I am generally a really unskilled gamer, but even as I was getting my ass handed to me I had a lot of fun. The gameplay is really quick and responsive, and all the visuals are on point. Special props for having an entire soundtrack with personalized tracks for each boss, and for having a really nice itch page.

This game was an absolute delight to play! I tackled it on medium difficulty and had a blast throughout. While I must admit, medium presented some decent challenges, it only added to the thrill. The music set the perfect mood, the art style was captivating, and each boss encounter felt refreshingly unique. I especially enjoyed the clever integration of the theme, and using kunai to traverse was a highlight for me. Even the AI-generated backgrounds seamlessly complemented the overall experience. Controls felt intuitive, never leaving me puzzled about which button to press. And let's talk about that UI—it was sleek and impressive. In summary, this game was a finely crafted, enjoyable journey from start to finish

Its a perfect usage of the theme, pretty simple and complex mechanic.

The concept of this game is simple: click on platforms to move yourself or throw your weapon to progress through various bosses. In practice however, its depth is deceptive. The learning curve is steady and you find yourself learning new angles and strategies as you go. The charming pixel art draws you in from the moment you launch and the accompanying music is wistful and evocative. This game on easy mode is a fun walk through various scenes and boss mechanics, but the real joy I garnered was through setting challenges for myself on the normal and speedrun modes. I spent literal hours trying to perfect the boss fights by not taking any damage, or in the case of speedrun finishing all the levels without retrying any individually, and not once did I feel like I failed because of something out of my control. It pushed me to want to be the best and reach for the true sense of accomplishment that beating my challenges did. I would be eager to see this game expanded as the potential I see in what was made here in such a short time-frame is awe-inspiring. Kudos to you for an excellent submission!

This is a really really cool game. The core combat breaks my brain a little, I kept mixing up the ‘throw’ and ‘jump’ buttons, but I love how all the boss attacks interact with the core mechanic of jumping/swapping between platforms.

It’s also really impressive that every boss is basically always positioned in a ‘hittable’ angle, like even if the boss is in the bottom right corner, there’s always some perfect angle between platforms to hit with a kunai, very cool. The different boss gimmicks were pretty cool too. The ghost boss (4th boss) with the tombstone and the phantom frog was probably my favorite fight.

The art is really nice too, quite polished. Nice job!

I really liked the premise of the game and the boss designs were pretty neat. I think it would be nice if you didn't have to quite hover over the pad you wanted to throw at/jump to, but if you're mouse position almost acted as the second point in a line (e.g. you were always aiming at *something*, almost as if it were a joystick)

Regardless, great entry, I really enjoyed it.

Amazing submission. Simple yet well executed mechanics and lovely art.  It was a very enjoyable game, I really like how it had the strategy of a puzzle game but still felt like an action boss fight. The menu was amazing as well. One nitpick is that the backgrounds felt a little bit disconnected from the game.

Really great concept, and super well-executed as well! I think I personally might prefer this as a puzzle/strategy game as I had a hard time balancing planning my shots with dodging quick attacks, but that is definitely a personal preference thing. Great work!

Really cool game.

I like the mechanic of jumping between platforms and trying to throw the Kunai through the boss. The controls are decent, but I wish the cursor radius was larger so it's easier to click on platforms quickly. The exchange mechanic was cool, but I wish it was more useful apart from dodging a few specific attacks. I like the final boss because the exchange mechanic is more important. The art is epic, and the sound is pretty good.

Overall, I really enjoyed it!

It's an interesting mechanic to fight the boss, but I find the mouse targetting and controls a bit too slow to master that mechanic.  There are some attack patterns, the ones the spread over the screen, that I'm unclear on how to avoid.
