How does your game meet GBJam's theme?
In Creepy Crows you play as a scarecrow collecting ghost seed to plant and harvest cursed crops, all while defending your sprouts from a murder of annoying crows

Looking forward to play this with music, eventually. This is a very solid start!

neat game. although the lack of audio makes the game feel  kinda empty. the gameplay and graphics makes up for it

Controls are great, I like the mix of having to plant and defend , and I liked it to be an action game with different movements. It was a bit chaotic how to defeat the crows but in general was enjoyable to play. Love the day/night color cycle and the palettes you selected. I also missed having some sound effects and/or bg music.

Solid gameplay loop and visuals on this entry! The art style is probably the games strongest suit. The lack of audio knocks it down a couple points though.

Developer

Thanks!

Audio, unfortunately, is usually the first thing I drop when I recognize I've over scoped the game... But I'm slowly composing something for the full version.

This is really incredible,  the movement feels great, way better than I’d expect from a jam platformer, the concept is SO good, and the art is perfection.  This get super high ratings from me across the board, well done!

Hey, thank you so much.

I've managed to implement coyote time, jump buffer, "head bump avoidance" and the "megaman jump" (the one that is cut short if you release the button earlier).  I feel that this kind of thing really improves platforming around.

Here's a video for reference, but I suspect you're already familiar with all that:

So far, my favorite game of the Jam. A beautiful game with creative and fun gameplay. I really liked the idea, the day and night cycle, and a great choice of color palette, especially switching the palette to show day/night.

I only encountered a bug where I managed to jump out of the scene, but other than that, I found it to be one of the most well-polished games of the Jam. Congratulations!!! The character design is beautiful.

Developer

Hey, thanks! I'm glad you like it.

I've fixed some of the problems with the map, balance (less crows and a way to heal during the night) and tweaked the tutorial. Hopefully it plays a little better now.

Aaah! É BR!

Bora!

Poooo aí sim, bom demais ver Br fazendo jogo brabo. Como disse, até o momento o meu jogo favorito da Jam. Tudo flui muito bem e a arte é linda demais

How do I play it? I glitched out of level right after tutorial.

Developer

Oh no!

For now, don't jump out of the right side of the tutorial map.

You'll beat the level when you harvest the third plant.

Simple but fun concept and fun to play, it is a shame there's no sfx or music, it does make for an empty feeling atmosphere, but the art and animations are Top notch!

Developer(+1)

Thanks!

Yeah... leaving the game completely mute was a painful decision, but I'll make something and add them after the jam.

Plays very smoothly and looks pleasant! Feels like a finished mobile game. Great job!

Really cool and extremely polished, especially for a single person. Very well done!

The double jump doubling as an attack is sooo much fun
