How does your game fit the theme?
It's a puzzle game where you have to open doors!
Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
I wrote all the code myself and made most of the assets from scratch. However, I also used some assets (mainly music) which I made sure I have the proper licenses.

Really good game! I'm surprised I didn't play more "escape the room" types of games in this jam, so this was a really nice surprise =)!
The graphics are quite nice and the sound design is really good! I love the general "puzzly" ambiance of your game ^^.
I enjoyed pretty much all the little puzzles I managed to complete, but gave up at the 24-switches door. Not because it was difficult, I probably would have arrived at a solution at some point, but just out of sheer boredom ^^'. The other puzzles looked more like "real" puzzles where I had to think, but this one just felt like "randomly pressing buttons without any logic until something happens". I hope I don't miss a lot of doors ^^'.
So yeah, overall it's a nice game, and I had fun! It reminded me of all the little "escape the room" flash games I played a loooooong time ago (M.O.T.A.S, Crimson Room, Submachine, that good old stuff =p) and I enjoyed playing it ^^!
Thanks for your feedback!! For that specific door I wanted to do kind of a rage bait but I don't think I did it quite the right way. There's actually no way (as far as I know) to set all switches on green. The door is actually unlocked from the start, but obviously players will try to go for the puzzle first at that point in the game and that was the idea, to trick them. The hint I wanted to give the player is that always 2 seconds (2 or 3 I believe), the door unlocking sound always plays. Maybe I should have had that sound repeat in case people missed it, since you can't go back and have it replayed, which means the only hint is lost and now you really think that you have to solve the puzzle.

Oh my god, I fell RIGHT INTO IT. That's actually genius xD. Honestly, I think you did it the right way, that's on me xD. I just fell into the trap of thinking that this door was just the kind of bullshit level you throw 1h before the deadline of a game jam, but it was way more genius than that xD. Maybe, adding even more buttons, so there is a ridiculous amount everywhere on the wall, could make the player understand better, but honestly
I finished it and got the cake, but it was a lie ='( xD. The "written numbers on the wall" puzzle was a bit tricky, it took me many tries to find the correct order of the numbers... I don't know if there was a logic to it or not xD.
I adjusted my ratings accordingly, because I feel so stupid to not even try to open the door that you deserve one more "Game design" star xD.
Awesome game, keep up the good work ;).
I liked the puzzles and also got stuck at the ice door lol but all in all really cute.
Game is great! I absolutely love the premise, but couldn't get past the ice door after pondering for 30 mins, even after looking at other comments. I think this is an amazing literal representation of the theme, and it works great!
Look like its your first Jam, it great. Because you are on solo project so u can't handle all role like art, game design, so its still good when you finish the game in Jam duration .Btw, I got stuck on the ice door.
Yes! It was a good first experience, but I'll definitely team up on following jams for this very reason!
Good luck.
Welll done, im sad that i got stuck in the magic word puzzle. But fits the theme very well!

Very cool idea. I liked the different doors and the puzzles on how to open them. very well done!
Thanks!
I love the concept and its simplicity! But I ended up getting stuck on the ice door. i clicked on everything i can, but to no avail. Does the text input box have anything to do with the puzzle? Also, as other people said, the visuals could use a bit of work. The pixel art itself is nice, but they vary a lot in resolution, making everything look inconsistent.
But for a first game jam, this is a great submission!
I really liked the game even though it's very simple. The ice door was kind of tricky but once I knew what to do it took me a couple of minutes. Sadly my will to play ended when I came across the door with many, MANY switches. Still... great job!
ahhh yes door i like the simplisity and the music was chill
You have a really cool idea for your game! I confess that I had to go to the comments to get the secret word! I tried everything haha Very well done! Congratulations!
Congrats on your first project without following any tutorials! You definitely nailed the theme of the game jam. You've got the basic mechanics figured out for lots of different puzzles now, you'll be able to include those in your next game!
Thank you for your comment! Means a lot <3
I got stuck on the ice door, it feels like should be able to interact with something but not sure what. If it needs another password a hint would be nice.
A lot of people got stuck on that one, should've made it more clear! As a hint I would say that the new objects that spawn with the ice door matter :)
INFINITE variations of DOORS :O
very nice idea!
Good, simple and clear game! This is great for the first time! By releasing the game at the jam, you have already done what many others have not been able to do! Now you need to develop your skills and release better and better games! Good luck on your way!
nice simple game! got stuck at the magic word. I saw the answer down in the comments eventually. But I was putting "abracadabra", "houdini", "alakazam" lol. congrats on the game submission!
hahahha feels like Gandalf outside the gates of Moria if you watched LOTR! Thanks!
The puzzles get very hard very fast. Maybe you could include a bit more hints in the game? Otherwise good, and definitely very good for your first game jam!
Gotta admit, some puzzles were changed during the night before caffeine induced craze hahahhah. Thanks for the feedback!
I like the puzzle aspect of the game, but sadly I couldn't figure out how to progress after the ice door. Luckily I found out the magic word :D
Thanks a lot!
For your first game this is pretty neat!! You did a great job to be your first! Tho please tell me what's the magic word?
As a downsider the graphics aren't the same so it's a bit weird looking. As also like a menu and a good page would brighten up the game alot!
Nonetheless really well done! You can be proud!
The magic word is "please"! I didn't consider that this might be something that is extremely cultural dependent, cause here in my country it's a usual saying, but it probably isn't so everywhere else.
Yeah the graphics were tough for me. I wanted to team up with someone but I was a little bit nervous. I literally had to do pixel art because it's the only thing I could feasibly make something off of hehe.
thanks for the review!
Ow I think I tried please maby I had it spelt wrong, gonna give it another try! And that's fair I'm also nervouse for going into team, my last one ended badly. But nonetheless it's nice having someone you can rely on! Definitly try to find someone, I'm an pixel artist btw ;)!
I just tried and it works tho I think it says it's wrong when you first try somthing else and than use "please"
Fun Game. The only weakness for me are the graphics. Artstyle, colors do not fit together.
Yep, in hindsight in terms of art there's a lot I didn't consider. Thanks for the review!
