Deirdre's itch.io pageGame's Take on the Theme
The characters are thrown in a world fueled by Torque. Almost every boss and weapon utilizes rotation in some way
Did your team make the majority of the art and music during the jam?
Yes

Wow, this is awesome! Everything clicks together so well and is so fun to play
Sounds, musics and visuals are amazing. Impressive how you managed to have so many bosses and 3 different playable characters as well, congratulations ! (Very polished too, with the fully featured menu !)
If I have to guess, this game will be one of the top tiers of the jam! Absolutely stunning! The art, the music, the boss fights, everything. The only thing I have to say is that I will definitely be looking forward if you guys continue working on this one. Congratulations!
Thank you very much!
This is really graphically stunning, fun game loop too. I enjoyed it

Thank you for playing! I'd be happy if you could rate as well
ok i am playing your game to give a full rate
Honestly impressive how you managed to add so much content. I like the art, characters and overall retro vibe to it
Haha yeah we might've gone a bit too overboard making unique weapons for each character. Thanks for playing!
Best game I've played in this jam so far! the art style is amazing and the animations are incredibly fluid. The bosses are very well designed and each feels very unique to fight, their moves also feel well thought out. Very impressive!
Thank you so much! Means a lot to us
The game is really pretty!
Amazing arstyle and the art is really consistent. Super retro but also very stylish.
The boss designs are very creative and nice. The standard controls upon opening the game are really strange? But you can thankfully change them.
Most indicators are really hard to see, and are not clear of what the attack will do. The shooting mech dude boss does color changes depending on what attack he will do which is a really nice touch but all of his attack indicators are a big red circle and its not clear what the attack will do.
Good job and nice game.
Thank you for playing
Visually very impressive. Maybe it's subjective, but I don't find the controls very convenient, especially on the keyboard.
Thanks for playing, you can change the controls from settings
Honestly pretty impressive what you've done here.
It's got a nice clean pixelated art style with goofy character designs, this honestly brings me back to PS1 era with Rayman and Tombi.
All the player attacks are unique and interesting each with their own take on the theme. And bosses spinning through a wheel of attacks was a cool idea, I recommend making the wheel slightly bigger, or moving it more central as I didn't even know it was there first 2 bosses. There was also little time to look up at it whilst dodging attacks. But regardless its a really cool idea.
I do greatly appreciate the inclusion of keybinding, its always good to see on pc games as everyone has their own preferences. Just to add, your keybind screen has no icons for number-pad keys, they still work it just doesn't say what keys they are in the menus/tutorial.
Some nit-picky feedback:
the player's hurt box could be a little smaller as I kept getting hit by attacks that barely even touched me.
I'd recommend making the arrow telegraphs for attacks a little more visible, at first I didn't even realise there even were any. However as I came to learn the attacks this was more of a git-gud moment, so maybe its fine.
And as a small personal gripe, I'd recommend seeing how the game feels without contact damage. The number of times I got hit by the boss just walking at me or by teleporting through them but not far enough. For bosses like the cogs it makes sense but when a boss just walks at you with little to no warning it gets a tad bit annoying. Just to clarify contact damage is simply just something I have a personal grudge against, but I understand why games include it.
Nit-picks out of the way its a really good fun game which I can see being a contender for the top places. Whilst it takes a bit of time to learn and master the bosses, once you do its very rewarding.
Thank you for your feedback! We will definitely consider removing the contact damage for certain bosses. Little fun fact, the Deirdre ~ Goddess of Time boss doesn't have any contact damage due to her hitbox lol
Very fun game :)
controls were very difficult for me, i assume this has to do with the retro style of the game. Cool artstyle and everything else though!
Thanks for playing! You can rebind the controls in settings
The music was really good and fitting, and boss designs were unique from each other. I like the gameplay variety provided by the different bosses, characters, and upgrades. It took me quite a while to get accustomed enough to the controls to be able to actually fight properly though, and was almost turned away by that. I also wish I could get information on the upgrades before purchasing them.
Thanks for playing! As of now, the upgrades are simple DPS/cooldown boosts. We will hopefully add more elaborate upgrades after the jam
This is such a very good but a bit too hard game for me ! Pixel art is really on point, you guys impressed me !!! If I had one thing to say it will be that the arena is too much zoomed, as we don't have enough space to get safe and decrease stress before going back to fight ! Thank a lot for your submissions :)
Really cool visuals and music—you can tell a lot of effort went into this game. The gameplay is unusual, but I adapted quickly, and the concept is both original and interesting. I loved it! Great job!
I really like the overall vibe of the game! The pixel art is awesome and the game is simple enough to pick up and play.
I find that the red hit indicators are difficult to see in some stages. Other than that, awesome work!
Cool action game! I kept dying and managed to see a lot of the bosses haha! Wondering how many bosses there are, but I'll find out soon enough! Loving the art and music, very well done, congratulations!
You'd enjoy the final boss a lot haha, thanks for playing!
This game is very interesting, and a reasonable take on the theme. The controls don't feel good, which makes for a less fun experience. The art and music though, they are very good, and it's cool you were able to make it yourselves. We bought licensing to the music for most of our game, since we didn't have a musician available during the 30 days. I understand the effect you are going for with the purple on the text, but I think it makes the text harder to read. Great work, I look forward to seeing more from you over time :)
Thank you so much for playing!
