Fight against a spinning washing machine! The player plays in the boss/ washing machine to dodge the spinning water and shoot stinky bombs(recyclable) to attack.

Love the visual style and the cutscenes, however I think the game could use some more boss moves, and maybe the need to jump to survive on higher level

Hey I loved it! The art is so good, the Sock is very charismatic, the washer seems very evil xD and the game is well polished! Controls are smooth and the later levels are really challenging! Musics and SFX are funny and matches the game's vibe, gameplay fits perfectly to the jam's theme! Great project guys, congratz! :D

The art and the premise are funny and good, but the idea that you need to cover the boss with stinky is not well told in game, the boss don't seem to get more moves than one more water beam per phase, also waiting for stinky to recharge takes a bit.

Thank you for playing. The stinky bombs can be recycled by touching the residue. Player don't need to cover the boss with the residues, just need to shoot and attack. But this is actually a good idea! We are working on a tutorial and more mechanics. Thank you for the feedback!
Well use of theme with very pleasant graphic. Control feel tight and responsive. However I think the boss design can be improved. Correct me if Im wrong, but isn't later phase of the boss is just more water beam? It can do something different for variety, such as projectiles, or water waves. Overall not bad, keep working on it!

The game's take on the theme is really good. I like it. moving around the washer to avoid attacks and strike the machine at different angles was fun.
Having a second move for the boss would add a lot. A new load of clothes bouncing around the washer that has to be avoided, or an evil sock that runs around the machine and needs to be jumped over idk.

Very cute game! I really like the art and animations! I do think the ammo reload takes a little too long so it makes the gameplay experience a bit too drawn out. Other than that, nice work!

The reason why regen is made to be slow is you can pick up random falling down ammo to regen more quickly! But we didn't have enough time to test for the perfect ammo cost rate, regen rate and recovery rate. The current one can cause some problems!
I loved the artstyle, the sock looks so naughty!
I don't necessarily think it is monotonous, neither boring, but it would benefit from more variation in boss attacks, or even increasing velocity and adding a dodge mechanic to the sock.
It would also be nice if the reload time was shorter. I wasn't sure what I was missing until the bar started refilling.. Adding a tutorial as well would be really helpful!
Anyways, for me this one stands out from the artstyle and music. Well done!

There is a velpcity increase as the level increases, maybe it is too little and not obvious. And the sock can dash if you click shift. (Little tip: sock goes invinsible when dashing haha)

I liked the concept and art style, but game is too easy and monotonous, therefore - boring. You should've started with 3 lines of water stream.

I would like to give you some ideas. For instance: sometimes water fills the drum and player has to run to the top, or water drips coming from the drum so make game a little more harder. And add soap to the surface where player runs to make it slippy. Maybe you will add extra levels like dishwashing machine or smth. I hope i gave you some ideas, and i ask you to check my project too to get some criticism from your team. Good luck!

A very amusing concept! I really liked that you put effort into adding a cutscene for extra context! The gameplay is solid, though there are clearly some unrealized possibilities—seems like the deadline didn’t allow for everything you wanted. But even so, the game is engaging.

A nice game, I felt lost the first few minutes, but I managed to understand it by throwing that slime to the core of the washing machine. Although the gameplay is repetitive, I feel like more variety in the way the washing machine attacks could go a long way in terms of the gameplay (I believe different washing machines clean in different ways so it could be different attack patterns, and maybe a broken washing machine could shake the whole stage?), but the art is without a doubt spectacular.

We actually had a super similar concept in the first few days of the jam very much like this! So glad someone ended up making a laundry machine arena game! Definitely has a lot of potential and I'd love to see it developed further!
High five for the similar idea! We thought about changing concept in the middle of the month since the premise was kinda limiting. But we just adored the story so much. I mean who doesn't want to be a smirking sock anyways? haha
This is an ingeniously fun take on the jam, purely in terms of concept it's definitely my favorite use of the theme that I've so far. The music does so much to accentuate the silliness of it too, makes for such a fun atmosphere

I always knew lost socks were actually out there causing problems! This was a fun game, and I'm assuming endless? I didn't have any idea what to do at first, so a tutorial or short prompt in game would be a big help. The art and music are awesome! Needed a moment to understand whatI was supposed to be doing.
Considering how there isn't much to the first three levels, I think the washing machine should have much less HP. Like, 3 goops to get through LV1 to understand what your goops are doing, and what payoff there is to hitting them. I was honestly ready for the game to end after the first bar because it just took that long without any challenge. Having to stand still to regen your goop is interesting, but only later when the WM's attack has a non-zero chance to hit. And even when you do get hit it doesn't feel like you'll ever die, so it's affordable to just regen your goop while tanking it because it doesn't matter.
Maybe the water the WM spills could fill it up, decreasing how much room you have to run, and thus putting a timer on your battle. It's a good game visually, but lacking in challenge and reward for the effort of having to hit this thing 100 times.
Thank you for the feedback! We are working on improving the navigation. I really like your suggestion of “3 goops” and “payoff”. Due to lacking of time, we cut off the tutorial and thought level 1 could give players time to get used to the mechanics. But you are right, it’s better to be short and straight forward as a ”tutorial”.
We didn’t have time to make some levels/bosses that we designed, including the limiting space by filling up water actually. But we are still working on the game to make it “complete” with more levels and a polished story. Thank you so much for the insights really<3
