figure out the proper gameplay loop to actually progress, so I spent a fair bit of time trying to dodge everything in the fishing minigame and trying to race to the bottom.

Once I did figure it out, the game became much more interesting, and flying around the islands in my super fast boat with highly responsive fishing hook handling felt great!

Also I liked seeing Gordon Freeman outside the boundary.

Excellent work!

11/10 game. Take your crown, king

Awful, but incredible.

Frustrating, but also relaxing

Played for too long, but also not long enough

This is perfection. 7 / -5 stars

I loved the aesthetics of the game and also the sound effects. I had a little difficulty understanding the objective and movement when fishing, but then I managed to enjoy it! Congratsss!

that was a pretty nice game.

the start was a bit of a slog (took a while for things to get going with the fishing and the collection upgrades), but by the end it became pretty enjoyable.

Right off the bat I can spot a fellow fish game jam veteran when I see one. We're making it outta itch with this one.

Somehow this game fails to deliver on the most important grade for this jam's voting - it isn't BAD.
It's hella good. I was hypnotized by all the colors and cute little details in the world (it even has an easter egg for the TRUE video game classics connoisseurs). The only excessive thing about the sound design is the porno moan when you fail at fishing - that wasn't necessary you guys.

Game mechanics are advance - with upgrades and a neat core gameplay mini-game, speaking of which - this shit is challenging - for real, that is a game for someone who can take a punch in the gut or a pinch on the balls. If you're gonna play it don't sleep on the upgrades - especially the last one (fishing sluggishness).

Believe me, the ending is worth it. This narrative genius changed my outlook on life.

Honey wake up they've made Deadliest Catch into a videogame. Oh, wait....

This is the kind of gems I expected for the SBIG jam

10/10 game, love the art style and audio. especially when the boat crashes into an island

Wrong island, Loofy!

I collected 3 lobsters, and final cutscene absolutely worth it. Also I want camera zoom upgrade. Game is awesome, my theory is that dad "fucking died" in the end because of colors. This is goat(lobster)

Erm, SPOILER ALERT

This is a world where fish make fishing hooks explode and the only things you can actually fish are shells.

As someone who had only fished about twice in my entire life, I can confirm it's actually pretty accurate and realistic <u<

Also nice music ðŸŽµ
