Great graphics, but if this is what most of the games in this jam are going to be like, I don't think my nerves can handle it.

I've worked with isometric tilemaps in Godot before and I can understand how much effort went into making it look like this. Great game, and good work! Some of the balancing and game length was out of tune, but other than that solid entry.

I really like the visuals of this game, it feels great to see it! Also the sounds fit great with the ambient and the thunders are good since aren’t too loud or annoying, and bg music feels cozy and even if you fail, feels that it’s ok or don’t make me feel pressured to attend all the clients haha

About the gameplay, after buying some upgrades of speed in all the areas, feels smooth, I like how fast you can do a dish, but the only downside I felt was how it feels to pick an ingredient, sometimes I struggle with the corners, like the one with the fish and potato or the one of the image I’ll put to show it. I put the lettuce in that corner and couldn’t grab it again which made me lose in the 8th day (I tried again and reach day 10)

 

If grabbing an ingredient is polished a bit more, I think it could be a lot more fun since for me it’s the only thing that I didn't like much.  (I don't discard the possibility that this is just me being bad at the game hahaha)


But outside of that, the game feels good and it’s amazing to see this done in 1 week :) 

Oh, also the gods are a good touch, I didn’t feel those annoying and making Zeus angry can give you more money since it gives extra clients haha. Everything feels good together and some upgrades didn't make sense to me at the start, later I saw why you can buy longer day shifts and make the clients walk faster.

I had fun playing this game, and lastly, if you wait enough in the buy menu or the game over screen, the background ends so you see a black background.

This game has a really pretty isometric art style, UI feels a bit rough but nothing you can't fix or update with some minor elbow greese polish.

The music is very simple yet fitting / calm.

Happy you put in the effort for a proper settings panel that you can access in game.

For me the game itself is too hard, did manage to force past lvl 2 but it was a bit of a grind. After playing I do think a mousepointer based selection approach would have made it a bit more intuitive to play.

Put additional feedback & comments in the doc I sent over Discord. Would love to see you guys continue to work on this game and polish it up a bit more. Maybe at some point I'll be able to get at least to lvl 5 :D

Really nice concept! I was quite enjoying the game, visuals and music is quite nice but the isometric kitchen is a bit hard on the eye. During playing I noticed that I would need to slide to hope to stay on the right counter as it was kind of hard to select the right one, and for some reason some interactions were doubled causing duplications ruining made orders. I love the idea and even if the game made me pissed at points, I enjoyed it quite! Really good job!

Some lil things I noticed:

  • it would be nice to know what the more elusive upgrades does like the better menu
  • god tutorial showing up every day became a difficulty after a while

This was cute! I enjoyed the mechanics. I know my wife would enjoy it more than me because she loves these kinds of time management games. I thought the God's were a fun touch, although I sold fish right under Poseidon's nose so maybe something didn't work right. Either way, I liked the game!

Takes a tiny bit of getting used to, but after that the gameplay becomes more intuitive and days become easier, until the large orders and many customers come in :)

Picking up certain stuff was a bit weird. Love the game but super hectic and I was feeling stressed out :). Will check it out again at a later time to beat my highscore.

Biggest complaint out of the way upfront: I was having some trouble with seeing the plates and bowls (the effect meant to hide the corner wall when I walked behind it was inverted for some reason). I was obviously able to play around this, and really had a blast. Not every dish is easy to figure out how to make at first, but it's kinda fun to accidentally figure it out in the scramble. The upgrade system is also a blessing (being able to move quicker and chop faster, etc). Fantastic project, well done. (No pun intended)

I'm on Google Chrome. Oooh and I just double-checked. It only happens when I make the game go fullscreen on my 4K monitor. On my 1440p monitor, fullscreen works just fine. So it's a classic first-world problem!

It's a very nice well made game! The art and the concept are very unique.  I also like the cooking system, although I get confused a lot by the dishes - which one should I deep fry? Which one should I boil? But I think that with enough tries and looking at the sprites carefully, I can get past it. Very well done, team!

The gameplay does feel nice at first, but I find the challenge escalates too quickly on day 3.
I had to play the tutorial twice to be able to understand the gameplay, but I have yet to know how to combine multiple ingredients for a soup.

I think the game would be better if the default difficulty be adjusted a little bit.

However, the game setting is really creative and the art-style is good looking.

ahhhh, thats a shame! scaling difficulty like this is hard to balance. i didnt think to test on mid-skill playtesters.

on my end i've already adjusted my levers to change this. it wont show in the game, but the 3-5 period should be slightly easier.
