How does your game fit the theme?
It is a survival tower defense game where you are faced with waves of enemies. You have time before each wave to be strategic and use your resources which is the 'calm before the storm'. The storm is when the enemies arrive, each time getting more intense.

Did you write all the code and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes apart from music.

Interesting concept. I like the style of the graphics and the design of the monsters. It looks like things are a bit unfinished. The idea of being able to control the villagers is a neat idea. Maybe if you could just select on the screen where you want them to go it would be easier to control?

Right now, I don't know which number is associated with which location on the level, so I don't know which number to select without trial and error.

Good luck to you!

Nice game, with minimalistic graphics. Had to restart once because the Q interaction got bugged.

Submitted

Managed to figure out the controls, I think you should place them within the game so people won't have so much trouble with them, an remove the controls option/ any buttons that don't work. Interesting concept, it is a pity you couldn't finish.

Submitted

There's some serious control bugs, I can't really get past :/

Hey was it when you interact with a villager by pressing "q", U number will show on the screen. Just press "T" to confirm and then you should be able to move again

Submitted

1: On the start menu, when I click "Controls" it stops being selectable

2: I kept being stuck on the numbers menu, but it seems to be sorted now.

I cant make the soldiers attack anyone though, they're just standing still :/

Developer(+1)

Sorry about that, We didn't have the time to make the soldiers attack. At the moment only you can attack. You ge points by recruiting them but they won't help. The controllers menu doesn't work . Will finish the game once the jam finish. Many thanks for playing .

Nice game I enjoying it! However, it seems there's an issue with the controls—when I interact with the village, my controls stop working.

Submitted

Really nice idea, I liked being able to control the villages.

Hee-ho. Interesting idea. But I have issue with control (after interact with Villager, couldn't control myself)

Cool take on the theme. Calm vs Storm music helped with the transition. One thing I hit is when commanded a unit to go to a position, if you confirm and move around the number, your player can get stuck? Good entry!

It is a nice game and has clever art choices.

Great Work!

Nice idea, but when i moved to the person i couldn't control myself and it kept moving forward I think it's a bug?

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, I'll have a look

Good attempt! The music was bangin', gonna have it stuck in my head lol. I think conceptually it's a great idea, just needs a bit of polish and finishing! Keep at it :)

Good game, at first I thought that there would be a continuation beyond this map, and I just went behind the screen, it would be good to close everything there with an invisible wall if there is nothing there :)

But overall I liked it!

Cool concept. Like the idea and audio is great. Just its obviously unfinished as the villagers didn't attack, didn't seem to be any health, and enemies weren't very threatening. But really cool idea. Keep up the good work.

fun game, i also like the music, i managed to put the villagers in a specific spot but they did not fight?

Developer

Thanks for playing. Unfortunately we didn't have enough time to complete the game. But we will finish it after the game jam ends. Follows us if you want play the finished game

The game is promising! However, there are still a few small things missing for the game to be truly complete: a bit of UI, life bars, indications of positions on the map and a bit of visual feedback. With that, the game will be much more polished and accessible ;)

Bravo for this entry in any case!

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the honest feedback. We will finish the game once the jam is over. The changes you recommended will be added to our to do list

the game looked simple and the idea was creative, but i experienced some bugs making the game unplayable and kind of frustrating in which the enemies wouldnt appear, and also the villagers werent doing anything and i had to attack all of the enemies myself

Simple and nice, cool game!

Nice job on the game! I would recommend turning itch.io's fullscreen setting off for the game. If I click very precisely I can click the correct one (Unity's), but most players might miss it becaus it's extremely hard to click it. The itch.io fullscreen button will keep the game in a box and Unity's fullscreen button should work fine, so itch.io's button should be left off for this game. You can make this change without changing the game file. Other than that, good work on this!
